Red Dawn meets Metro 2033 RP

No, not the new one. The good ol' one with Patrick Swayze and Chezza Sheen.

Now, there's two ideas, so I'll post both and get you guys to choose which one you'd most likely prefer to roleplay in. If you aren't going to be in the roleplay, I don't particularly care about your opinion.

One idea is that a group of teenagers (actually, 8/9 to 18/19) who have survived the initial radioactive nuclear blast and have fled to Mary King's Close in Edinburgh (an underground attraction where Edinburghians of old used dwell in the 17th century) where they are currently living out the rest of their days. We would begin the roleplay as soon as the warning is broadcast. More info can be given if requested so.

My other idea is that it is 100 years after the war and people are getting used to life in Mary King's Close. The tradition for the dwellers is that once someone reaches the age of 21, they must leave the Close, never to return. The roleplay would follow the 5th or 6th generation of kids (I'm tired and too lazy to do basic logic). More info can be given if requested so.

Very few firearm's as they are quite uncommon here in Scotland, and remember, we'd be kids, not fucking super-mutants.

Both idea's will revolve around the trials and tribulations of this group more than the violence, but I will guarantee that there will be enough violence.

As the group consists of kids, there will be brawls, enemies, lovers and romance, as there is in a typical high school. Don't be afraid to develop a side plot with another character, but I will make sure that it won't subtract from the story.

If I had to rate this, it would be about a 15 for Strong Violence, Strong Language, Injury Detail, Possible Gore and Sexual References (kissing etc).

IF ANYONE WANTS ANYMORE DETAIL OR INFORMATION, PLEASE PM ME OR POST HERE. I WON'T HAVE YOU GUYS WONDERING IN SILENCE.

This sounds interesting, and it doesn't hurt that I'm a huge fan of Metro 2033.

Haha :P Well, it's good to have you on board (?). If you know of anyone who might be interested, let them know I think I'm going to aim for about 6/7/8 people, something like that.

I'd have been happy to oblige if I actually had any connections. I haven't actually RP'ed yet, as was probably evident from my number of posts.

this is the year where hope fails you the test subects run the experiments and the bastard you know is the hero you hate but anything is possible if we try there's no reason there's no lesson no time like the present so what have you got to lose what have you got to lose except your soul.

I could see getting into either of those ideas, though I'll confess here and now that I'm not particularly familiar with either of the fandoms you mentioned. On the other hand, I'm plenty familiar with the basic post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland thing.
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.

I get the feeling that the title was more like shorthand for what he wrote in the description. I don't think you really have to be familiar with either work. Of course I'm not him, so I could be wrong.

So a fallout vault oriented post-apocalyptic scenario, can't say I haven't been familiar with that for a decade. But yeah, humor aside this sounds like something that can be interesting, of course I'd sit and see where an OOC of world information and IC goes before deciding but you can say you have my curiosity.
