THROUGH THE SHATTERED GLASS

Many thousands of years ago, an ancient magi created the first mirror as a gift for the first Pharaoh of Egypt, Hsekiu, out of polished copper. It was not for him to gaze upon though - the mirror, known as the "Nihilithian", was created by magic, a prison world for those who opposed the Pharaohs reign. Hsekiu banished many creatures through the Nihilithian during his reign. After his death, the records of the Nihilithian ended, and it was forever lost beneath the rolling sands.

Those banished to the mirror world united together and created their own people, whom they called "Miroire", and throughout the decades they lived in relative peace. Recently, however, the first of the banished ones, The Madame, ruler of the Miroire, has decided to re-enter the human world and bring it under her control.

A band of Miroire opposed to her will now attempts warn the human world of the incoming invasion, but it seems the Madame has outside help...

This is a fantasy RP with elements of magic, the supernatural, and humanoids including vampires and other creatures. You may play as any creature/humanoid/human you wish, with a mix of any abilities you wish, but you must be from either human society, or the Miroire society. Each "Miriore" will be paired with a "human", and vice versa. Here's the CS:

An explanation on the pairing system:
Miroire cannot enter the human world without a "catalyst", which is someone contracted to them from the human world that gives them permission to enter it. In this way, Miroire can go back and forth between the two worlds, as long as the "catalyst" allows them. "Catalysts" must be touching a mirror in order to pull their Miroire into the human world. "Catalysts" can only pull their contracted Miroire through. "Catalysts" also have an ability unique to them that will be introduced later in the story.

I will update this post to include all RPs characters as the RP progresses, as well as any important notices I have in regards to plot and other RPers, including openings in the RP and when it is closed.

UPDATE:

For now, the Maximum number of Miroire and Humans is five of each, totalling up to 10 RPers. Depending on how popular this may get, this number may change, but I may include specific roles for people to play as in order to keep things interesting and organized as best as it could be. I may also ask people to change their chosen society to make sure everyone is paired with someone. I also reserve the right to create as many characters as I please for this RP, though they'll be mostly for story purposes. The following is a list of spots taken and open:

Theron D. Frostwell was banished to the Nihilithian when he was wrongfully imprisoned for saving a woman from having her virginity taken from three of the Pharaoh's Guard. Theron successfully knocked out of all the three guards, however, when they awoken, they found Theron and arrested him. Theron was then banished into the world of Nihilithian and stayed there for the rest of his life.

The Legendaries were once a thriving race that was almost identical to the Human race with one exception, their extraordinary power. They are known as the "Jack of all Aces", being good in every single category. The Legendaries, when they were children, would be taken to a "Barrack" and taught about their powers, their culture and race, and numerous other stuff. They would then focus on one primary category and learn how to be good in that single category, and, that said category to master in could take years! But, the Legendaries were a persistent people. After tens of thousands of years, the Legendaries were wiped out in a war in the early 21st Century. It is said that many numerous famous people were of the Legendary race, some examples include George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Queen Victoria, Napoleon Bonaparte, and many other famous people.

Powers: "Jack of all Trades, Master of None Few"
Ranged Weapon: Bow
Theron is able to easily shoot off a bow and ACCURATELY hit a target two miles away! However, this is only if Theron sees the target, if he does not, he's out of luck.

Melee Weapons: Long Swords, Daggers
Theron is able to wield two long swords at the same time and be very quick while doing so, wielding it with grace and doing it while looking effortless. Theron also relies on Daggers if he has to quickly take out a weapon and defend himself.

Magic: Flame and Sword
Theron is able to use Magic, Flame and Sword magic. Theron can summon ANY sword (That he has made a bond with (A bond is where Theron has put a weighted jewel on his sword)) and can infuse his swords with Fire/Flame. Theron can also shoot off a ball of fire and fire in general.

Equipment:
Magic Glove
This Magic Glove is on both of Theron's hands, they have a blue jewel in the bottom of them (Underneath Theron's hands and fingers), that jewel acts as a Magic enhancer, thus, enhancing the Magical capabilities of somebody like Theron. Without the gloves, Theron's magic is much weaker.

