I want to have that superpower! COME TO ME BAZOOKA-ARMED PENGUINS.
The Story
Character Sheets
Interest Check
You are a common village peasant in the small town of Gluten:
Gluten is beside the Giblet River, which flows through Syphilis. (Names may sound familiar.)
You have heard rumors:
Emphysema has a power-hungry and greedy king, who has been taxing his people into poverty and hiring brutish tax collectors who take even more than the king demands.
Malaria has been terrorized by a ferocious monster.
Varicella is in the midst of a civil war.
You get little news from the isolated kingdom of Kwashiorkor, but all this matters little to you, for it is all a mere peasant can do to keep the weeds out of your garden. It seems like every day you pull them, and every day there are more than the day before.
Then one day...
BOOM! Cosmic radiation blast and everyone has superpowers!
Gluten has a parson, a blacksmith, a stable-hand, a tailor, a shopkeeper, a barber, a baker, a butcher, some farmers, and a passing stranger. All but the stranger know each other. All were hit by the blast. It may have killed some, but the survivors now have incredible powers and can choose to help someone in need of it...or just become a violent madman if they feel like it.
Rules
1. Don't try to control another person's character, including deciding how they react to something.
2. No one-liners. If you plan to have a conversation that's just "Nu-uh!" "U-huh!" take it to pms and post the whole conversation in one post when you finish.
3. Use good grammar. Spelling errors are forgivable as long as you don't make a habit of them. And I understand that typos happen and you may accidentally spell "sneezed" as "achoowed." But don't misplace apostrophes. "Its" is possessive and "it's" means "it is." If it's not "its," an apostrophe makes it possessive.
4. Stay in-character. This is a medieval-fantasy setting, but it's more medieval than fantasy. The baker will not be serving pizza and the blacksmith will not be passing out guns.
5. There is a thread for character sheets, a thread for the story, and a thread for casual chatting and discussing the story (this one). I don't want to see the threads used for the wrong purpose.
6. If nobody has said something about a certain scene, feel free to fill in the details. But the narrator might come in and reveal that you've been hallucinating. If you don't want to get that sort of reputation, don't claim to see penguins armed with bazookas jumping out of the trees.
7. Your superpower may nullify a rule. If so, congratulations. You're special.
I want to have that superpower! COME TO ME BAZOOKA-ARMED PENGUINS.

"You still understand nothing. I have confessed my despair, wind. You win the game. You win every game. But I will march on, into your icy breath, because that's what soldiers do."

Many thanks to the amazing Lillian Thorne
I will reveal peoples' powers via pm after their first post in the IC.
I don't want to put up the IC until Vorpe, Wolverbells, and Vocalia have finished their character sheets.
I got your PM, AAB, but sadly I won't be able to join you. I have an Interest Check of my own I've been creating the OOC for over a week for and another batch of posts due to quite a few other threads. I'm also quite a slow RPer because I never get any time to myself and I simply can't keep up with an Interest Check that goes to OOC and characters for it in around a day. I can't keep up.
Sorry, but I give you all my best regards.
Starting February and lasting a few months I'll be doing camp guard, so I'll be on and off sporadically. Fair warning.

As another shameless plug, here's my newest Advanced RP: Operation Golden Thread, a futuristic military RP.
Alright, Lance.
I almost was in one of your roleplays once.

Who wants a wacky duel in this roleplay?
I realized my other attempts at GMing roleplays were too serious. So I'm getting kinda wild with this one...starting with names.
I also have an invincible wide-brimmed red hat with a big plume for the character of the first person to notice something. (It's in the first post.)
I remember that one. It fell apart because of events not-so-dissimilar to the ones I'm in right now. Namely working my knuckles to the bone. If you liked the idea, you can go ahead and use it if you so desire. You can even take the name. I still think it could have been interesting, but I just don't have the time to sink in to any personal projects at the moment, let alone starting more.

A collection of GIFS from my favourite Films
Okay...that picture is creepy. And it's on the first page. Would you be kind enough to put it in a hider so people aren't creeped out every time they click on the OOC?

He originally had a baby picture and the baby had blue eyes. It was a hassle, but I got him to change to that.
I don't think he's very good with keywords and most of the pictures looked too modern.
I'll have the IC ready to go up as soon as those three missing character sheets are done.
I know I've stressed some of the medieval aspects of this, but some parts are unrealistic and therefore attributed to the "fantasy" part. For example, having such a small village with all these occupations and not making half of you be farmers. Also, I don't think they had general stores in the middle ages. So this one will be sort of colonial. It might sell flour, cloth, or even licorice.
