I'll make my Titan tomorrow

Plot
In a world of superheroes and villains, Jump City was fortunate enough to have not dealt with them very much. At least not until recently. A red-clad young man calling himself Star Blazer has appeared and helped stopped several crimes, though nothing major. Just his luck that his appearance seems to have triggered the appearance of a few others with powers, both good and evil, but namely good for now. The new heroes don't seem to interact much, helping each other sometimes when the occasion calls for it, but otherwise sticking to working alone. But when they begin to discover pieces of a sinister plot, they will soon find that coming together may be the only way to properly defend their city.
I know, it's not much of a plot, but this was a bit spur of the moment, so we'll have to create something as we go along.
Rules
- Keep to the standard rules of the site.
- Elements from the actual DCU can be used, but this is also an Elseworld, so don't feel bad about taking a few liberties.
- You can be a villain if you wish, but let's try and fill the Titan slots first.
- Despite Rule Number 2, I'd rather not see any Kryptonians. They tend to be more trouble than they're worth.
- I personally prefer traditional superheroes, but if there's an unorthodox archetype you wanna use and can make it work, then by all means amaze me.

I'll work on mine tonight and have it up sometime tomorrow probably.
You've mentioned your reservations against Kryptonians, but how do you feel about Tamaraneans?
Name: Nathaniel (Nathan) Adams
Alias: Captain Atom
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Human... ish...
Appearance:
Gear: none
Powers: Quantum Field Manipulation (Atom's metal skin is tied into the Quantum Field, which enables him to absorb and manipulate large amounts of energy, for nearly infinite amount of purposes the amount of which he can do is limited solely by his will power and imagination. He can also redirect the energy into Energy blasts. he is able to use his power for:
- Flight (This energy can be used for flight at speeds exceeding 200 MPH)
- Superhuman Strength (His strength is such that he was able to go toe to toe with beings such as Superboy and Cyborg, etc. and hold his own (he can augment his strength with his energy).)
- Energy Absorption (Can absorb most forms of energy.)
- Self-Sustainance (he doesn't need to eat, drink or sleep.)
Metal Body: (His skin is made of a classified metal that is nae-unbreakable material. Although he is still able to feel pain due to the interruption of the electrons flowing along his skin.)
Strengths:
Powers (His powers are enough to take on most enemies)
Weaknesses:
Overconfidence (A little overconfident in his powers, this leads him to be sloppy in a lot of his fights, and leaves himself open for attacks often.
Over absorption (If he absorbs too much energy, he could explode with enough force to level a city the size of Metropolis.)
Inexperience (He is still getting used to this body, as such, he can't put it to peak performance yet.)
Suseptable to Psychic attacks.
Skills:
Skilled Boxer.
Skilled Pilot (As a pilot in the U.S. Airforce, this skill is essential...)
Trained Marksman.
Personality: being a member of the U.S. Airforce, he was has been trained to be disciplined, follow orders and give them when necessary, however, he does have a tendency to try and assume command in times that he believes things are going to hell, this can be useful in some cases, and quite detrimental in others, though, he is quick to back down from a challenge for leadership if his challenger seems more competant than he is.
That being said, he does possess a fun-loving side, and can be quite the prankster in some cases.
Background: Nathaniel Christopher Adam, alias Captain Atom is a United States Air Force officer, born and raised in the Bronx of New York, he was the kid that always stood up to the bullies, he won some fights, he lost some, but he knew he had to take the bad with the Good, he joined the Air Force as soon as he was able (forging some of his papers when he was just 15) and they found out he was a natural, unfortunately, Nathan was been framed for a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to death under the watch of Col. Wade Eiling in 1968. As an alternative to execution, he was invited to participate in a military experiment with little chance of survival, in exchange for a presidential pardon. The experiment involved testing the hull of a crashed alien ship's durability by exploding a super nuclear bomb under it. Adam survived as the metal melted into his body and the excess energy threw him forward in time.
After regaining his cohesive mind, Nathan found himself a man out of his time and in the hands of Eiling, now a general. Everyone had assumed that Nathaniel Adam had died on the day of the experiment, so his presidential pardon was never issued and the current government refused to acknowledge the previous administration's promised pardon. Seizing the opportunity at hand, the government used the outstanding murder/treason charges against Adam to try and blackmail him into being a government-controlled superhero (codenamed Captain Atom), he Refused and promptly escaped custody, fleeing to Britain and making a deal with MI6, the whole affair could make the American Government look quite bad if it came to light and the leash was dropped, he then returned to America to take on the name Captain Atom. He is still a recognized member of MI6, and has been called on by them several times to perform tasks their non-meta agents are unable to perform. His main mission in life, at the moment, is to locate a rogue MI6 Metahuman codenamed, Manchester Black.