Bio: Ariana was a simple peasant girl living in secret among humans for the longest of times. She's lived thousands of years, but she never met one such as Hsekiu who was able to see through her illusion. When she was discovered he asked her to lead his army and invade nearby peaceful villages to rule over. When she refused after so many times I guess ones temper can get a little to hot and she was banished within this special mirror he had and since then that's where she has remained.
Powers: She doesn't really have a vast set of powers, she has a special blade with a special mechanism at the hilt that varies through vast elemental powers and others depending on the color that it's turned to. Other then that she has teleporting abilities and a spell that can increase her speed.
Equipment: A special blade with a special gear mecanism at the hilt with various colors of gems each possessing an ability of a different kind of element, depending on witch color the mechanism is turned to will be the power through the entire weapon but only thorugh the weapon can it be used. Although if used to much for a prolonged time the gems will get drained of there power and will take a while for the blade to be useful again.
Other: She's a little protective and hates when she can't protect the people she cares about.

Mirajane had no choice but to deceive the pharaoh.
Powers:
Satan Soul: Has three tranformations, each with their own appearance and abilities. She can only transform into one of them for a set amount of time, and cannot switch between them for a set amount of time.

Bio: Gabriel is in the Miroire world because of his family, his father long ago tried to usurp the throne of a king, he was sent to this world to keep him from trying anything ever again, he used his powers to pull his pregnant wife who was human with him, she died in labour days after and Gabriel was raised to despise full humans
Powers: Able to teleport short distances (this includes other items but the bigger the item the shorter the distance and more energy used) and copy small amounts of matter (max is conveniently the size of an average dagger) he can also make a fake of himself but only one, his attention is divided when he is like this as he has to control both bodies, the fake cannot use his other powers
Equipment: He keeps multiple daggers hidden on him as well small smoke bombs and a deck of metal playing cards
Other: He is slightly insane, in his own way of course, he has always needed to prove himself and seem perfect so now that he gains his own sense of freedom he he enjoys doing random things, it is quite hard to keep his attention placed on something he dislikes

Bio: Unlucky was an understatement when it came to Mediyan. In a world where appearance decided ones fate, Mediyan was born with demon-blood. Worse, his reputation as the “demon assassin” was without basis. For the record, he was only a half demon. Anything that his demon father did should not be blamed on him...not that he knew his father. Being a half demon was not even his fault. He was also not an assassin, an assassin kills for pay. Mediyan is a merchant who goes on business trips to convince his competitors that the world is too big to compete with each other; though sometimes, there was just no reasoning with the other party. It was never his fault when he killed someone, if the other person wanted to have a competition then Mediyan will give the first blow which was almost certainly always deadly. Thus, Mediyan became one of the wealthiest merchants during his time and it was all thanks to his sound business ethics.

When Mediyan was captured, he cried foul. What would happen to his treasures? he was sure that the pharaoh would appropriate it for himself - the man was a simple thief! There was no trial, no hearing.... no opportunity to curse the pharaoh or at least give him the finger (well he did but the Pharoah did not see it so it does not count).

Powers:
Shadow Manipulation: Able to control shadows like puppets.
Demon Mode: Mediyan’s physical abilities increase a considerable amount (Rather than a general increase of all his physical abilities, Mediyan could isolate and boost a certain physical aspect resulting to a more potent increase of that ability). During this mode, a fire is emitted by the body or the part which is boosted.

Equipment:

2/3’s the height of Mediyan, rotation possible while being held. Mediyan carries it at his back. When thrown it returns back to Mediyan

Other: Mediyan is a compulsive person though he responds to bribing quite well.

He's never spoken since the incident. Being among the ruins of that catastrophe, traumatized him deeply as a young child... He was scared, terrified and seemingly every bone in his body was shivering because his eyes couldn't process the knowledge, that his entire family was dead. He would of died there himself if an old man hadn't seen him in front of the blazing flames of what was once his home. He didn't want to go with the man, but eventually the old man persuaded him to come along... But before leaving he swore mentally to return to the place... He didn't know why it was so important to come back there.... He just did it because he felt he had to....

