Government officials reported it as an accident, an explosion at a power plant that left many people dead. They said it was unfortunate, but they had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, what they hadn't been expecting was for some of those people to wake up an hour later. Those people were not returned to their families, however. They were reported as missing and thrown in a government facility without any comprehension of what had just taken place.

They are given little to eat and haven't seen the sun in days. The rooms that they are in are small, with a bed and a nightstand. There are guards that walk up and down the halls every hour to check on them, bullet proof vest and all. Everyday the group of people are individually sent out of their rooms, only to have a needle shoved in their arm and to wake up back in their uncomfortable beds.

The only notion that this group of people has as to why they are here is that they have now all become "radioactive trash". They do not know how to control these new abilities, and there is only so much time before their mutations completely take over. What happens when they lose control over what they do not understand and escape? When they run away and as the most wanted group of people in the country no less?

Name: Chloe Wright

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Ability/Mutation: Telekinesis

Biography: Chloe had grown up with a wealthy family: her mom, dad and two younger sisters. Her parents made her work for what she wanted after high school. She babysat for family friends and grew to like children, as she is now extremely protective over them. After graduating Chloe took a year off to work and earn money for university, hoping to become an educator.

Personality: Chloe has always tried to be optimistic, however she has moments where she fails at it miserably. She was the motherly figure in her group of friends and hates when she can't be in control of a situation. She can also be incredibly stubborn.

How she came to the facility: Chloe had been planning a road trip with a few friends of hers. They had stopped onto the shoulder of the road and Chloe had gotten out to grab something from the trunk of the car when there was an explosion from a power plant nearby. The car was knocked off the road by the impact and Chloe had hit the ground hard. The next thing she remembered was waking up with a massive headache and her ears were ringing. Her vision was blurred, but there was a mass of cars with blinking lights and people with gas masks. Someone grabbed her and the next thing she knew she was being handcuffed and thrown into a vehicle with a group of strangers.

Name: Carmen Trueman

Ability/Mutation: Invisibility (when she doesn't want to be seen)

Appearance: She has curly, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, is short (around 5ft 3ins), pretty non-descript and average in her appearance. She is someone your eyes would probably slide over in a crowd and not think about twice.

Biography: Carmen was born into a large family and now has three sister and one brother (her mother is pregnant with another boy) and though she tries hard at school, she maintains a very average grade average. She is the second eldest and often falls in the shadow of her over-achieveing older brother and cute younger siblings who take up most of her mother's time (her father is often at work, as a fire-fighter). Because of this, she often feels ignored and overlooked by her family and has tried many tricks to try and attract their attention - tantrums, playing up at school, winning awards (though she found this particular feat tricky), running away - to no avail. Before the power station exploded, she had pretty much resigned herself to remaining an average nobody her whole life, knowing she was nobody extraordinary.

Personality: She is quite introverted, shy, reserved, fairly smart (although not to the extent of her elder brother) and observant but can be passionate for what she believes in underneath; a characteristic which, because of her resignation in her current situation, has not had an oppotunity to manifest yet.

How he/she came to the facility: Carmen likes to wander around and go for hikes around the area when she argues with her mother and father (which happens a lot) to clear her head - not that her parents ever notice when she's gone - and she found herself walking a little too close to the local power station when it explodes...she fell unconscious and awoke in this strange place...

Name: Gwen Sparks

Age: 18

Ability/Manipulation: Can produce lightning/electricity from her palms and levitate (not high at all right now though)

Appearance:

Bio: Gwen was born into the 'perfect' family- one dad, one mom, and an older brother- who all were good in sports, their community, and at socializing. Gwen though, was the odd one out. She tried to excel in sports and grades and be the perfect daughter, but she was constantly looked over. She is above average in most things, but not perfect like her brother always was. One day, Gwen saw her mother and father getting into a fight (nothing unusual in their household). Her brother ran down the stairs trying to stop them and her dad ended up hitting him. Gwen, despite always being in his shadow, adored her older brother. And after that, she couldn’t take it anymore. She ran upstairs and packed a bag, slipping out the back door and running away from home.

Personality: Somewhat spoiled- is used to always being clean, having nice clothes and things. A fear of inadequacy- never feels she’s good enough for anything. She is a sweetheart and tries to be friendly to everyone. She puts a lot of trust in others, and thus gets hurt deeply anytime someone disappoints her. She is naïve at times, and part of her has always wanted to break free from her parents thumbs and be rebellious, so she has that in her as well.

How she came to the facility: While running away, Gwen was hitchhiking down a road. No one had stopped to pick her up yet, but she heard an explosion not too far away. As soon as she looked up to see where it had come from, the blast hit her and she fell into a ditch. She tried getting out but was stuck and miserable until some men in gas masks helped her out, only to throw her into a van with strangers, leaving her scared and angry.

Biography: Nothing is known about the G-Man. No one knows how he turned up at the facility or what the extent of his power is. No one even knows if he exists as numerous people have been seen blabbering to nobody while guards look on in curiosity. The truth is that he is --TRANSMISSION END
Personality: He never talks in emotion. Always in monotone. It is unknown if he has a personality or even what he is.

