    The City Below OOC

    There's always a man. There's always a lighthouse. There's always a city.

Welcome to Tarnhari, nestled in the bedrock deep beneath South America.

The year is 1982, but only on the outside. Inside, it is 2382.

The city was founded in the aftermath of Aktion T4, a Nazi eugenics programme. Scientists from the Aktion, led by Reichsleiter Karl Bauer and Dr. Augustine Clemens, defected from Germany following the cessation of the Aktion in 1941. Dozens of like-minded eugenicists from the scientific communities of Europe and America gathered together, fearing the worst outcomes of the war. They resolved to create a hidden society that would be protected from the war's fallout, where the best and the brightest could live and pursue the higher studies.

Science. Industry. Theosophy. The business of making a better human.

Tarnhari's current location was not chosen idly. One of Tarnhari's founders, Dr. Waylon McCallan, identified a pocket of 'unusual energetic activity' north of Falkland Sound, along the Patagonian shelf. It was here, deep in the bedrock, that he set up his research facility to study that exotic energy; this research station was the seed from which Tarnhari grew. Its people drew on that energy, little knowing that they were isolating themselves not just geographically. The city has been constructed within a kind of 'time bubble'; time passes much quicker within than outside.

It is 1982. The Falklands have been invaded by Argentina. The United Kingdom has responded with a counter-invasion. After a naval battle sank the ARA Rio De La Palta and the HMS Dextrous, some of the survivors washed up on a lighthouse that wasn't on any maps. With the weather worsening and their supplies limited, the enemy soldiers choose to temporarily put off their hostilities and take shelter within the lighthouse.

Leading them down to Tarnhari below, and the things that dwell within.

Sorry guys, but both of these just need more work before they're going to be accepted. I'll need at least a paragraph for bio and personality.

Also, Missy: "Height: 75"? Weight: 135? What unit of measurements are you using for him?

    Name: Mikael (XXXXXXX)

    Age: XX

    Gender: Male

Rank: Royal Navy Police - Regulator

Personality: Quiet. Sarcastic. Loyal. These three words make up what it is for Mikael to be himself. His career allows him to operate at a level where personal opinions do not matter. While he himself is very opinionated, his chosen line of work restrains him. As a regulator, it is his job to to make sure everyone is acting within accordance. This sense of order brings peace to an otherwise chaotic mind. While his quiet demeanor portrays someone who is calm, his occasional sarcastic remarks offer brief insight into what he's really thinking. However, he plays them off to just be jokes.

    Equipment:[/B]

    1. Combat Knife

    2. Wrist watch.

    3. Canteen.

    4. A singular bandage.

    5. Binoculars.

Biography: Mikael went through much of his younger years not knowing what to do with himself. He slid by in school just to get out and then worked tirelessly on the rest of his years before reaching adulthood. A work ethic had been instilled into him by his father and he was ever grateful for it. Working at a restaurant as a pair of hands didn't enthrall him all that much and by his twentieth birthday, he had enough. The job provided a working experience, but he wanted more. The Royal Navy looked to be up his alley, providing a challenge to a life that he felt was regularly boring. The choice proved to work in his favor, sharpening his young mind and body into a man fit to serve his country. The training was enough to keep him occupied for some time and the friends he had made sure there was never a dull moment. Mikael never saw any real kind of fighting until the Falklands invasion. It might prove to be his last view of battle. Dazed and confused, Mikael suddenly found himself face to face with the enemy in uncertain conditions.
"We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." - Fight Club
