    Take This To Heart

    Reserved for Blazed

    This was definitely a different place for Shayne Wilkinson to be. Her bright blue eyes blinked as she studied the castle's main courtyard where students, old and new, gathered to mix and mingle. It was the start of a new semester at Supernatural Academy, and the traditional welcoming festivities were already underway. Shayne couldn't say she was surprised to see an anomaly of people. Wolves, demons, ghosts, witches, dragons, shapeshifters, some water types hanging out near the edge of the large lake that the Academy was near. It was truly a haven for the supernatural, but Shayne was still unaware as to what to think of it.

    Her platinum locks of hair were down and straight for the day as she walked about the campus in a white, strapless, dress with a denim jacket situated over her upper half. She was new... Apparently the newest, but all she could think about was how the other succubi would react. In her realm, the dream realm, she was the ugliest of all creatures because she was half fire demon, but here she seemed to gain the attention of all sorts of male creatures, and she didn't like that. Had she been to the normal realm before? Yes, plenty of times and she knew her fair share about all of the supernatural races, but that didn't prepare her for the sudden massive amounts of attention.

    She crossed her arms and found a place to sit near a small bonfire being built, and she could tell the teachers building it were having a bit of trouble. "This wood won't light for anything. I've tried spells, dragon's breath, even the elementalists can't light it." the first teacher said and the second sighed.

    "It might not be a good sign." the other said, and Shayne looked to the timber they had piled up for the fire and with a little concentration it ignited and the teachers looked at her. She looked down, but the teachers just gave her a thank you and when they walked away, Shayne stared at the fire, and stayed in her place on the bench nearest it. The fire was warm, comforting, it reminded her of her mother, and all she ever wanted was to be like her mother. She hated being part succubus... It was absolutely annoying.

    -&-

    William wasn't ready for the new semester to start up again, especially with everything going on around the school. With the darker demons, the summoned as he liked to call them, were becoming more and more of a threat to the human world, and with most people looking at him like a black sheep... He just didn't want to deal with it. He ran a hand through his wild brunette hair, and his dull blue eyes looked around. He rather liked his human form now, but he very much disliked how it was so much like his true form. How he burned in any intense light, how religious things affected him, every little thing bothered him. Still, at least he had mastered his shadow manipulation long before he came to this school, and the only reason he was here was to control some of the other aspects of himself. It wasn't that he disliked that fact, but he didn't like that he wasn't always in full control.

    The vampires were pissing him off, royally, though. The headmaster had made some of them amulets to wear so they could be out in sunlight without any side effects. He had a necklace that kept him from burning in too intense of light, but the possibility of him burning up was still there. At least the sun was setting and all he would have to worry about was the fire. With a sigh he leaned against the wall, and he sank into the shadow it produced, taking off across the courtyard, roaming from shadow to shadow. It was how he got around most of the time, hopping shadows. He had seen a few people there that he recognized from classes and others he wasn't too sure he knew, but there was one girl he noted, who had started a fire, and as he hopped the shadows, he noticed the vampires looking at her... Along with a few other males.

    He decided to take some liberty, but when he rose from the shadows, she didn't see him at all it seemed, but he saw what they all did. Very few would have been immune to this kind of allure, but being an older than time itself demon had it's perks. "Watch yourself there, beautiful." he said, and she turned to him, her bright blue eyes piercing his. "Not everyone sees past it. Just watch yourself." He sank back into the shadow, feeling rather hot near her, and he bounded off to a more shadowed area, watching from afar before he spotted someone he was sure he recognized. A beautiful brunette girl, and he rose from the shadows and walked over to her. "Now, why do you look familiar?" he asked her.

    [sorry it sucks.]

    “So who you gonna pray on today?” joked Cain’s best buddy and fellow vampire as they leaned along the wall of the school sticking to the shadows to cool off from the sun for a bit. Even with these still little pendants vampires didn’t like the sun, it was too hot, hurt your eyes like a bitch and felt like you were going to burn even if you knew you weren’t. The paranoia of that would never really go away, not matter how much vampires at this school went out and about during the day. So Cain let his wide and muscular shoulders pull up for a moment before dropping back down.

    His hazel eyes of a mixture of blue and brown scanned along the open field. A few other vampires bunching up in a few different shaded pieces well everyone else went about doing their thing. Today was one of Cain’s favorite days because it was the easiest to find a girl willing to do pretty much anything. Doing this anything usually met letting him drink well they had sex. Yes he was the super play boy of the school and yet he was still able to sweep almost all the girls off their feet. “I could always go for the easy hotties but, we usually get one newbie for me to try out.” He said with a soft grin and a chuckle making his friend Vance laugh as well.

    “At least the sun is finally starting to go down, mingling will be a lot easier and not just with other vampires. I’m feeling like trying some fairy again tonight if you ask me.” Vance commented before pushing off the wall and walking back into the dimming sunlight, making Cain smirk slightly, as from the corner of his eye he saw Madelyn and a group of her friends.

    “Maddie-kins!” He called out giving her his silly little pet names, which he did for almost every girl. The Asian girl looked over along with all her friends and gave Cain a small smile before wondering over with the group of girls. “Have a good break, seemed to bring a new glow to you though, along with you girls. Tanning again?” He grinned making a few giggle and Madelyn laughed softly.

    “Cain, nice to see you too, why don’t you take them over to the bond fire, I forgot something in my room.” She said softly, making Cain cruse inside. Madelyn Swiminer, the most human out of all the beings at the school. Smelled wonders and made his mouth water, but she always was able to wiggle out of his tricks and moves. She was a smart one, but missing out on didn’t really surprise him so, he looped his arms around a witch and a demon and started to walk the group towards the fire.

    Feeling the hot sun come down on him, he tried not to let his face twist slightly, but carried on the pointless flirtation as the sun fell lower and lower in the sky. Once the fire was lit and most of the student had made their way to the fire, Cain noticed the new girl. He took in a deep breath, trying to tell what she was, and knew she was a mix breed easily. One Vance stepped forward to make his move, when shadow freak stepped. It set and uneasy tone on the group all around. However, the freak didn’t stick around long, which opened up Cain’s chance to beat Vance to the new girl, who clearly was smoking.

    So he plopped right next to her, giving her one of his greatest smiles, the fangs pushing out just over his bottom lip. “What’s a beauty like you doing sitting all by herself?” He asked before leaning forward and letting his hand come forward. “Cain Risto, I’m guessing you’re a transfer student?” He asked. Cheesy ways of breaking the ice with these high school girls was like peanut butter and jelly.

