It has been many years since Pitch was defeated by the Guardians. But in the darkest regions of the world, the nightmare king made a pact with the powerful Old One Cthulhu, allowing him create an army of darkness far more powerful than before, planing to plunge the world into eternal darkness. Now the only thing that stands in his way are the Guardians. The Man in The Moon seeing the coming danger has chosen a big number of new Guardians to help fight in the coming war. While many folklore characters have joined the Guardians, more darker ones have sided with Pitch and his legions of darkness. it is for you to decide whether the world will fall into darkness, or become bright once again.
this is the OOC
IC

rules:
no god modding
characters have to be from folklore
you are allowed to use characters from the movie, except for Pitch because i want to able to keep the rp going so controlling the bad guy will help a lot, and unless there is someone who wants to be any of them i will also post for the Guardians who were in the movie if no one wants to rp as them. along with them i will have a character of my own, and possibly another just in case there is a lack of variety with the Dark Followers
no killing other people's characters unless allowed to by the person. this may be based off of a children's movie, but characters can die
no excessive swearing, i will allow damn, crap, hell and other minor swears, essentially this rp is PG when it comes to language, but is PG 13 when it comes to violence
in the character sheet it says Alliance which is to know whether you are allied with the Guardians or the Dark Followers
if you do not post in the IC after a week or decide to drop out, you character will be killed off, but if you are busy or need time, then please PM me or post here in the OOC and your character won't die. if no one posts then all the characters die and Pitch wins the war, so if you all drop out then it's a sad ending, hehehehe!
if you have any questions, just ask

I haven't seen the movie. But, I like the plot and roleplay description... I'm Thinking Loch Ness.

What do you think about that Gotharic?
may we make up a character or must they already exsist?
The Story Of The Wild Ones.
In the end, as we fade into the night, who will tell the story of your life?
that's fine, as long the character is something from folklore that people may or use to believe exists then it's okay, in case you make another character, try not to be too modern, the character has to at least have been created before the 20th century

you can make up the character's name and personality, but the character's species has to be something from folklore and the character's history has to be fit the background the chosen species, like say if you were to use an Elf, you would have to clarify if it's an elf from ether Norse folklore or some other culture's folklore, and not some creature from a made up world or land, they have to be from the real world because they were once ordinary humans in a past life. does that help?
Ok about folklore though.... That's like storytelling by word of mouth right? So a story conveyed by word of mouth would change at least a little bit in every retelling... So there may be a 1/2 dozen or a dozen or more versions of this story. As long as we are true to "a" version of our characters folklore then that is fine?
Ok, Nevermind I think you already clarified my question... Which upon asking it when I did, turned it into a silly question.... -____-
yeah that should be fine, as long as it's not completely original, like using an Elf from a different world or fantasy land, it has to have some connection to the culture it's based on

well i guess that's okay, just clarify in the character sheet that it's the Shakespearean style of fairy
