Hey folks, My RP, Adventure Academy, has a couple extra slots open! We have a maximum of 8 players, and currently reside at 7. HOWEVER, two are on suspension, one pending removal, and one has yet to post and claim his spot. This translates out to an unfortunate 3 slots open, so let me know if you'd be interested in joining!
So the idea behind it is that there's a boarding school that takes an interesting approach to the learning process. It has two campuses, one is your typical run-of-the-mill boarding school, and the other is built on the site of an old summer camp about 2 miles down the road. In the winter, The school holds classes in the main campus like any other school. Once the weather improves enough, the school moves to the summer camp location and classes are held out doors. Students who stay over the summer stay on the Campgrounds, and have the opportunity to work for the school to lessen the cost of their education. The school accepts grades 1-12, but the average student starts at grade 4.
The school is, of course, full of secrets, from an attic long undisturbed, to the quiet pond at the far end of the camp. There are also a fair number of secret organizations on campus as well. Adventure and learning await at every turn. What will you do? What will you find? Who will you befriend? Who will you betray? School's in session. Have fun out there!

So does this mean that there will be some kind of plot to the RP? A mystery to solve? I am normally hesitant to join a high-school RP cause they have a tendency to devolve into...well...an awkward semi-romance game of flirts and blushing. I also have a few questions, what does the school teach? Fighting, Survival, etc? Also can't you just put a picture and get rid of the complexion stuff?

Hmmm, I am kind of interested though. I really do want to try to something besides fantasy...Can I join for a while and if it's not my cup of tea can I leave? (By having my character transfer mid-semester?)

There is an overarching story, but for the most part, it's character interaction. I share your concern, though, and expect HIGH LEVEL RPing. And that doesn't mean post length, I mean you have to know how to RP and do it RIGHT. (your posts in SotD are on par for this, so don't feel intimidated by that.)

I personally am passively anti-gay, but I don't have a problem with it here, particularly because RPGuild banned most of that kinda stuff

I don't believe same-sex romances are banned by the site, or do you just mean explicit content? If you (or anyone else) is uncomfortable I can either change it or just not explicitly come up.