    ~~~
    After finally getting a chance to ditch her friends Madelyn made her way quickly back up to her room, and closed the door behind it. Closing her eyes she leaned along the door letting out slow calming breaths. Soon enough she was sitting on the floor, her knees coming up to press to her chest, her forehead laying on the top of her knees. “Get a grip.” She hissed softly at herself. Her master without a name had been pushing pass the governments spells lately. His voice would cut in and out of her mind. It almost felt at times that she was starting to lose it.
    “Ma-Ma- ly-“ She gripped her straight long black hair and closed her eyes.
    “Go away, go away.” She hushed softly almost out of breath. For a good long hour she sat in her room hushing the cut off voice before it finally fell quiet. Slowly she looked up her vision slightly spotted for a moment before she leaned her head back on the door. Having done it a little too fast she bumped it slightly, letting off a soft echo as she mumbled “ow.” Well reaching up to rub the back of her head. Sighing softly she pushed herself off the ground and started to brush her hands along her long black and red dress. It went just pass her knees before trailing back lower behind her legs almost touching the ground. The upper part of the dress came up to tie with two thin strings behind her neck. She herself would have liked something not so showy, but her friends wanted her to wear something even more. . . exposed. This was the middle ground. It was a cute dress, but Madelyn would rather just mix in with everyone then stand out too much.
    Walking over to the mirror in her room she touched up her make-up before heading back down the empty hallways of the school. Her heels clicking along behind her, sending the echoes through the school. As she started to leave the school, carefully walking down the stairs, watching her feet as she did, she gripped the lower part of her dress as if she was going to step on it. As her foot touched the level ground she sighed softly feeling happy she didn’t trip and die. She was just about to head over towards the bond fire when a voice sent her body into a tense jump. Her heart was racing a mile a minute as she clutched her chest and glanced behind her. Shadow freak as most people called him, she couldn’t really remember his name well, but she knew from just looking at him or any demon for that matter that they were a demon.
    Being a demonic witch she can see a demon’s soul, right in the middle of their chest will be a small dot of any colour, that’s how she could tell what kind of demon they were. This boy happened to have the same colour as her master had, putting her more on edge around him then the other demons she had fakely befriended. She masked the fear she had deep inside her soul and turned towards the boy, her hands lacing together in front of her body. “Ah, hello.” She said her mouth opening then closing as she struggled to place his name. She could remember his last name but not his first. The teachers were always calling him Mr. Erikson in a rather angry tone. “Maybe. . . we’ve had a class together or something?” She said not really remember which of the mix classes she had to take that he was also in. Her friends had kind of effected her kind nature by pulling her away and making her ignore anyone who was an outsider. Being the push-over she was. Although deep down, Madelyn thought that maybe he knew her, because she was only three of the demonic witches at the school, and the newest out of all of them.
    This being as awkward as most conversations with people she didn’t usually talk to she umed softly before asking. “So, ah, going to their fire?” She asked softly, hoping she didn’t sound like a bumbling idiot. Though she had a feeling if she walked up with this demon she would get some very odd looks. They were after all on very different ends of the social food chain.
    The sun was setting. Good. Shayne liked night time, it was generally calmer and cooler, but cold air never affected her. The fire within often burned others who touched her, and it was something she had learned to control while she had stayed with her mother a few years back. Now it was only if she willed it to burn would it. A voice startled her thoughts and she looked to him. He was attractive, and with what he said, she rose a brow, but her thoughts were interrupted at the addition of a rather handsome blond. He spoke to her so carefree, so naturally that it was odd. He wasn't an Incubus, she knew that much, the Incubi and Succubi were watching from the other side of the fire and when she looked around to see a bunch of guys sitting around her, looking almost dejected when the first, Cain Risto, spoke... She knew what they were talking about.
    "Oh, um... Not really used to being in crowds. Believe me, where I'm from, I'm very different." she spoke, and when he offered his hand to her, she rose a brow. "Shayne Wilkinson. I would shake your hand, but to be honest that seems a little formal." she commented, and it was in his demeanor that she pieced it together. A vampire. That would also explain why some of the group had come over when the sun got lower. "But, is it that obvious that I'm new? I was kind of hoping not to draw a lot of attention."
    "Babe, with a pretty face like yours, that's almost impossible." someone who slid in on her other side commented. "Daniel Cross, Fire Drake. You are?"
    "Shayne Wilkinson... Rather not say. But it's kind of rude to interrupt another person's conversation. Not to mention eavesdropping." she commented, and he chuckled as she went to turn her head back to speak with Cain, but Daniel grabbed her jaw.
    "He just wants to drink your blood and take you for a spin." he commented, and Shayne focused her energy and he pulled his hand away. "Ow..."
    "Don't touch me." she warned before sighing. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I would like to try to have a half-way normal conversation. I don't know how things work in this realm entirely, but I know you generally don't speak unless spoken to in my realm." she quipped, turning back to Cain with a slight smile. "Sorry about that, I'm really not used to attention like this."
    Perhaps he'd be different than what the guy said, Shayne liked to figure things out for herself. She would have prided herself in her judge of character, but that wasn't necessarily her best area. Her best area was feeding and learning, but she had fed before she arrived at the school, so she wouldn't need to for a little bit. Perhaps the next day, and the headmaster had a set regimen for how the types that fed on things other than food were to eat.
    -&-
    William looked at the girl, quite intently as she spoke. She was beautiful in an odd sort of way. Something about her drew him to her, and seeing how she looked at his chest it pieced together. She was one of the few demonic witches. The others he knew well, and the others were scared shitless of him, but this one still seemed composed. He couldn't really blame them for being afraid of him though. The summoned types were directly linked in with his type of demon. Demons of Darkness. Will was a different sort of their kind, one of the last remaining Shadow demons who could roam. The others had been banished to live with the summoned and most of them corrupted and turned into one of the summoned. A good friend of his had before, and it was part of the reason why he was a loner. The fewer witches and mages he pissed off, the better.
    He thought on her question. "I might mosey over there in a bit, better get over there before your friends notice though." he said, giving a quick wave before he sunk into his own shadow and took off into other shadows, his just disappearing as he moved from shadow to shadow. The girl was odd, but he couldn't say she didn't pique him. He soon rose out of the shadowed again, and leaned on a wall near the fire before he noticed some of the interactions. The succubi and incubi were in their own little group, a few other girls drooling over the Incubi, but there was an odd lacking of male attention. He then noticed it was all around the new girl and the others seemed jealous.
    They would never compare to that one's allure. Half fire demon, he knew, and she was apparently a succubus as well. Often times mixed breeds blended well together, but this one did not. With a sigh, he walked over to the fire and sat down on a bench a little bit away from it where a few guys came over and laughed. "Look here. It's the Shadow Freak." one teased, and William shrugged a bit.
    "At least I know where I stand and I'm not trying to go for someone way out of my league." he commented and one of them, Daniel, shoved him, but William was quick and sunk down into his shadow and appeared behind Daniel just as he threw a punch.
    "Hey!" a very odd voice came, and William looked to see the new girl, and Daniel stopped. "Seriously. Stop that, be nice. Some of us are trying to have conversations." she hissed, the fire growing slightly with her words, but when she turned back it returned to normal size. William couldn't help but to smile at that. Someone actually stuck up for him, but seeing who she was talking to made him want to walk over and pull Cain away. No girl needed to be played like he played them.
    With a sigh he sat back down and a few other demon types sat with him, and he just watched the fire a bit, though keeping a safe distance.
    Cain couldn’t help but raise a gold eyebrow as the girl spoke. She was a beauty, with that blond flowing hair, bright blue eyes, such fair skin. Any man alive would be stupid not to want to just snatch her away and keep her forever. She was total trophy wife martial- which means she is most likely a succubus. An even easier target for him to have. They have that whole sexual thing going on, which is just a bonus for him, so long as she doesn’t feed too much off him and returns the favor. She tongue came up out of habit and ran along his teeth from fang point to fang point. “Clearly these guys are missing out on the view.” He hushed at her with a small wink.
    When she rejected his hand, he let his hazel eyes flicker towards it, and let it fall behind him almost rather put off by that. Maybe she didn’t have control of her powers and his sexiness would make her jump him? That was really the only reason he could think of. But either way he gave her a sleazy smile. “I could always take a kiss instead.” He teased softly with a soft chuck as the topic moved away from breaking the ice- he was in. He gave that usual laid-back shrug of his and smiled at her. “easy to spot anyone knew, even more so the girls like you-“ Before he could say another word Daniel cut in.
    Cain’s jaw snapped shut with a soft click of his fangs on his lower teeth as her eyes hardened towards the other man. He quickly replaced that look of pure anger- vampires were rather territorial when ‘hunting’, this is why Cain beating Vance didn’t bring Vance trailing in after. However, new girl’s respond made Cain burst into a roar of laughter, getting a rather bitter response from Daniel. “Sorry Shayne, but that was fanatic. You shot him down amazingly well. Most new girls wouldn’t know what to do when getting a surprise attack like that. Good on ya.” He grinned, letting his hands link together, his elbows resting on his knees as he watched the fire carefully.
    But that relaxed move quickly shifted as the two different top dogs of different creatures faced off. Her eyes narrowed, a flashed of red clouding his wonderful eyes. Only he heard the other boy complain without anyone around doing anything. He couldn’t help but let his eyes wonder to a few of his friends who either shrugged or weren’t paying attention. Clearly this girl’s hiding some power that others of her kind don’t seem to have. She was one to be able to take care of herself, maybe that would make this little game all the more interesting.
    Raising a slight eyebrow at her, the glow of the fire tinting his pale complexion. “Mind me asking what you did to make play boy over there complain? I know I’ve gotten a few good punches on him before, but never has he said ow, I’m rather impressed.” He said letting the grin roll over his lips exposing his wonderfully sharp fangs again. Hopefully, she wasn’t too put off by the whole Daniel thing, after all he had hit the nail right on the head. After all, everyone knew what he was always after. The boy who, never, ever dated.
    “So, what made you come to this school?” He asked softly, once again shifting his position, feeling a good number of eyes just waiting for their moment to slip in and steal the new sexy girl on campus.
    ~~~~
    Madelyn let her eyes blink a few times, slightly confused. That was. .. well very weird. He just took off after engaging her. That had really never happened to her before. This didn’t stop her from quickly looking around, letting her eyes take in everything around her. Black souls were darkness, shadows. She didn’t know all the abilities of demons, but she knew they could shadow jump, she had seen it herself when. . . well she lost her soul. Shiver slightly at the thought, the fear rolling up into her eyes she let out a sigh. Reaching her long slightly tanned fingers into her hair she started off towards the fire.

