Luna didn't have a chance to react to the Orc, her horse rising up on its hind legs, kicking at it. She patted its head and turned her head just in time to see the nasty creature cut the other horses legs, the poor horse giving one last shriek as Neefie put it out of its misery. She frowned as it made her sad and listened to Nefarious yell for her to hide as he pulled out his katana. She steered the horse to a nearby tree and tied the reins to a branch as she jumped off the horse. She looked over over to where Nefarious was, keeping a look out for other Orcs.

She decided that maybe if she snuck up on the Orc, she could take his axe as he held it high, giving Neefie the advantage. She slowly snuck up on it, the Orcs back facing her. She waited for Nefarious to give her a signal.

Da'rnu finished the goat, having savored teh taste of the charred flesh. Nothing was left of the goat with the exception of the head that was at the base of the mountain by then. He looked down and he saw the conflict with the orcs. He had been watching them for a while but never engaged them, instead of just observing. Also the area of the mountain was a harpy territory. Though they were just pests on their own they are dangerous when gathered in a murder so the Golden Dragon had just stayed on the mountain top but he had a feeling that this day would be quite different. "There are times when one doesn't feel like acting like a lady," Assallya replied, answering his question by taking the bottle in hand. Taking a long draft from the bottle leaned her head back and let her eyes flutter. "That's the good stuff."

Elven brandy? How odd was that? Assallya appreciated a good vintage but didn't have any particular attachment to the drink. While she was elven, she considered her true heritage to be otherwise. She'd returned home to elven lands after a childhood away only to find herself ostracized.

Offering Chee Chee the bottle so he could sample it Assallya considered the little man... bolee. The were much alike. She doubted they would appreciate the bolee in most of these human lands any more than they appreciated her. Oh, they welcomed her quickly enough to their beds and sought her out for trinkets and love philters but the moment they had what they wished they spurned her.

"Come hither," Assallya said, motioning that he should sit down adjacent to her.

Ruavain awoke to find himself on a small cot surrounded by other wounded people, the few people that had actually known a bit of medicine in the town were running ragged trying to watch over and clean up the wounds of the wounded. His entire body felt stiff, every single muscle ached and he had a serious thirst, a woman tending to the wounds of the man next to him noticed that he had awoken and nervously moved over to him a small cup of water. She didn't help his weakened body to the drink but at least had moved it closer to him, that was as much as he expected from the townsfolk, he slowly drank the cups contents and then laid back and stared at the wooden ceiling.
After a few minutes had passed Ruavain's eyes widened as he remembered his mother and burning home, he needed to check on her as well as what was left of his house. He tried to get out of the cot making his muscles ache even more than they already did, as well as a few of his joints pop, struggling he finally managed to get onto his feet. He had never before fought so hard in his life like when he had against the horde of bandits, but he knew that he was much stronger because of it. Stretching his body out as much as he could he made his way to the door of the small physician building.

Nivy had been traversing through the small wooded near the base of a large mountain with Zoma his trusty pet Rabigon. Zoma had been scouting a bit ahead ready to alert Nivy of anything that his short legged companion would find interesting. Zoma had mostly found herbs and oddly shaped mushrooms but was lucky enough to find a ornately designed dagger that was now one of his most prized positions.
The Rabigon suddenly stopped turned her head in a different direction and perked her ears up.
"What is it Zoma?" Nivy said to his animal friend.
"Orcs fighting...there" Zoma answered not moving her face from its new fixed position.
"who are they fighting?" Nivy inquired again
"...fight all around them... make no sense"
Despite Zoma's poor grasp of language, Nivy could tell that Zoma meant that there was Orcs fighting and they didn't seem to care who they fought. While it would seem like the logical decision to most would be to avoid the fight but Nivy decided to go towards the battle anyway. Nivy was starting to get a bit bored and to a gnome this was a potentially dangerous thing to be so he would need some excitement to keep himself from fading.
"lets go check it out" Wispered Nivy
Zoma nodded her head and continued to silently scout a head. It wasn't long before the two saw a man and a women fighting an Orc. The young women seemed to be sneaking up behind the distracted Orc while the man was keeping it busy. The man and women seemed human but something was off about them and he couldn't tell what. Nivy and Zoma hid behind a thick tree about ten feet from the fight. Niv's curiousity got the best of him and he snuck a few peaks of the events unfolding before him.

