Who have you met that's famous

I did this on Another forum and it was really fun because it was a great conversation starter. So what you do is state a famous person you've met and explain how you met them. Also state if they are an actor, politican, etc.

I'll start

Brandon Routh- Actor. I met Brandon Routh at a 4 of July event in my aunts hometown. He was the grand Marshall of the parade. After the parade the party was at the local park. My aunt went up to talk with him because he was friends with my late cousin. So I went with her and I met him, got our picture taken with him, and I didn't have anything good for him to sign, so I asked him to sign the empty Coca-Cola bottle I was carrying. Still have it, btw.

So now fire away people on who you've met.

I've seen a few different famous folk performing, but I don't think that really counts.

I have said hello to both David Tennant (actor) and Carol Vorderman (game show host), however. The conversations with them didn't extend much further than a greeting, but I don't suppose that doesn't matter all too much. It's still a meeting.

A few years ago, FC Barcelona came to Scotland for a friendly. So whilst we were lost in the middle of Edinburgh, the Barca bus passed while I was decked out in their gear. I got to go on their bus, shook their hands and got their autographs. It was so fucking cool

I've talked with Mike Patton after a Faith No More gig(The Reunion Tour), My cousin was working as a Security Guard at the time, managed to get me backstage. The rest of the band were leaving I believe.

I've greeted Emma Watson too while I was in London. A fleeting conversation at best.

A few state-representitives, a [state] supreme court justice, a few Apollo astronauts, John Kerry, John Kerry's sharpshooter-team as they sat on a grassy knoll, and a few of those nice guys from home-sec.

Political, letters:
Gerald R. Ford (hand-signed, not linotyped), Laura Bush, Dick Cheynne, Donald Rumsfeld, one of our two senators, Dept of the Interior and the Dept of Labor.
-I'm not sure if this other one is a letter of recommendation from the FBI or just a formal acknowledgement that I do stuff when I'm bored.

I don't keep track of actors.

I suppose most of them aren't hugely famous but I have met K'naan, Sam Roberts, and the members of the band Hedley. My friend met Jenna Marbles when she was in California last year; she saw her waiting in a line at Universal Studios.

Not sure if this counts since he's not all that famous, but I have met Uncle Yo, a stand-up comedian who goes to conventions and the majority of his comedy routines are about anime, sci-fi, fandoms and other geeky humor. I went to a convention last year that he was attending, but I missed his show because there was something else going on at the same time that I wanted to see more, but then later in the day I sort of found him just wandering around. We talked for like 20 minutes before I realized I was late for another panel I wanted to see. O.o But yeah he's a pretty cool guy. One of the few otaku types I've met who didn't give me flack (even jokingly) for not being familiar with any of the mainstream animes like Naruto and Bleach. I also hugged him and got a picture with him. I'd post it but I won't bother because I was in cosplay and looked nothing like myself.