    Her friends bugged her about where she had taken off to for so long, but she came up with the usual reason, ‘witch stuff’ with a small wink. Not many people understood or knew much about demonic witches since they were rather rare, so she had lot of wiggle room in that kind of thing. If she had told anyone about the issues of being a demonic witch, they would well. . . not understand and most likely outcast her. After all it was like being insane at times. She had a feeling she would be okay for a while, as the group sipped away at glasses of punch and well other things. Madelyn mostly hung out with witches, fairies, and people who controlled different elements since they were on the rather safer side, but being a part of that popular group and looking as she did, she had to deal with other types of creatures. It was lucky she had learned to adopt a few years ago.

    This year’s mingling went as it usually did, a new girl getting the show of her life, well the rest watched and waited to see who got in her pants. Madelyn remembered well that day when she was the victim, however, her rather paranoid fear got her out of it. She was saved by an older demonic witch who say the signs and quickly took her away to a group of water sprites and fairies. After about a year, she slowly started to be able to deal with the different kinds of creatures, demons though. .. she hated dealing with. She did rather well at hiding how bad she was with them, but that was just from having to always be acting in the world she lived in. Be yourself and get eaten alive. .. well not literally but, socially.

    She let her eyes watch the new girl for a bit, she really was pretty, but there was something about her that was off. Almost fuzzy, she tried to focus harder, and it made her head hurt a little. So she let her eyes trail over to find the only male demonic warlock in the school. “I’ll be right back.” She said to her friends before pointing over to Jack, they nodded thinking nothing of it. She was making her way when she noticed that dark feeling again. Her hairs standing on end as she spotted Shadow Freak, she really needed a better name for him. It seemed though that Daniel had spotted him too.

    She felt her eyes flicker down. Madelyn hated the bullying that went on the school, but she never had the guts to stand up to anyone. She felt somewhat bad for the demon, but at the same time, her inside dark soul was screaming for victory. She felt the heat from the fire rise quickly, her eyes quickly glancing back up at the fire to notice the new girl, the blur from before gone as she noticed the mixture of red and orange inside her chest. She stopped in her tracks and frowned, staring at the girl as the blur came back. “That is kinda weird.” She mumbled maybe thinking she was just losing it again. She brought up her hands and rubbed her eyes slightly, thinking maybe that was the issue, but clearly it wasn’t. She glanced over at Jack again, who too now seemed to be looking at the new girl with pretty much the same expression she had. He glanced up at her feeling her looking and gave a shrug as to what he was not seeing. Unlike Madelyn though, it didn’t seem to bug him much. Her jaw set slightly, her eyes trailing back down to the demon by the fire. . . could she ask him? He had a bit of a cocky smile on his face, so maybe he knew. “You’re gonna pay for this later Maddie.” She mumbled to herself as felt a few eyes watch her as she went up to the shadow demon.

