The Super-Peasants of Gluten, Syphilis

You are a common village peasant in the small town of Gluten:


Gluten is beside the Giblet River, which flows through Syphilis. (Names may sound familiar.)


You have heard rumors:
Emphysema has a power-hungry and greedy king, who has been taxing his people into poverty and hiring brutish tax collectors who take even more than the king demands.
Malaria has been terrorized by a ferocious monster.
Varicella is in the midst of a civil war.
You get little news from the isolated kingdom of Kwashiorkor, but all this matters little to you, for it is all a mere peasant can do to keep the weeds out of your garden. It seems like every day you pull them, and every day there are more than the day before.


Then one day...
BOOM! Cosmic radiation blast and everyone has superpowers!

Your superpower will be determined by your genetics. You will be able to make suggestions as to what you do or do not want, but I have 40 superpower options listed on a chart, and each one can only be received by someone of certain eye color, hair color, and blood type. Thus, a form of randomness.

This town has a parson, a blacksmith, a stablehand, a tailor (me?), a shopkeeper, a barber, a baker, a butcher, some farmers, and a passing stranger. All but the stranger know each other. All were hit by the blast. It may have killed some, but the survivors now have incredible powers and can choose to help someone in need of it...or just become a violent madman if they feel like it.

Certainly interested! I also somewhat like the super powers being random as well, since it leads to more RP, at least in my opinion. Also seeing you had maps and stuff made, and a chart, makes me think it's a little more then just an interest check! But I am interested, certainly.

I was thinking about being a tailor, but I'll be the baker. Where is this town's candlestick maker, anyway?

Oh, and also, it seems kinda scary to be living in the Country of Syphilis. Gotta be careful.

I thought a candlstick-maker wouldn't get much business in a small village, but there seems to be an extra building in the corner we could fit one into.
If we get enough people, you can be the tailor and I can just GM. I have a tailor I've used in other roleplays and think if I make a new character for this one I might be prejudiced on features since I know what will offer what powers...but I don't really remember those of my tailor, so he should work.

I'm making a character sheet format. I actually didn't plan to put this roleplay up until Friday but got ahead of schedule.

I just looked it up. I didn't realize it was an STD...I specifically didn't use the name Gonorrhea because it was one. I would have used Epilepsy or Tetanus. I could switch it for the OOC. I still have my 19-layer gimp file for editing.