... He didn't like this strange man he accompanied... but he did understand that he wasn't evil... Otherwise he would of shoved him in the flames rather then help him seek sanctuary elsewhere. So that in itself was reason enough to at least get to know him better.... Years passed as the snow melted to grass and back again, outside of the little building where they lived.... The old man taught him alchemy and how to create powerful chemical reactions... Well the ones he knew now were quite powerful... Of course at the beginning it was little more then dissolving stuff in water and other boring experiments... But he looked past all the negative things he thought about the stuff he was learning and began to focus on how things could be useful to him... This is what helped him become who he is today. Focus. Complete Focus.

He was a young adult when he left the Old Man... He had an extensive chemistry set that the old guy had given him as a parting gift... He then went to a nearby city and applied to be a map maker as he wanted to explore and understand more and more of the world around him... In the interview he show-cased his passion for the position... So he got the job easily enough.. It involved traveling with a small group to all sorts of areas in order to provide the first geographical maps of each area...

Unfortunately, one day while they were in a particularly large forest there was a scent of smoke in the air... At first he thought it might have been just some idle person lighting up a b.b.q.... but then the stench became much stronger... He turned to the right and all of sudden there was a monstrous flame before him, so he ran for it.... He didn't care if the others were following or not... All that mattered was him and his life's work was safe and sound... But the forest fire was relentless and it surrounded him before he even could get near the forested areas exit... He quickly tried adding two elements to the fire in front of him... but it engulfed them and roared up, searing his arm to blackened flesh in an instant... He tried with other elements and finally managed to make a path through the flame, breathing hard as he proceeded to book-it out of there... He supposed the others had escaped because they weren't the pack mule for the excursion... Then focussing on his arm, decidedly using his knife from his chem. set to slice back the skin to see what lay beneath... THE bone was black and a gaseous cloud seeped out of his arm and into his face... He began to panic at the sight before realizing that he wasn't coughing.. It must have been that his lungs had got used to the smoke in the forest... He decided to add elements to the bone that could do something similar when exposed to the air... Then he wrapped his arm in his cloak and made his way back to the city...

Powers: He can release a very large cloud of gas that is poisonous and seemingly opaque from his arm in an extremely short space of time...

Equipment: Chem. set with some rare elements inside... His Map of many regions...

Other: He can react to a situation in a very efficient manner...

Bio: Raphael had a relatively normal childhood, until he lost his parents and his left arm in an accident. It was at the same time that he discovered his latent healing properties, as he was able the stem his bleeding enough to survive until help arrived. He now has a rather advanced prosthetic limb in place of his old one.
Powers: Mild healing properties
Equipment: Robotic left arm, if that could be considered equipment.
Other: Surprisingly well-adjusted, all things considered. He is, however, very touchy about the subject of the accident, and also developed hemophobia as a result of it.

Talia was born of the in the middle of a horrible sandstorm, in which dozens of snakes had crawled into her tent as she was in her little crib. The snakes crawled into her bed, but did not bite her. They simply just slithered there. If someone besides her birth parents came near her, the snakes would hiss at them, and eventually bite them to death. She grew up with the sand in her blood and snakes crawling and slithering around her, giving her the nickname "Sand Snake". As she was walking the desert once when she was fourteen, she stumbled upon a dagger lodged in the sand. It had a snake hilt, and in graved on the blade it said:
The Sand Snake will travel east with her children, and find the ultimate power to counter the conquest.
She did not understand what it meant, but she traveled east anyway, the snakes following her around as her bond with the snakes grew even more, giving her special powers. She now walks the sands, her snakes with her, as she travels from city to city, hoping to find the thing the dagger had told her to find.

Powers:
*Venomous Saliva* Talia's saliva has a special toxin in it which could paralyze the victim, burn them, or in extreme cases, end their life after 5 days of burning agony. She can control whether the spit would be venomous or not.
*Sand storm* Talia may also brew a sand storm in any place which has an overwhelming amount of sand. She often uses this to slow enemies and for get-aways of she runs into trouble.
Equipment:

*The Desert Viper*: The special dagger she found lodged into the sand, it helps her make any cuts she needs to anyone. She usually dips this in poison to help kill anyone who get's in her way.