    However, first she would need to wiggle her way into an answer. Time to play some cheese. “If you were trying to pick me up, why did you disappear so fast?” She asked softly, forcing a smile onto her lips, her eyes closing to hide the inner panic she was feeling. She was really stupid, for doing this for many reason, but it totally went against her nature. “Is it okay if I sit with you? May keep other jerks from getting to close for a while?” She asked softly, not really sure how to interact with a demon. . . let alone an outcast.

    Shayne allowed herself to turn a bit, to face Cain in a more comfortable position. One leg was resting up over the bench, as if she were going to sit Indian style, but with one leg hanging down so her foot could touch the ground. She always felt the need to face those she was speaking to, it was just something she was taught by her mother. That way the person knew that they were being addressed without saying their name. She chuckled a bit at his comment about a kiss though, "Might have to take a rain check on that kiss, tiger. I like to know a little more than just someone's name, and their race." she said, nodding to his fangs, "Before they get a legitimate kiss out of me." she said just before the drama with Daniel ensued.

    He asked what she had done to get him to say ow, and that caused her to turn her head slightly and look to Daniel before she looked back to Cain. "It's a gift. I have to have some sort of upper hand." she answered, vaguely. She wouldn't tell him exactly what had happened, she didn't need everyone knowing exactly what she was right now, but she knew that if her demon form ever reared it's rather ugly head, then they would definitely know. Hence why she was trying to keep her emotions in check. However, seeing Daniel go pick on a man, who obviously was either really quick or talented, Shayne couldn't take it. She had been the victim of endless abuse in the dream realm, and seeing it was enough for her, so she intervened, the fire's appearance and heat suddenly raising and getting a bit larger.

    However, when she turned back to Cain, the heat came down, as did the size of the flame. She just wanted to have a conversation where not everything around her was bothering her, nor did she want to be stared at as rudely as she was right now. Cain's final question caused her to shrug. "My father made me come here. Something to do with not having full control over my powers." she answered him, and soon one of the succubi walked over.

    "Why would you guys even bother with someone as ugly as she is?" she asked and Shayne rolled her eyes. "Cain, honey, you're barking up the wrong tree if you're wanting a good time. You know you could always come bark up mine." she winked to him.

    "I'm fucking done." Shayne said, and she promptly got up, and went to walk away. "I'm sorry Cain. Maybe we'll be able to get to know each other better some other time."

    "Like you'd want to know her. She's a hybrid. A freak all her own." the succubus said, and soon William's voice came.

    "Just because you'll never compare to her beauty doesn't mean you have to get onto her. Besides, aren't all things that are quote-unquote freaky the best things to hang onto?" he pointed out, and Shayne looked over to him, and he gave her a small smile and the further she walked away from the fire, the more she missed it's warmth. The more she wanted to go back to it, but instead she headed inside, and decided that exploring the inside would be a little bit better than dealing with everything going on outside.

    -&-

    William watched the fire. It was so obvious to him, but that had to be because of how old and what he was. He always knew something about demons, and fire demons and shadow demons, though two completely different types of demon, got along a lot better than people expected. When the girl from earlier walked over to him though, he gave her a gentle smile. "Didn't mean to come off like that, lovely, just don't like sticking in one place for too long. Someone has to go around causing chaos, you know?" he joked lightly, but her question caused him to shrug. "Sit here if you want, don't if you want. It's not up to me where you sit and who you sit by, but if it's to keep jerks away, I'm up for it. Though they'll all have something coming to them later on." he gave a wicked grin with that, but soon he found himself watching the fire again, and when a succubus walked over and began ranting on to the new girl... He had to stand up for her, she had for him.

    They met eyes for a moment, and he just gave her a gentle smile, and when she disappeared he noticed how the fire almost immediately began lacking the heat it had when she was around. He was glad to stand up for someone who did for him, but most people shouldn't expect that out of him a lot, and soon the succubus came over and crossed her arms, looking at him. "What was that about? Are you and the freak hybrid in cahoots?"

    "No." William answered, and he allowed his hands to rest a bit behind him, and he tapped his fingers a bit before his hand slipped into the shadows as he talked. "However, I can tell when someone is different, and being different is something to hold onto. All of you pure succubi are same. All you want is to make a man go crazy and suck out his soul. That one is just another creature trapped in a succubus' body. It makes her beautiful in ways you'll never be." he said and soon he saw the shadow creeping up her leg and he saw it spill into her ear. Now for the real fun to begin. Succubi and Incubi were a demonic breed, but they were not actual demons... They just looked different in true form.

    He managed to speak to this one's true self and suddenly she was ripping out of her skin and she ran off and William looked to the girl beside him as his hand came up and he flexed it a bit. "My name's William. What's yours?" he asked her.

    [sorry this isn't the greatest]

    Giving her a charming grin at her answer as to why to come to the school. No transfer after all, which was very interesting to him. “Well it shouldn’t be-“ He was cute off as some girl of the succubi race made their way over. What was with everyone jumping in and killing the mood he kept setting. How was a man to wiggle his way into a girls heart to later crush it? Only, what happened next, was a huge turn in mood, one that no man could fix. Catfight words started to fly, and Cain almost felt a little thrown off. It wasn’t like succubi to get jealous when they too were known for sleeping around themselves.

    He was at a loss for words as the two went at her, he was flattered about the easy chance he had with Rachel, but that made things no fun on the best day to get laid by someone new. His eyes watched the new girl slip away towards the school, when freak boy spoke up, making his eyes flutter from his pray as he glanced at the freak. What he said had some meaning, but in a bit of a different way for the play boy who loved the freaky ones.

    Placing his hands on his knees and pushing up as the heat from the fire went down he jumped easily over the bench and landed in front of Rachel. “Lovely.” He hushed softly before letting his fingers trail longer her face before cupping her chine and gripping it a little hard, his soft eyes hardened. “Don’t you know better than to miss with a vampire’s goal?” He hissed at her before letting go and stalking off after Shayne. For some reason, he couldn’t just give her up that easily. If she had totally brushed him off, then fine, but she left that hanging and he could never leave anything unfinished. It would drive him up the wall.

    As he quickly made his way after the new girl feeling the night take over his very soul. It felt so nice, so alive. His mind ran back to what Rachel had said, half-breed, they seemed very interesting, not as common as pure beings. It had been a while since he had deal with one, it would explain a few things about their short time speaking. “Shayne!” He called out, finally bring himself up to a light human speed jog he came up beside her. “Sorry about that, Rachel and I had a thing once, she has a bit of, well an attachment issue.” He somewhat lied. Pushing himself in front of her, he wanted to stop her in her tracks before she could press any farther. “I just want you to know that you are amazingly beautiful, and being only have of a race would never change that.” He gave a soft smile. “How about a start over without being the center of attention?” He asked softly, looking her right in the eyes, setting his compulsion on her slightly to want to interact with him.

    “My name is Cain Risto, born Italian vampire.” He hushed at her before setting his one hand on his chest and taking a small bow and then straightening himself up again. “It would be a please and an honor to get to know you.” Being born in the 1400’s had its perks.