Biography: Kris was born into an abusive household with a deadbeat father and an alcoholic mother, so upon entering his teen years he rarely spent any time at home. He mostly enjoyed skating around the local neighborhoods with his punk friends, spraypainting, stealing, starting fights, and just causing unnecessary trouble. When he was 16 he picked up the habit of smoking cigarettes, and by 17 he moved in with one of his friends into an apartment in the city. Dropping out of high school was an easy decision for him; he hardly attended anyway. For the past few years he's been working various odd jobs to help pay the rent and keep himself from starving, while also making a hobby of photography. It distracts him from the daily misery.

Personality: Rough around the edges at times, especially when he hasn't had a cigarette for more than a few hours. He tries to be laid back and have fun, but under that he's just bitter, filled with anger and regret. His roommate gets sick of hearing Kris repeatedly say that "he wishes he could just be someone else".

How he/she came to the facility: One day, as Kris was driving home from performing yet another odd job for a little bit of money, he passed by a power plant which he hadn't seen before. Slightly intrigued, but mostly out of pure boredom, he parked his car and stepped outside to take a few pictures. But just as he pressed the button to his camera, there was an explosion.

Name: Joshua Malone

Age: 16

Gender: male

Ability/Mutation: Shifting between realities (Better known as phase shifting. Basically, he can walk through anything..kinda like a ghost) When in another reality, Joshua no longer needs things like oxygen, and food, though he can't stay shifted for more than ten minutes at a time, and he will most likely fall unconscious if he's shifted for more than a few minutes. The only thing able to touch him whilst shifted is electricity, and it effects him much more in his shifted state than normally.

Appearance:

Biography: Joshua was practically born in the ocean. He spent much of middle school and high school surfing the waves. His father was a professional surfer, going to many tournaments and the like. Joshua's mother was a bit of an odd one, though. She spent her time hunting ghosts for some reality television show. His parents didn't really watch him often, so he was left to his own devices.

Personality: Joshua used to be a daring, fun loving guy before he was captured. He never took anything seriously and would always be walking around with a big goofy smile, throwing out bad jokes left and right. Now, since he was captured, he has become extremely angry and depressed. Joshua rarely talks now, and doesn't smile. He's practically given up on life.

How he/she came to the facility: A group of guys were traveling up state, and with his parents both off on trips, Joshua sneaked away from his older sister who had been left in charge, and went with his buddies. They were messing around, playing football near a power station when one of them threw the ball too hard and it went over a barb wire fence into the station. Joshua crawled under the fence at a weak point, and went for the ball...When he heard an explosion.

He knew he should have died, being so close when everything went boom. The other guys had been killed by shrapnel, and the sheer force of the explosion..even though they were further away. Joshua had somehow shifted into another realm of reality and survived, though the force of the blast didn't hurt him, it knocked him unconscious. The next thing he knew, he was in a cell.

Name: Zack Paradyse

Gender: Male

Ability/Mutation: Wind powers. Moving air, manipulating its flow, etc. He's essentially an Air Bender.

Appearance: Lots of messy black hair, poorly maintained facial hair (no neckbeard, however). Rimless glasses. Black jacket. Generic shirts and pants. Old Converse shoes.

Biography: Zack, an only child, was born into a household that was quite well to do for the first sixteen years of his life. Then, at the same time that his parents died in a car crash, a tornado ripped through his town. Zack, with his family and many of his worldly possessions gone, and nowhere to turn to, became a homeless drifter.

Personality: Zack is introverted, and possibly neurotic. He doesn't like to talk much, but when he does, he demonstrates a measure of wisdom and intelligence.

How he came to the facility: Zack was simply walking past, on his way to nowhere, when the power plant exploded. He was almost crushed under rubble, but was surprised when the bricks flew away before they hit him, unconsciously affecting them with newfound powers. Before he could get over his surprised, he was knocked out and dragged away by two shady men in black.

Molecular Immobilization - Molecular Immobilization, more commonly referred to as freezing, is the ability to slow down molecules to the point where they move so slowly that objects and people appear completely motionless (and thus appear to be frozen in time).
Molecular Combustion - Molecular Combustion is the ability to make molecules speed up to the point that they disperse from each other and cause an explosion. The power is the advancement of Molecular Immobilization (This ability won't be gained until later).

Biography:

Jerick grew up in a normal white picket fence family. Nothing significant really happened in his life other than coming out of the closet when he was in high school. He got picked on for his sexuality, but it soon ceased when people noticed it didn't really phase him. He graduated high school in the top 10% of his class with high honors and soon attended college. In college, Jerick studies Psychology and is a part of the Gay Straight Alliance club. He's made numerous friends and from time to time, they all go out on field trips and have a good time. He lives off campus in an apartment.

Personality:

Upon meeting Jerick, you can see that he has a tendency to be very meek and shy. He can be very jumpy at times, but once you get to know him he'll open up. He's very energetic and likes to always be out doing things, especially with his friends. Because of his friends fighting all the time, he has the tendency to be mediator and will often be the one to calm people down. However over time, especially once he gets his second ability, his personality will start to change to sarcastic, witty, and cynical. Jerick also has a habit of being protective of those he cares about.

How he/she came to the facility:

Jerick and his friend were driving down the street because his friend wanted to surprise him for his 21st birthday. Once they started driving past the power plant, it exploded, toppling the car upside down. The impact immediately killed his friend but left Jerick unconscious. The last thing he remembered before blacking out was men in in plastic suits dragging out from the car.
