    'Sup?

All you cool and happenin' hepcats.

...Okay, no, I don't actually speak like that. Does anyone? Did anyone? Ever? I'm just trying - and, arguably, failing - to find a way of opening this post which manages to be less generic than a simple 'hi' without making me out to be some kind of prat. What do you mean overthinking things?

Anyway, I've got quite a bit of free time and it's been way too long since I had a proper roleplay going, so here I am. I'm no stranger to forum-based games, but I admit to being more used to a tabletop environment. Still, same game, less dice, right? Well, okay, no, not right, but near enough. So, anyway, hello, it's nice to meet you and I look forward to making your acquiantance.

Yes, that style of affair. Practically prehistoric in this day and age, I know, but there's a certain pleasure to be had from it.

Haha, I have to admit that's true. I know some people saying how awesome it was but...it's hard for me to understand why.

Well, there's more pressure to think on one's feet. Except that one is very seldom standing, so thinking on one's behind might be more accurate, but you know what I mean. And the random element the dice introduce means there's more chance for something to go unexpectedly wrong. Different strokes for different folks, though, I suppose.

Hmm maybe I'm just not old enough to have grown up with it. XD So it's different for me.
Either way, I hope you like the forum so far. =)

Damn it, now I feel old. T.T I'm only 20! But, yes, it seems quite entertaining thus far, though I grant I've had little time to reach what one might call an informed conclusion.

20 is kind of old though. XD
Hmm, do you think you're more casual or advanced level? Though trust me advanced is pretty intense. XD

Ah, I know; I'm already well into my twilight years; soon it'll be off to the old folks' home and two of the little yellow pills with every mug of tea.

I'm not sure yet, really. Having looked around a little, my inclination is to characterise myself as Advanced but that's just shorthand for incapable of brevity.
