DC - New Heroes [Not a Young Justice Clone]

Though I 'did' get the idea while watching young justice XD


There is no pre-made plot to this RP, nor requirements on resembling a pre-existing DC Characters, you could even base them off of marvel characters like the hulk or ironman, though obviously don't just carbon copy them XD

Also as a note, I am perfectly willing to accept someone taking an already canon character, and giving them a reason to leave the justice league to join our little group, as long as your convincing =P I mean, you'd have a hard damn time trying to get someone like batman to have a good reason XD though, someone like 'static' would have a better chance of being believable, or another character from that setting.


Simply put, Here's my idea for this RP:

Everyone knows of the justice league, even the branched off collections of their side-kicks who formed their own teams, but it seems like their all you ever hear about, you never hear about other super powered beings forming alliances with eachother 'for the greater good' or to further eachother's goals and the like, It always seems that 'new heroes' are obsessed with becoming part of the league, Well, here's your chance to do something else.

This would be the story of a group of young people who form 'their own' team, whatever the reasons of each member, someone may have been wronged by evil in the past and seek to do good, another may simply desire to out-shine an idolized hero such as batman or superman, yet another may simply want to make life 'exciting' by picking fights with badguys.



Essentially, this is the type of RP where 'everyone' is a GM together with everyone else, we will all play a part in building this story from the ground up, As our characters of course, Choosing a location for a hide-out, debating over a name for our group, deciding on missions to under-take, how to fund our little 'band of heroes', whether or not to avoid the radar of the Justice League, and so on.

Your CSes will be of your own design and making, you can even be terribly vague in providing information, however, you will be expected to keep it up to date as things are revealed IC. And If you don't feel like doing that, then you can use the Skeletal Template of someone else's CS.

I have no real requirements for this other than being able to differentiate between a 'real post' and a 'one liner full of fluff that really says 'nothing' in the end'. I'm understanding in some situations that may not leave much room for 'sizeable detail posting', such as pure conversations and the like, though for those, we could always collaborate in things such as Sync.in.

The only other real requirement, is to be active, I'm patient enough to wait a couple days for a post, but if you can't post because of RL things, or just can't think of something to post, don't be afraid to say it ^.^

You will be 'part' of the RP, rather than just a player along for the ride, your character has as much of a say in the group as everyone else who's a part of it, and as a player, you're as free to suggest things and guide the RP as everyone else is, meaning that I, as the starting GM, will NOT be in absolute control of the RP, and we'll decide as a group on real major events to take place, though, just the beginning, ya know? We don't wanna pre-plan ever moment of the event, that takes some of the fun out of it =P you are just as allowed to unleash a surprise on us as well, as long as you can be smart about it XD no 'suddenly the building explodes' stuff =P there's gotta be a reason for everything.

And of course, We are likely to encounter canon heroes and villains =3 In which case they'll either be NPC'd, or under the control of someone voted to handle it =3 or perhaps, someone invited in to control that particular character for a spell XD

I sort of like the idea of a group of heroes coexisting with the justice league. It would be interesting to post the group's struggle to become popular and to compete for jobs. I'm definitely interested on how an RP of this kind will play out.

I'd say 4 or 5 would be perfect for starting off =3 don't wanna get 'too many' before we get started =3

OH!, I should mention also, there's no requirement to have only 'one' character, though starting off we want to mitigate how many of our own characters start off XD I'll just be putting together an 'organizer' to orchestrate the original meeting between the characters who may well be from allover the world, and beyond is possible as well, and a Main Character That I'll be using in the RP XD

on a side note, Does anyone have ideas they'd prefer for a meeting place?, If not, Then I shall do a browse for something that would be under the radar and unique for a group of people to meet in. =3

I think it'd be sort of neat for the group to start off with their HQ in a slightly run down building, then as they gain more popularity they would eventually upgrade to something more state of the art. But that's just some input from me. It would be like working from the ground up.

Oh, no, i meant a place for them to meet in for discussing the potential future as a group and such xD During this meeting they would be discussing between eachother such things as, Starting HQ location, Team name, and so on. I'm thinking about also including something of a 'practice fight' orchestrated by whoever I come up with for the Organizer, so the team-members can get a general feel for eachother's powers, as well as observe for potentially serious personality clashes. Of course, I don't intend anything to pop up that would get someone kicked out of the team xD but it would be vital observations that may lead to certain future exercises to compensate for team-mate conflicts that could disrupt team cohesion and such XD


Though yeah, for their first 'base', I was imagining something simple and such, something readily convertible into a make-shift base =3 but that's something for the characters themselves to discuss =3

This RP will be a lot of 'making it up as we go', but I do have a fair number of ideas to pop up should things turn stale, slow, or come to a sudden stop =3

I say they meet at a comic convention, in costume. It's the only place they wouldn't stick out... *shrugs* I know it sounds goofy, and it is, I'm just throwing it out there.