    ~~~
    Madelyn felt a slight twist of annoyance at the shadow boy from earlier as he played with his words. He had to try in all her power not to roll her eyes at him, but her finger did come to tap lightly on the red plastic cup, making a soft click from her nail. However, in the end she did take a sit beside him. Letting her one hand run along behind her to bring the dress she was wearing under her body. Without thought she then brought her hand up and did a slight hair flip. It was really only to get the hair off her side of her face so she could talk a little better. Just as she turned to look at him, that wick comment and grin came over his lips. She felt her body slightly tense as she gripped the cup, her eyes unable to stop the fear that flashed in them.
    Her heart pounded a little harder, but it was nothing notable. She glanced back at her group of friends and saw them staring at her oddly. She held up her finger, her usually signal letting them know that she had something to do. For Madelyn it was usually important, so even with a slight confusion in their eyes they went to turn away. Just as Madelyn was about try and get the information out of the boy that she wanted, some catty talk broke out. Rachel, the girl who slept around the most was talking it out on the new girl. It was uncalled for and unlike her, but what she said last made Madelyn’s eyes go slightly wide. Hybrid? Her eyes focused on the new girl, looking at the upper back to try and un-blur the dot. She was clearly part demon and if Rachel could tell that from a mile away, she must also be succubi. That still didn’t answer the question as to why it was hard to see her dot.
    Biting her lip slightly, her attention as pulled away as the boy beside her pitched in. Her eyes still in that innocent wide expression. She had to give him points for that, being who he was, and doing what he did, took some real balls. Her eyes flickered away towards the new girl who was almost out of sight, Cain dealing with Rachel before stalking off after her. Clearly he had zeroed in on the new girl and wouldn’t take no for an answer this time. “Well. . . that was unexpected.” She said softly letting her eyes trail over to the boy beside her, only to have Rachel stalk her way over her.
    Madelyn felt the mood she had, pissed off and wanting to destroy someone. Bring up one exposed leg, she crossed it over the other, feeling her body tense up a little more, her eyes looking down into the almost empty cup. Lucky she wasn’t coming over to talk to Madelyn, but shadow boy, Madelyn couldn’t help but peek up when the boy went off on his speech. She felt a slight sadness entering her eyes. She knew what he meant. Madelyn, herself was totally human, but a puppet to a demon. She was not born what she was, but tricked into it. She hated what she had become and maybe that is how people such as the new girl felt.
    What happened next made Madelyn look up shocked and slightly afraid, she watched the girl run off, her friends running after her. She could feel her hands shaking a little, had he done that? Or was she just so pissed off, she took off. She wanted to run, she was scared. When his voice spoke, she felt herself jump a little. Her eyes meeting his for a moment, that fear within showing clear on her face. “Ah-“ She was lost of words. She looked back down at her cup quickly, gripping it tightly to stop her hands from shaking too much. “Ma-Madelyn.” She said softly, closing her eyes for a moment and taking in a deep breath. She needed to take back control of herself. After a moment she let out the breath, she let her eyes come back into contact with William. Her eyes had focused on his chest slightly for a moment as she looked up.
    “Sorry, still. . . adjusting to. . . this world.” She said softly giving him a soft smile before looking over towards the fire. For a moment she was quiet. “Um, did you make Rachel run off?” She asked softly, feeling a little uneasy about the question, but her mind was so side tracked, she no longer remember why she came down to talk to him. Jack seemed to have noticed how shaken, Madelyn was and also noticed who she was so close to. Demonic’s liked to stick together and help each other through the process of being what they were.
    He made his way over and tapped Madelyn on the shoulder. She looked up quickly. Her body relaxed a little, as he looked over at William. “Mind if I cut in?” he gave a smile at Madelyn, but his body was tense, and ready to react if William pulled anything.
    Madelyn knew what he was doing, her mind was still clearing up. “ Jack, I’m fine, go back.” She said softly before turning away and back to William giving him a small smile. Jack hesitated.
    “Maddie.” He almost wine.
    “I’m fine.” She said a little firmer before he slowly watched away, watching her closely as he did.
    “I’m sorry.” She said softly, not really sure what else to say. “My people skills are a little awkward. . . at first.” She finished letting off a light laugh. “Seems silly I know, but I guess that’s the charm people like about me.” She sighed. “You know. . . you have a point back there. Pure creatures usually don’t understand that, it makes me wonder how you do.”
    Shayne was inside, and gladly so. It was empty and she liked that. She had a chance to finally come to terms with the attention without it being there, and she walked at a slower pace for a moment, drinking in the silence. She never thought she would miss it, but when Rachel came over, she knew that it was going to get ugly and fast. However, Shayne had learned that if she removed herself from the situation early enough she could combat her own anger. Rachel had always done that to her, been the one to put her down because she was different, and in the Dream Realm, her differences did make her ugly. Here, however, Shayne was apparently a beautiful creature, like her mother always said. Her hand came up and began fiddling with the pendant her mother had given her before she heard Cain's voice. She wasn't expecting him, but she supposed company was welcomed.
    She stopped and turned slightly and when he spoke she felt a small smile on her face. The thing about Rachel though, earned a scoffed laugh. "That's not it entirely, I can tell you, in our world, she's Queen Bee, the one all of the others want to be or just want in general, and she lets them have her. I'm the weird one because I have something they don't, and she never let me live it down. I guess here though, things are different. This realm has definitely taken some getting used to." she said, and when his eyes focused on hers a little more, she could see it already. Compulsion. It was something that her father had actually trained her to comprehend, but her technique was still weak enough to let slips in, a lot more than usual, but she often tried harder for different things. Still, he was being nice, and he had come after her, so she'd give him something... Even if it did feel a little forced.
    "A start over sounds wonderful." she said, and when he introduced himself, her eyes watched him briefly. "Shayne Wilkinson." For a moment, she debated on whether or not to tell him what exactly she was before deciding maybe one person knowing would be alright, "Fire demoness-succubus hybrid. Just don't tell anyone else. I have to keep some kind of upper hand when trying to get rid of unwanted attention." she told him before motioning in front of her. "Mind showing me around? I can already tell that I would get terribly lost trying to navigate this school." she said to him before moving to walk a bit. It was nice to not have a lot of eyes on her, and she looked to the ground, "So Cain, what brought you here? You seem to have it all together." she commented. She knew for a fact that she didn't have it all together. Her emotions tied in with the fire and anger was the most destructive... In more than one way. It awakened her inner demon, something that she had desperately fought off. It had happened before. Where the demon took control, and she couldn't remember anything that happened. All she knew was that she nearly killed a group of succubi in the Dream realm, but with the accelerated healing and warped dimensional-ism of their realm, she wouldn't have actually been able to kill them unless they were completely reduced to ashes.
