Types of Superpowers and their Names.

Hi. XD Currently I'm writing something (not RP-related) and I have decided that I want to give my "superhuman" species different "types". I'm just having a hard time giving them names that aren't directly ripped from something copyrighted.

I do have two types down, that are the most easy.
Kinetics -- Those with the "manipulative" abilities
    Seers -- "Mental" Powers.

I just need some ideas for interesting names for "Physical" powers like strength and speed, and also a category to put Spontaneous-Regeneration.

I figured I'd get some advice from other writers.

Kinetic would imply motion. If you refer to things such as telekinesis and pyrokinetic I would honestly call them somethung else as Pyrokineticsm and the like are poorly named SciFi/Fantasy terms that came from people not knowing contextual naming.

    as for physical ones_.
Augmented. Becouse that is what they are. isn't it?

Increased Musclemass for physical. Spontaneous Regeneration? Put them under cell division.

Kinetics and Seers sound vaguely like the types they had in that shitty 2009 movie Push if I remember correctly. Anyway, I like Hellis's idea for Augmented, but that doesn't quite seem in line with the others. Are you aiming for something for the characters to call each other and leaning towards a more casual tone (such as shortening Kinetics to 'Nets' or something and keeping Seers?) or more towards pseudo-scientific?

My only real suggestion is for spontaneous-regeneration: Stitchers.

I'm not sure you completely understand. Those are just the wide range of powers. There are going to multiple forms of powers underneath each power "type".

They won't be used much, I just want them basically known. I really don't want to steal from a movie/show/comic as best I can because this isn't just something I'm writing for fun. I eventually hope to publish my things one day.

And the reason I'm using Kinetics for "Manipulation" is because the powers below it will have to do with the manipulation of the motion of objects/other.

Kinetics is legit a bad term, coined by Stephen King trying to relate "pyrokinesis" with "telekinesis" The latter that actually means what it names states, movement.. It implies motion as I said and has nothing to with manipulation of anything. Mancer is the suffix that should be used if anything and even that one is more related to seers if anything.

Flyers - Speedsters of any sort, flying, running, whatevah.

Bouncers - Physical types, though I agree with Hellis that this should be Kinetic.

Healers - Healing themselves or others.

Off the top of my head.

    To continue where ruby started

Stringers: For manipulators, reffering to the fact that they can make things "dance for them"

    phasewalkers: For teleporters

Shifters: For people who can shift shapes or the like. Well used but consistent with it's purpose.

Regents; For the kind of powers that can control others.

Oh, I know, Limber for powers related to physical body, like Hander for strength and Legger for speed.
Teleport related power could be called Jumper, Mover, Shortcut-er.

Specters might be better for teleporters.

'Phasewalkers' immediately brings to mind all those horrible table top RPGs.