Bio: Vivian was born a second child, with an older brother who was already five. Her parents were both better off, and she was happy. But that didn't last long. Vivian and her brother were playing hide-n-go-seek together in the woods, what seemed like a normal day was about to take a turn for the worse. Vivian was hiding behind a tree, struggling hard not to laugh or giggle, which proved difficult. With no warning, a strong hand clamped over her mouth and before she knew it, she was out cold. For the next couple years of her life, she was a slave to her captors. Although she was used to the abuse, one day it was just too much for her. As she was on the ground, a bright purple field of light shielded her from the next blow. It lasted a couple minutes, enough for the man to want to leave. At the age of 16, she managed to escape and never looked back. While she was captive, they were stupid enough to teach her so she had some skills. From then on, she was on her own.
Powers: Vivian can create weak force fields, although they usually break after about three hits depending on the power and drain her immensely.

Bio: Growing up in a monastery, Ouro Mehen, would spend his days getting lectured and collecting herbs. After a visit to the market, he became enthralled with the bartering and exchange of vast goods and money.

Ouro was soon stealing away herbs from the monastery to sell. Eventually he was caught and kicked out of the monastery. He learned the taste of wealth too well during that time; the power, the freedom it brought him was irresistible.

Taking up the name Mr. Coil, he moved onto merchanting. Even the profit from that venture was not enough and he grew bored. Ouro Mehen found himself wanting more, searching for alternative means to achieve far greater riches.

Powers: Some skill with a blade.

Equipment: A short sword, various herbs, and a smoking pipe made of oak.

Others: He is constantly worrying, even when all is going well.

Bio: A lamia intent on the subjugation of the human world under her rule. Commands a large force of creatures and beings who share in her cause.
Abilities: Similar to a medusa, to gaze upon her visage is certain death. Her intelligence and strength is unmatched by those under her rule. Her ability to 'swim' through materials makes her an excellent assassin. She can also project her voice across dimensions to communicate with her minions from a safe haven.
Equipment: Other than her scales and the dress she wears, she also wears a mask so as not to kill her charges during briefings.
Student/Staff (which one?) : N/A
Other: a Killeable character, the antagonist of the story. Characters sent out by her will be NPCs that are also killeable.

MARY FAY

Bio: Mary's history and purpose are insofar unknown to both the Madame and her subjects, only that she has been in the mirror world even before the Madame, the first of those banished by Hsekiu.*
Powers: For reasons unknown, Mary does not require a "catalyst" in order to traverse through mirrors, and in fact can travel between any reflective surface she has seen at any point in time, as long as the reflection remains un-manipulated (water cannot be disturbed in order for this to work, for example). The reflection must be relatively distinct as well. She may also store objects in the mirror world and produce them at will through said reflections. She can also manipulate the reflections, but in return they can no longer be traversed through. Within the mirror world, she has no true body and can control the machinations of the world itself.
Equipment: Mary carries a pack of small hand mirrors in her pocket and little else. However, she also has a substantial store of equipment within the mirror world that she can access at any time.*
Other: Mary will often jump between mirrors to relay information to others characters.

EDIT: Deinazz, none of those from the human world have any knowledge of the invasion unless otherwise stated by the RPers in their CS. This means that Miroire RPers will have to explain the situation to the "humans" in a way unique to their characters personality. Does that mean you want to be from the "human" world?

Powers: She doesn't really have a vast set of powers, she has a special blade with a special mechanism at the hilt that varies through vast elemental powers and others depending on the color that it's turned to. Other then that she has teleporting abilities and a spell that can increase her speed.
Equipment: A special blade with a special gear mecanism at the hilt with various colors of gems each possessing an ability of a different kind of element, depending on witch color the mechanism is turned to will be the power through the entire weapon but only thorugh the weapon can it be used. Although if used to much for a prolonged time the gems will get drained of there power and will take a while for the blade to be useful again.
Other: She's a little protective and hates when she can't protect the people she cares about.

That's what I was going for, for the Fate Stay Night character. For every Archer Character, he has to have some Melee Capabilities, if not and somebody with a sword runs up to him, he's dead, if you have somebody protecting him with a sword, that's fine, but if not? He's dead if a guy with a sword gets to him, thus, I believe each and every Archer needs to have some melee capabilities.

Whispers: Yes, generally the populace of the human world are weaker than those of the Miroire, but those chosen as "catalysts" have their powers enhanced through the contract between their miroire. There is no real power difference between the Miroire and the "catalysts", but everyday citizens are definitely weaker than the miroire. it's an invasion after all.