    The thought quickly fled her mind as she crossed her arms and walked. It wasn't that she was cold, she was never cold, it was just that she wasn't used to this form of interaction. Someone actually talking to her without putting her down, rather he had complimented her... It was... New. She almost liked it, but she would like it more if she knew how pure his intentions were. She didn't want to have any sort of sexual relations yet, she wasn't ready because she didn't know how her powers would work with it. She wanted better control before then, that and the idea of sex put her off anyway... Probably because she was never even given a passing glance before, and now... Now she had all sorts of attention.
    -&-
    William watched as Rachel ran off and a few others with her. He lived to prove points, and knowing the entire demonic language, old, new, and in between dialects and the updated speakings and spells, that often helped. However, when he looked over to Madelyn he saw an odd flash in her eyes, fear, and when Jack came over, he knew that he had scared her and the man himself seemed tense. He wouldn't hurt either of them, firstly because they hadn't wronged him, secondly he did not want to piss off a summoned. They were not easy to tango with and because of their almost feral nature, they were stronger than he was and he was older and more well-rounded than almost all of them.
    Her question made him smirk. "I just spoke to her true self. She wants to talk about someone being ugly, let her show what she really looks like. I'm sure a few men around here wouldn't believe how ugly a succubus in true form would be here." he quipped, "Besides, I only do that to people who are just being rude to be rude, if there were other reasons behind it, I would leave it alone. That and I kind of owed the new girl." he admitted, and when she commented about his statement after jack had been dismissed he sighed.
    "Must be." he gave her a soft smile, and when he heard the last bit of her statement, he sighed. "You know, just because I'm known as Shadow Freak doesn't mean I'm all bad you know. Sure... I have my fun, and I love pissing certain types of people off, but to be honest, I get it. I'm not out to piss off the wrong people and end up like almost everyone else in my race. Only able to come out when summoned, and believe me, I never want to tango with those guys. Being trapped down there does things to them... Turns them feral." he let out an involuntary shudder as his hand started to grey over with the comments and the small splotch traveled over his body, giving a small glimpse of his true form as it moved.
    "Plus, if you haven't noticed. Here, I'm not really seen in good eyes. Hell, that new girl is the first one here to have ever stood up for me, but I think it's because she knows what it's like. Besides, very few people would be able to see past her allure. It's very intriguing watching her mannerisms. How's she's trying to keep so cool... Kind of ironic in that way too." he chuckled before he leaned back slightly. "I just hope Cain knows what he's dealing with. If he thinks he's dealt with tempers before, I'm sure he's never dealt with a temper quite as hot as hers." he meant that both figuratively and physically. Fire demons mixed with other breeds that weren't other demon breathed chaos, and a succubus mix would just make it worse.
    He stood up though after a moment. "I'm afraid I must bid you Adieu, too many prying eyes... And ears. See you around, maybe." he waved a bit before he suck into his shadow and bolted off, coming up in the darkness of one of the castle's entryways and he let out a long breath. It was odd being in such light for a prolonged time, and he felt himself feeling a little better in the cool darkness.
    Cain couldn’t help but raise the almost invisible blond eyebrow as Shayne spoke. Rachel as Queen Bee made sense, but there were a good number of other girls at the school alone who would easily dethrone her. From Cain’s experience this race was all brake but no bite. Pushing his hands into his jean pockets he gave a small shrug. “Not really sure how shit goes down in there or well for. . . how do I say this with making it sound rude. . .” he trailed off pondering for a moment. “God, it’s like trying not to be racest to freaking different races in the human world. Your kind, sounds snobbish, half- not even going there. Let’s say . . .Bad ass people like yourself? Sound good?” Chuckling softly he gave a smile. “ Not being as bad ass as yourself I can’t really say I understand the being different thing. You supernatural to a human’s point of view, that’s all that matters. Clearly you have an upper hand too, which is good on ya.” He somewhat rumbled on there for a moment, for once not sure how to impress her in anyways. He had been thrown for a loop with the whole Rachel thing.
    As their eyes met, he started to pull her in, make her focus on him, and him only. He usually didn’t like to use this on supernaturals since it was easier for them to spot and well, they were his kind, if looking for a mate, that was totally cheating. One day he would grow up and man up into a committed relationship, but for now he wanted his fun. He was young for a very long time, he was going to use that. As they two started over, he noted the hesitation when telling him her race, but he couldn’t help the small corner of his lip turn up in a half grin. She already trusted him enough to tell him the truth. Bonus points! “Remember we are calling that bad ass, and now that I know what the other bad ass side of you is, makes it even more bad ass. Fire demons are the bomb in many ways.” He finished unable to not to smirk at the thought of the last fire demon when mixed things up with. She was a fire cracker and an amazing time. He kept her around the longest, before finally branching off again, though he had to watch his back for a while before she finally transferred schools. She did after all set him on fire the first time she saw him with another girl. Supply closet, half naked, not a good time at all.
    “Sure” he said softly with a small shrug. Truth be told, most students still got lost time to time. This place was huge, he was sure some of the teachers even got lost still. It would explain why they were late a lot of the time- that and having to walk across the damn castle to move classrooms. “ Well how about I show you the café, well one of them anyways. There are three through the school, then if you know your classes I can walk you from one to another.” He said before turning them towards the closet café. Her turn in making small talk, made his eyes flicker towards her then back in front of them. “ I may have been born in the 1400’s but in vampire years I’m still very young, therefore, I jump schools as I finish the four years. I believe this is my. . . ninety-sixth time or was it seventh? Well whatever, I’ve gone to each school in the range of my known languages at least twice.” He shrugged. It was really more about his parents not wanting him around, his lust was a very hard to handle- even though he seemed composed all the time- and well his family was very tradition until you are of twenty-five in human years you cannot leave school.
    “Okay so were here.” He said softly before leaning on the large double doors. Made of a soft oak craved with square stories from top to bottom, each picture depicting a creature of their world. “But before we go in, I wanna know. How did we get here?” He couldn’t help grin as he crossed his arms. He knew that most new people really didn’t grasp the idea of where or how they got from one place or another. This was a shorter trip so she was more likely to get it right. If not, he’d make them walk it again and again until she could tell him without hesitation or could lead her themselves.
    ~~~