Mazoga had since finished her catch, laying down to rest on her bedroll, the rocks not making for a comfortable surface. She had picked her teeth clean with one of the bones, now laying leisurely. Mazoga had almost settled into a deep sleep until she heard the sounds of running, a chase. She sat up, a bear chasing a robed girl through the forest. Judging from the girl's height, Mazoga knew she had no chance at defending herself from the beast. She did wonder why and how a lone girl managed to find herself in the mountains, anyway. Regardless, Mazoga scooped up her blade and made haste, splashing across the river. She ran after the beast and the girl miraculously inching up to them. By the time she had reached them they had come a considerable distance away from her camp. Mazoga swung for the beast's legs, hoping for it to be significantly hurt. It was, but it came tumbling down the hill towards the girl, rolling over her as it fell limp, perhaps breaking its neck. Mazoga swore she heard something out from under the bear to the effect of, "I hate you, you green-skinned nitwit."

Mazoga perked her eyebrows and pursed her lips, the girl was definitely a child with that attitude. With a bit of effort, Mazoga managed to push the large bear off of the girl. With a pant, show rose to her feet, wiping her brow. She put her hands on her waist and smiled at the child, "There you go. Now, how did you get out h-"

    What in the Gods' names.

Indariel propped herself up on her hands as she sat, "hmph, you couldn't have gotten here later than that. Toppling the bear onto me? You are quite the savior."

Mazoga simply stood there, frozen with confusion. The child before her looked to be, well, dead. Not to mention, the girl's right hand and forearm were completely bone. Mazoga stood there, not knowing what to do. She'd never seen such a thing in all her years on the road.

    "I, um..." Mazoga drawled out.

"Yes, I am dead. What of it? I'm a powerful lich, you should fear me! Bow to me mortal!" Indariel jumped to her feet, brandishing her skeletal fist as she said that.

A few moments of silence ensued, a blank expression still on Mazoga's face as she stared at the apparent lich. She'd heard stories of ancient knowledge and vast treasures guarded by liches, deep within ancient castles or deep caves. She didn't look anything as menacing as what Mazoga imagined a lich to be. In fact, well, she started smiling, quietly giggling and then she couldn't contain herself anymore, a hearty laugh broke through.

"Hold your tongue, mortal, lest I bathe you in flame for your insolence!"

"You don't look all that menacing, you know." Mazoga said, wiping tears from her eyes.

"You have not yet even seen my power!" Indariel proclaimed, shaking her fist and standing on her toes.

"Okay." Mazoga said, simply walking off in search of her horse.

The horse had arrived late, slowly ambling down the path that Mazoga and Indariel had ran down.

"Don't you turn away from me!" Indariel said, following her.

Mazoga climbed onto her horse, offering a hand to the lich, short for such an evil and menacing being.

"Well, come on. It's still a while until we can reach Hro."

Indariel folded her arms and frowned. After a few moments devoid of words, Indariel looked at Mazoga, after a few more moments Indariel breathed the word with a bit of contempt, "Fine."

"Only because I don't know my way around these parts. I'll depart from you as soon as we reach Hro. I never liked green-skins."

"I'm only half, if that counts for something." Mazoga snickered, urging her horse to a trot.

"I might blast you apart with a spell. I'll only hate half of the mess, then." Indariel said, looking off at the mountains.

"Well, you seem grateful." Mazoga said, sarcastically.

    "Indeed." Indariel hissed.

The sounds of clashing swords and shouts slowly echoed into her eyes. Mazoga had her curiosity piqued, snapping the reins of her horse and setting off at a gallop.

"What are you doing? We're going towards the battle, you half-wit!" Indariel said, bouncing upon the saddle.

"I want to see what's going on!" Mazoga responded, keeping a watch out for the battle the sounds heralded.

She quickly pulled back on the reins, having the horse skid to a stop with all it had. The horse may have been an odd creature but Mazoga trusted it. It knew its masters commands and followed them. Mazoga swore that the thing was her only friend on the road. The lich behind her, though, she'd need some getting used to. Her being alive was a sign to Mazoga that not all would be bad between her and the lich. The scene that the pair stopped at was an Orc accosting a traveler in the distance, another hid away from it all. It seemed the highwayman was an Orc, Mazoga grew furious at one of her own kind abandoning the code of honourable and glorious battle to the life of a lowly and cowardly highwayman. She rode to the scene, shouting, "Hey, coward!"

She skidded to a halt once more and regarded the Orc with contempt. It seemed she wouldn't be able to stop the altercation, as the Orc seemed to be dead set on attacking the blade-wielding man in front of him. Mazoga unsheathed her blade, unsure of what to do to help. Her hand trembled at slaying one of her own bloodkin but what was she to do to help the man. If it was any hint to her, she spied the girl hiding from it all. She was fine killing common bandits and fighting drunken patrons but she refused to take the life of another Orc. It wasn't a conscious decision, she had to in the past, but she struggled now to help against the highwayman.

