Telekinesis - The ability to manipulate and move matter and objects with her mind. I don't think a lot of explanation is needed here. It'll start out terribly weak, but get stronger all the way through, to the point where she can focus on masses of molecules to slow or speed up their vibrations, creating heat or cold. When she gets to that point, if she has acquired a sufficient knowledge of chemistry and biology, she will even be able to mold skin back together to heal cuts and wounds (not bruises or internal injuries, it would be too risky to attempt to move around the molecules inside a person).
Telepathy - This one is weaker. The maximum she can get out of this power is simply opening a communications link between herself and another, so she wont be able to read minds, or hurt anyone, though if she's careful she may be able to convince someone that they have voices inside of their head.
PERSONALITY: Very quiet and not very talkative, Cassie is not known as one of the 'popular' girls at Coral Cove High. She's not necessarily picked on either, though- she's more just accepted as another person, never paid much attention. She's very considerate and helpful when she can be, and would never mean anyone harm. Despite her caring nature, she is slow to trust, and quick to distrust; almost overly cautious about who she is around. She hates large crowds, but also fears being alone while outdoors, and strays away from dark alleys and anything she's unsure of. As a result of this, she also fears the ocean, because she never knows what could be under the water.
HISTORY: Cassie had a wonderful life. She was born into a rich family, and 6 years after her birth, was gifted with a little brother, Daniel Edward Turelle. They were homeschooled, but every now and then they would get visits from their friends. She maintained straight As and tutored her brother, to relieve some of the stress from her parents.
One day, when she had a serious case of the munchies, she went into the kitchen to see her mother cooking dinner, but when she saw a small, dark bottle on the counter, she backed away, unseen. She feared what her mother was doing, but denied it; her own mother? Poisoning them? Impossible. When dinner was called, she told her parents that she wasn't hungry, and went without food for the entire meal. Her parents urged her to eat, but she insisted on not eating. She watched her brother enjoy the food, wondering exactly what he was eating.
Late that night, she quietly slipped into the kitchen, and started opening cabinets and drawers until she found what she was looking for. That dark bottle. From her studies, she managed to identify the contents of the bottle... poison. A specific type of poison known only to the creator of this character because she made it up on the spot.
The following few nights, she continually refused to eat the meals her parents made, and encouraged her brother to do the same. They needed to eat, but couldn't consume the poison. Late at night, she would wake her brother up, take him downstairs, and cook them both a meal. She found it quite enjoyable, and got the hang of it very quickly. But it couldn't last long- if her parents wanted them both ill... or even dead... it was unsafe to live in a house with them.
It didn't take long for her to pack her things, pack her brother's things, and flee from the home with him. They walked many miles on the road, hitch-hiking with strangers. Her brother would often say things like, "Mother said never to get into a car with a stranger." To which she would reply, "Mother also poisoned your food."
One day, they got into a car with a rugged, smelly man. They were both so used to interacting with strangers at this point, they didn't much care about his appearance, they were merely thankful for the ride. After a few miles, the man pulled over to a secluded area, and pulled a gun on them both. He forced himself onto Cassie, and the brother cried terribly in the back seat. Miraculously, a police car drove by, and the cop pulled a gun on the man. The man used the girl and the boy as human shields, threatening to kill them if the cop came any closer, and he got away, but the cop managed to get them away from him, and take them to the police station.
The police, of course, had many questions for the two children. Why were they on the road alone? Where were their parents? The girl told her story, but for the most part, they didn't believe her; just another runaway. The girl was quick-witted, however, and told them her last name is Dale, and her mother is in Coral Cove. The police took the two their, where they met up with their Aunt Rachael and her cheap apartment.
She took them in, and told them that she was suspicious of her sister and brother-in-law from the start. They had never been good characters. With her low wages, it took a while for the two previously rich kids to adjust to the poor lifestyle, but they managed.
After a few months, she was enrolled into Coral Cove High, and her brother into the elementary school. They both made straight As from the very beginning, but found themselves commonly ill. Their bodies had grown used to the food they were being served, and had difficulty adjusting to the new, healthy food that Cassie herself was cooking. Her little brother managed to get over the common illnesses, but she feared that her body may never get used to it, though she would never give up.
At first, Cassie wasn't accepted. Such a pale girl, so careful with everyone she talked to. She had grown used to being careful, especially after she was nearly sexually assaulted. She would have trust issues for the rest of her life, and would never be comfortable around strangers.
Due to her near constant illnesses, she tripped over a lot, and came off as clumsy, which she was not. She was always cautious of her surroundings, but usually had so much on her mind, along with the illnesses, that she couldn't concentrate entirely on where she was going or what she was doing at the moment. She also came off as weak, which was more accurate. She could never get her strength back up, no matter how hard she tried. None of this helped her social situation at all.
She wasn't defiant of the bullying, nor did she act meek in the face of it. She simply ignored it, completely. When people would trip her, she would carry on like nothing had happen, she wouldn't even acknowledge that it did happen. When people would call her names, she wouldn't respond in any way shape or form, not even with a facial expression. No matter what anyone did, she went unaffected, and treated them all with the same amount of respect. She often helped them in class, and actually acted kindly towards them. When people noticed that they could just not get a reaction out of her, they felt it a waste of time to tease her, so they stopped. She became a part of the people, respected by everyone. People stopped bullying others when she was around, because she would always come to help them, and at that point, picking on her was looked down on.
She's finally settled into that crummy little apartment, and found her Aunt a much realer person than her parents ever were, always hiding behind their money and lies. She was content with her situation, at peace with everything except one thing. The rising crime. Every time she looked on the news, there was a story about how crime is on the rise, or a gas station has been robbed, and sometimes even murder. Her helpful nature beckoned her to help the cops, but logic told her she could do nothing except set a good example. So that's what she chose to do.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Cassie has become a wonderful chef, and a successful tutor. Some parents pay her to tutor their children once a week, and she uses the money to help her Aunt out.
