Shayne was inside, and gladly so. It was empty and she liked that. She had a chance to finally come to terms with the attention without it being there, and she walked at a slower pace for a moment, drinking in the silence. She never thought she would miss it, but when Rachel came over, she knew that it was going to get ugly and fast. However, Shayne had learned that if she removed herself from the situation early enough she could combat her own anger. Rachel had always done that to her, been the one to put her down because she was different, and in the Dream Realm, her differences did make her ugly. Here, however, Shayne was apparently a beautiful creature, like her mother always said. Her hand came up and began fiddling with the pendant her mother had given her before she heard Cain's voice. She wasn't expecting him, but she supposed company was welcomed.
She stopped and turned slightly and when he spoke she felt a small smile on her face. The thing about Rachel though, earned a scoffed laugh. "That's not it entirely, I can tell you, in our world, she's Queen Bee, the one all of the others want to be or just want in general, and she lets them have her. I'm the weird one because I have something they don't, and she never let me live it down. I guess here though, things are different. This realm has definitely taken some getting used to." she said, and when his eyes focused on hers a little more, she could see it already. Compulsion. It was something that her father had actually trained her to comprehend, but her technique was still weak enough to let slips in, a lot more than usual, but she often tried harder for different things. Still, he was being nice, and he had come after her, so she'd give him something... Even if it did feel a little forced.
"A start over sounds wonderful." she said, and when he introduced himself, her eyes watched him briefly. "Shayne Wilkinson." For a moment, she debated on whether or not to tell him what exactly she was before deciding maybe one person knowing would be alright, "Fire demoness-succubus hybrid. Just don't tell anyone else. I have to keep some kind of upper hand when trying to get rid of unwanted attention." she told him before motioning in front of her. "Mind showing me around? I can already tell that I would get terribly lost trying to navigate this school." she said to him before moving to walk a bit. It was nice to not have a lot of eyes on her, and she looked to the ground, "So Cain, what brought you here? You seem to have it all together." she commented. She knew for a fact that she didn't have it all together. Her emotions tied in with the fire and anger was the most destructive... In more than one way. It awakened her inner demon, something that she had desperately fought off. It had happened before. Where the demon took control, and she couldn't remember anything that happened. All she knew was that she nearly killed a group of succubi in the Dream realm, but with the accelerated healing and warped dimensional-ism of their realm, she wouldn't have actually been able to kill them unless they were completely reduced to ashes.
The thought quickly fled her mind as she crossed her arms and walked. It wasn't that she was cold, she was never cold, it was just that she wasn't used to this form of interaction. Someone actually talking to her without putting her down, rather he had complimented her... It was... New. She almost liked it, but she would like it more if she knew how pure his intentions were. She didn't want to have any sort of sexual relations yet, she wasn't ready because she didn't know how her powers would work with it. She wanted better control before then, that and the idea of sex put her off anyway... Probably because she was never even given a passing glance before, and now... Now she had all sorts of attention.

William watched as Rachel ran off and a few others with her. He lived to prove points, and knowing the entire demonic language, old, new, and in between dialects and the updated speakings and spells, that often helped. However, when he looked over to Madelyn he saw an odd flash in her eyes, fear, and when Jack came over, he knew that he had scared her and the man himself seemed tense. He wouldn't hurt either of them, firstly because they hadn't wronged him, secondly he did not want to piss off a summoned. They were not easy to tango with and because of their almost feral nature, they were stronger than he was and he was older and more well-rounded than almost all of them.
Her question made him smirk. "I just spoke to her true self. She wants to talk about someone being ugly, let her show what she really looks like. I'm sure a few men around here wouldn't believe how ugly a succubus in true form would be here." he quipped, "Besides, I only do that to people who are just being rude to be rude, if there were other reasons behind it, I would leave it alone. That and I kind of owed the new girl." he admitted, and when she commented about his statement after jack had been dismissed he sighed.
"Must be." he gave her a soft smile, and when he heard the last bit of her statement, he sighed. "You know, just because I'm known as Shadow Freak doesn't mean I'm all bad you know. Sure... I have my fun, and I love pissing certain types of people off, but to be honest, I get it. I'm not out to piss off the wrong people and end up like almost everyone else in my race. Only able to come out when summoned, and believe me, I never want to tango with those guys. Being trapped down there does things to them... Turns them feral." he let out an involuntary shudder as his hand started to grey over with the comments and the small splotch traveled over his body, giving a small glimpse of his true form as it moved.
"Plus, if you haven't noticed. Here, I'm not really seen in good eyes. Hell, that new girl is the first one here to have ever stood up for me, but I think it's because she knows what it's like. Besides, very few people would be able to see past her allure. It's very intriguing watching her mannerisms. How's she's trying to keep so cool... Kind of ironic in that way too." he chuckled before he leaned back slightly. "I just hope Cain knows what he's dealing with. If he thinks he's dealt with tempers before, I'm sure he's never dealt with a temper quite as hot as hers." he meant that both figuratively and physically. Fire demons mixed with other breeds that weren't other demon breathed chaos, and a succubus mix would just make it worse.
He stood up though after a moment. "I'm afraid I must bid you Adieu, too many prying eyes... And ears. See you around, maybe." he waved a bit before he suck into his shadow and bolted off, coming up in the darkness of one of the castle's entryways and he let out a long breath. It was odd being in such light for a prolonged time, and he felt himself feeling a little better in the cool darkness.