Before she even caught a glimpse of whether she caught the beast or not Elsa had felt weak and fell to her knees. She used way to much of her power right after a perfomance and was feeling the shock of it. First was the feeling of weakness that had caused her to fall to her knees in the first place. She felt powerless as the heat left her body in the middle of the cold causing her to shiver as she stared awkwardly and unfocused to the horizon. There was a glimmer of thought thinking that she should of worn something else, but it was negligible and barely thought upon as her mind felt empty. Her eyes began to slowly shut as the remaining energy in her wasn't enough to stay awake. It was rudely interrupted by a searing pain in her head as if someone had branded her mind. She let out a few screams of pain and then finally as she couldn't take it anymore fell asleep in the street.

Myna jumped as she heard Elsa scream out as if being murdered and turned around to see her pass out on the street, turning to Clare she said, "Help me take her to an inn, its darkening and starting to rain... she'll get sick otherwise."
Clare looked at her for a few seconds before nodding and going over to the sleeping woman and picked her up surprisingly easy and asked, "Where to young one?"
Frowning, Myna replied, "Follow me, I know of a nice little inn that we can stay at for the night, though I am worried about that strange thing that attacked the Dwarf king..."
After a couple minutes of walking the three arrived at a decent sized inn with a well crafted oaken door, as they entered the warmth of the large hearth blazing in the center of the room instantly warmed them. Myna went to the innkeeper and got the three of them a room then signaled for Clare to follow, they made their way up a small set of stairs before going down a small hallway and into the first door on the right into a bland stone room. Clare set Elsa down on the rather small bed that looked like it was nothing but stone and a thick comforter as padding, she then sat on a small bench across from it and looked around the cramped room.
"You never said that it was a dwarven inn... this is much too small and... hard," Clare said looking at Myna who was examining Elsa as if she was some mysterious creature that was never seen before.
"Well... at least we're not cold and wet right?" She replied innocently and smiled as she sat down on a stone stool by the bed and looked as if she was thinking about something.

No. Heat, wait! Sir!” Conelle answered spontaneously and ran to chase Heat. “Jack, the fighter of our group was killed by the dragon. Both me and Eilie aren’t really well-trained in combat. So can we tag along with you until the nearest checkpoint, at the very least.
Other than the small burnt patch of trees, the whole forest seems to has reverted back to its gloomy, hazy state from before the dragon arrived. As if stating that they still have a whole arsenals of surprises, the mist went rolling back and covered the heatwave from the flame in a count of minutes. Conelle recalled the guy saying how his senses has dulled and suddenly reminded of his last attempt of scrying. He clearly remember how he sensed everything, from a hungry woodpecker, to a pair of deers, some thirty feets on their west. “Uhh.... Heat, sir, I didn’t mean to doubt your opinion, but I don’t think the girl is still around here.” Conelle looked around him, trying to get a grasp of what happened to Eilie. “I... A scholar once told me how to raise my sensory level of a certain radius, and when I used it a few minutes ago, I can’t sense her presence anywhere. .... Well, maybe it’s just me, though

“Fine. It’s two golds. Yer buying anything else, elf?” The dwarf accepted grumpily. “That would be all, kind dwarf.” Fye reached his pocket for two golden coins and handled it to the dwarf’s hand. “Say, ye Empires ain’t have nuttin’ to do with the vegetable stock in Hro market, aye?” shining the coins with his clothes, the elf asked blatantly. “Yes, about that. It seems like there was a minor incident in Caddale, slowing down the usual trading route. It’s nothing serious, but the market’s supplies will probably arrive a little late this week.” The elf answered lightly and began to walk away from the dwarf’s stand. I really hope so. The information regarding Caddale’s bandit raid just arrived a few minutes ago. The town have a pretty boastable number of manpower for a town of its size, and their leader, Lord Roddrick, is more than capable to lead even the Empire’s army. An update report about the incident is probably being delivered here, no need to alarm the civilians. Everything is right for now. He has stayed in Hro for a while now. The Kingdom seems to greeted his visit rather warmly. Maybe a union wasn’t just a dream after all. Still pleased with his thought, Fye proceeded his way to the inn, neglecting the black swirling cloud that curled above the city.

Heat looked at him. "Sure. You and your girlfriend can tagalong, just dont slow me down. And like I said, my senses have been dulled some since my first attempt at finding something." Heat said, his emotion well hidden. He thought for a moment, letting what Connele told him about his own scrying pattern sink in. "Wait, you said a scholar taught you how to scry?" Heat asked excitedely. "What was his name?"