    Madelyn was still very afraid, but she had to be strong. If she had lived through her summoning many years ago, she could make it through his. As William explained himself, she couldn’t help but laugh softly. “Sorry.” She covered his lips peeking up over at him from under her hair before quickly looking back at the fire. “It kind of reminds me of Dane Cook. Not sure if you’re in touch with the human world- most people here aren’t but there is a thing he talks about- not saying your creepy, but it’s called the creepy guy at work. In the end the guy snaps and only saves the one person who was nice to him.” She smiled. “I think everyone should be kinder, but really in the world that will never happen. People are too proud on themselves.” She said softly before sighing, the colours of the fire dancing in her brown eyes.

    Taping her fingers along the cup she held again, she peeked over at William “but hey, you’ve seen to make an impression on the new girl, just because Cain is going in to pull her into his little snobby group of vain people, doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance to be her friend. She seems rather above most of the people here, smarter.” She finished with a small smile, it was weak, the fear still hiding in the corner of her eyes, but it was better then she had been before. The topic then chanced to her fear again, and how she was still getting used to being a part of this world. Her smile faded and she looked back at the fire, her one hand coming up so her chin could rest in it.

    “Guess that means you guessed what I am eh?” She said softly her eyes said. She had hardly ever noticed this boy before, maybe he had noticed her before today. Then again, that would have meant he would have known her name? But she didn’t introduce herself first, so he gave his name knowing that she wouldn’t know? Now she was clearly over thinking. “I’m not going to lie, demons don’t sit well with me, but. . . I try my best. . .” She trailed off. “Do. . . Do you know what happens to a soul? One that-tha-that a demon. . . I mean summoned takes?” She could feel her voice struggling as her throat tried to close up on her. She would no cry here, though she was scared of the unknown, she would like answers if he could give her any. She finally peeked over once again. “William. . . I’ll. . . try my best not. . . to prejudge, but no promises.” She finished with a small sadness in her eyes before looking away again.

    The subject turned back towards the new girl. It almost seemed like he was crushing on her. He was really. . . adorable in a way. She couldn’t help but smile a little, however, he had noticed the difference and seemed to understand it. She was right to sit by him and wiggle her way to an answer. She straighten up and frowned a little. “How, how do I put this? Umm, well-“ She brought up her one hand and pointed his chest softly. “There is your demon soul, yours is black with soft touches of gray meaning a shadow demon. . . but when I looked at her. . . that whole section of her body. . . was blurry. Jack-“ She pointed her finger towards the boy who had come up to them earlier” –seemed to have the same issue as me. You wouldn’t have an idea as to why that is?” She asked softly hoping that she wasn’t making herself seem like an open book. She was curious and teachers and government staff always loved to side step the questions demonic witches had.

    Before the two could move onto any other topics, William seemed to have gotten antsy. He did his good bye, and was gone in a flash. Madelyn had reached out to grab him, pull him to stay and talk, but as she went to touch him he was gone, only a small mist of his soul touching her fingers. She sighed softly before turning back to the fire. It was then that her friends came back up to her. “What the hell was that about? Talking to that freak.” Now to wiggle her way out of this and try to get through the night. Hopefully the new girl would be enough of a distraction that she wouldn’t have rumors about her moving. . . to the dark side as some would put it.

    Shayne listened to Cain. Took in every word he said, and she had to admit it brought a smile to her face and her heart warmed slightly. It was so odd, that another creature could look upon her and not find her grotesque. Perhaps she had grown far too accustomed to the dream realm, and she needed to transition into this realm. So she was badass? Nice. She had to admit it was odd feeling so free to speak with people, and she gave a look when he gave her his answer and she looked away. "So, you're not at all new to this school stuff?" she chuckled. She found that a bit odd, but she couldn't say much, school still boggled her. When he asked about how they got there she turned and pointed.

    "We came from the entrance furthest... North I believe. Followed it's corridor hung a left down the next, took a right at the end of the next corridor and arrived here after a bit of walking." she remembered, and she looked at the double doors before them before she looked to Cain. He was a very attractive male. Most vampires were she could recall, however, none had realized just what they had gotten into when they had chose to follow her. The last said it was something about her eyes, how they spoke to him, but she didn't understand it. She had drained him and when he woke, she was certain he hated her for not giving him what he wanted. The urge was coming already. To feed. It only came and went as she thought about it, so she tried to move her train of thought back to something else when she heard someone else bound a corner and spot them.

    "Sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt!" the figure called, and that caused a spark of curiosity to ignite within her. She wouldn't call it now though, and she looked up to Cain.

    "Was I right?" she inquired, hoping she had gotten the path right. "About the path to here? Even small steps is enough for a place this sizable. Almost makes me wish I were part ghost. Go through the walls." she said with an amused chuckle, and she looked at the hall lighting dimmed. It was because it was using small fire pits around the outer edge, near the open windows and the wind kept turning it out. She closed her eyes and focused a moment before the flames began burning slightly brighter, and when she opened them she shifted her eyes to Cain. "Sorry if it's too bright in here. I've learned that vampires have rather acute senses." she apologized. "I was straining my eyes trying to see is all." she admitted and soon another person bounded a nearby corner looking lost. They soon headed off the way they came and Shayne rose a brow.

    She couldn't say she wouldn't have those moments, but it was odd to see them so suddenly, perhaps it was just because people were getting cold and looking for their rooms to get their jackets? She was told that classes would start the next day, and that lateness was forgiven because of the sheer size of the castle, so she wasn't super worried. She rubbed her upper arm slightly, crossing her arms. She wasn't at all cold, no, but she was still unsure of how to respond with body language and that was her go-to stances anymore.

    -&-

    William hated leaving the girl on hook, but the fire, it was starting to get to him. Madelyn, he had to remind himself. She had asked him some questions that he knew he should answer, but if she knew anything about shadow demons, the first thing she should have remembered was their inability to remain in bright lights. The fire wasn't bright, per say, but the prolonged exposure was bugging him. She asked about summoned and how long their held souls... That was a hard question to answer, but he had a feeling he knew why she asked. Because she, herself, was trapped by one. He could always find out, but that meant being gone for a while, and he would rather not appreciate burning up. If he ever felt the need to know though... He could find out. Her question about the new girl struck him as odd too. She could see a demon's soul, that he could understand, but why the new girl's was blurry... That he had no idea. He could find out though. Sometimes it was simple, and other times it was hard to find out... If only he could find someone who could see the souls of demons.

    "Well... perhaps it is time I call in that favor." he said to himself with a smirk. Despite being the "bad boy" and pissing people off... He did do things for others... Mostly blackmail them, but he had done a few favors and now had a few to cash in. He knew who to ask. However, at the moment he didn't see him. He knew where to look though and soon he sank down into the shadows and bounded off through the school and he rose in a very dark room where a few candles were lit and a boy was hunched over, writing down something odd. It was the old demon language, he could see that. "Gio..."

    The boy turned. "What is it William? I have many things to write down and so little time. Things are going to happen this year, William. Big things... I've... I've seen them." The boy pointed to his eyes. He was blind, and often was teased as well for being different, even in the eyes of the supernatural. He was supernatural though. He was ultimately human, but he could see things. He had been blind from birth, and very reserved to his work. How he wrote still amazed William even, but he knew things that even William didn't.