my country, a fine country, a country that i would give my life to protect.
Name: Ronny Anders
Alias: Star Blazer
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human (Sort of, he's actually Half-Tamaranean but he doesn't know that. Yet.)
Appearance
Gear: None.
Powers: Solar Sustenance allows Star Blazer to absorb ultraviolet radiation from the sun and use that energy for various purposes, namely flight, super strength, and throwing energy projectiles called Starbolts. While he's yet to really master throwing Starbolts, he CAN project an omnidirectional burst of stored up energy, but it usually only coincides with his anger. Solar Sustenance also allows him to survive in the vacuum of space, meaning he could theoretically fly to the Moon or another planet on his own and without the need of a ship or gear to do it.
Strengths: The fact that Star Blazer can fly and lift cars with ease makes him a rather valuable combatant against the more powerful foes.
Weaknesses: Ronny hasn't quite got a handle on his Starbolts, so using them is, at this point, a mixed bag in terms success versus failure. Sometimes they work, sometimes not.
Skills: Ronny himself studies a bit of martial arts, but is also fairly medically inclined thanks to his upbringing. He knows how to get a computer up and running, but he's certainly not a hacker or tech wiz, either.
Personality: If one were to use a single word to describe Ronny, it would be "confident". Ronny rarely ever doubts himself, and instead was raised to believe that he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. Of course, confidence can also lead to arrogance, which Ronny has also unfortunately shown to have his share of as well. Though that may simply have something to do with his Tamaranean ancestry.
Background: Some 25 years or so ago, the planet of Tamaran in the Vegan system was a prosperous world. It's people were proud, and considered some of the toughest warriors in their part of the universe. Despite their fierceness, they were quite peaceful, opting to build a tropical utopia rather than fight in war. The Tamaraneans were finally forced to fight when a race of slavers called the Citadel attacked Tamaran. Led by their fearless Queen, the Tamaraneans repelled the invasion, but the victory was only temporary. The Tamaraneans were strong, but their peaceful lives resulted in them being ill-equipped to win a longterm war. As such, the planet was eventually sacked and the people captured and sold across the Galaxy into slavery. The Queen actually managed to escape the Citadel, but realized she could not return to her former home, as it now belonged to her people's captors. She fought off her pursuers but couldn't travel far due to injuries suffered from the capture and escape. One of the first hospitable planets she came across was Earth, where she was fortunate enough to be able to pass herself off as one of its people.
On Earth, the injured Queen collapsed in front of the home of a man named Rich Anders. A doctor, Rich took the mysterious woman into his home and treated her wounds, nursing her back to health. As the Queen recovered, she learned the Earth language by making physical contact with the doctor. While she originally planned to only hide on Earth long enough for the Citadel to give up on hunting her down, the Tamaranean found herself becoming quite fond of the human who saved her life. The two eventually fell in love and married, the Queen taking on the human name of Kory Anders, and gave birth to a son, Ronny. When she was pregnant, it was decided that Ronny would be much safer not knowing of his alien ancestry. In fact, Kory herself had decidedly avoided using her powers so that she would not draw the attention of the Citadel. There were complications in the child labor, and so Ronny was born at the cost of his mother's life.
Raised only by his father, Ronny grew up knowing nothing about Tamaran or the Citadel, or that his mother was a Queen. That didn't stop the boy from developing Tamaranean powers. While his father at first forbade the use of the super powers, he caved and allowed Ronny to use them if he wished to, especially since he was about to turn 18 and therefore would no longer have to listen to his dad anymore, anyway, Rich had decided it would be best to just let Ronny be so they would not end up becoming estranged. As for Ronny, he adopted the persona of Star Blazer and protects the city even today, unaware of the true origin of his powers or that they may in fact draw the attention of his mother's old nemesis, the Citadel.

Well fuck, there goes my entire character idea.
Ehh... I'll pull something together I guess.
Okay, one-upping your character a bit Xivilai, how do you feel about a character that is something like a living star?
You know, I'm starting to think there was a pretty good reason for not having teenaged versions of certain characters. Captain Atom seems... well certainly not overpowered obviously, but with abilities that can very easily be abused. Maybe it's the way you worded it, but manipulating an infinite amount of energy for an infinite amount of purposes seems a bit much for a Superhero Team. That probably sounds bad, considering my own character, but the Starbolts are not infinite, they are limited to how much energy is stored from Solar Sustenance. Maybe it's just me, what do some of you others think?
Yeah, he doesn't seem to be on the power level of a Teen Titan.
3 things about captain atom:
1) How can he be a captain at 19?
2) Isnt metalo the name of a superman villain?
3) he isnt as OP as say a green lantern, he has potential to be OP but he is limited to the 5 poweres he listed with room to grow into a true hero later.