    "Giovanni. I have a few questions for you." William asked, sitting on the man's bed. "You said you could see something in me? Correct."

    "Yes. I see a black cloud, I'm assuming where your chest is. I've explained this a million times to you William, why am I explaining this again when I have to be writing down this latest vision?" he inquired.

    "Write and explain something to me then. Did you say the ones in the chest are only demons?" he inquired, and William nodded as he continued to write.

    "Yes. Only demons have clouded colors in their chest. Other beings have different cues for me when I run into them. You know that." he spoke, hurriedly. "Why do you ask?"

    "A new student has arrived. Half succubus, half fire demoness. According to one of those demonic witches you speak of, her demon area is a blur. What would cause that?" he asked, and Giovanni stopped a moment before he began again.

    "That would require my own sight to tell. Being what I am, I may not see it as a blur. It just might not be visible to them because it's not the prominent species. I've explained this to you as well." Giovanni spoke, and William took his hand and pulled him up. "Where are we going, William?" Giovanni asked, and William pulled them both into the shadows and bounded them off. He stayed far enough back in the hallway so that Cain and Shayne wouldn't see them and when he pushed Giovanni up, he saw him looking. When Giovanni began walking away, however, William pulled him back and brought him back to his room.

    "Well?" he inquired.

    "Quite the anomaly. I'll look into it. For now, tell whomever it was that it is likely of little concern to them." Giovanni said, picking back up on his writing.

    "Why are you writing about the summoned?" he inquired.

    "They are who I saw." Giovanni said before William sank back into the shadow and headed off. Giovanni had seen many things. Natural disasters, the coming of many of the "dangerous ones" in the school, but never had he written on the summoned. That was very odd... very odd indeed. He reappeared in the courtyard near the fire, and he began thinking, heavily, into the matter of the summoned. Perhaps it was time he burned up and went back to his realm. Maybe there was something there he was missing.

    For those whom I RP with:

    Alright, I know I've been gone for a long time, and I've been trying to get back, but currently I am having a lot of trouble coming up with any sort of creative muse for some of the things that I have going. Please PM me if you are still interested in the RP(s) we have and I will start trying to find my muse for them. If you want to start something new, I won't mind that either. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

    He couldn't help but laugh at her comment about not being new to school. He had been able to hide the bitterness behind it easily, but deep down inside he was over the school life. “No, not in the least.” he finished with a grin as the two came to the large cafe hallway. As he placed himself in front of Shayne he listened carefully as she noted the path they had taken quickly. He couldn't help but be slightly surprised. However, before he could comment someone stumbled around the corner. Cain looked at the boy, he. . . seemed almost oddly familiar. He was one of those freaks, but which one Cain couldn't remember. Cain didn't really care either as he stumbled back around the corner. “Well that was weird.”

    Lucky Shayne hadn't been too distracted by the freak and they quickly got back on track. “ Yeah, I'm impressed. You have a knack for details.” He commented before pushing his large strong body off the doors before giving a small push for a vampire to let the door slide open. On the inside, it was not like any school cafe in the human world. The tables were around and glass, each chair covered in a black cloth and backed with stuffing to make them more comfortable. On each table were a set for eating so one could come in at anytime and order. In the centre of each table were a set of flowers, each table having a different arrangement. Torches lined along the Gothic arches. Most of the building had been done in Gothic architecture only a few remodels having different styles such as baroque and rococo.

    Hanging from the high ribbed vault ceiling was the orbs of fire. Lastly just at the tops of the walls were stain glass windows that matched the many cravings along the wood door which Cain had just opened. Cain, with a very gentlemen like gesture waved his hand out in front of himself with a small bow towards the now open door. “dopo aver si” He said in Italian hoping to impress her a little. It was clearly from his accent that he was Italian but she hadnt seemed to commented on it yet.

    Following in after her, Cain pushed his hands back into his pockets. “So this is one of many of our cafes around school, people tend to stick to one, but if your ever running late you can always switch. Since were, here if your hunger I can show you how it works or we can move onto how to get to your class rooms if you want?” He said with a smile and leaned agasint one of the tables, planeting all of his weight into his feet so he wouldn't break the table.

    Madelyn had manage to get the converstation off and away from her. Though she could still feel the odd way they felt about her little talk with William. She shouldn't have done it, but really. . . he didn't seem all that bad. The group of girls grew as the night went on, a few males even joining in. It was really becomng a group of all races now with the tension of one of the freaks out of the picture. She felt almost out of place in the moment. She pretty much sat beside the fire and watched the flames flicker around in a dance. She was trying to distract her mind, but for some reason it was totally impossible. She was having a rough day dealing with people. She was more on egde, more easily annoyed and well ready to snap. She had been going through waves of it for the last few days becuase of her master's voice in her head.

    Just beucase she was a woman and women PMS, wasn't the reason. She had a hard time keeping calm when people acted as if there was nothing wrong in the world, that there was nothing evil about who or what they are. Yes everyone should have a chance at life, but how they pick on the poeple of her kind was unfair. Madelyn herself along with the other human born races would be looked at differently by others. Madelyn had wiggled her way in rather well, but people like vampires and incubus always had this look in the deepest parts of their eyes. A hungery for what Madelyn had that others didn't.

    One of the girls, a green skined fairy sat down beside her in a very unlady like manner and stuck her feet out in front of her well leaning back. “Maddy! My girl, why you so quiet?” she gigled clearly drunk off of something.

    “Head ache.” she lied with a small smile, still holding her empty cup from before.

    The girl raised an eyebrow at her before swing an arm around Madelyn's shoulder. “Awwe that's no fun.” She pouted as she leaned her head on Madelyn's shoulder. Madelyn could smell the mixture of grass, flowers and some other sweet smell. It made her eyes feel heavy, an effect of whatever the fairy girl had drunk.

    Pushing her hands into the girls arm, almost making her fall over. “Sorry, I think, I'mma call it a night.” she said before waving goodbye to a number of people getting booed, before dipping away from the light of the fire. Once in the dim light of the moon and fairy orbs which dotted the school grounds she reached down and slipped her shoes off with a sigh.

    Just as she was about to stand upright, the voice came back. “Madelyn, wh-” He got her whole name out. She felt her body tighten up, fear stricking her. “why do-do- Madelyn!” He was clearly getting frustated by the spell the goverment had put on her. He was angry, she could feel her body shaking. She let her arms slowly come up and wrap around her body.

    “He- he can't get you Maddy.” She whispered to herself as the voice kept stuttering away in her mind. She took her time making her way back to the class, before finally making it inside. Pressing up along the large metal door she closed her eyes, her body still shaking slightly. “Breath.” she told herself. She just had to make it to her room before she could do anything to stop the voice.
