Survival is Key...(roleplay)

Well after a stressful month or so of moving, I'm finally settled in and everything has turned pretty normal...which means I'll be on a lot more now. A TON of my rp's just died because of my inactivity (Even though I told them I wouldn't be on as much because of the move. Apparently they weren't very patient people) and I need some new roleplays. Here is something I've been crunching out in my head.

NOTE: I consider myself between casual and advanced, I do not do free. A nice paragraph is fine, but I average 2-3. Also, I like maturity in my roleplays, if you have limits let me know and for makers sake no controlling my character please.

Kind of like the Hunger Games (from my understanding. I have never seen or read the books/movies).

This would be set in Medieval times (fantasy is optional) and the King is a sick and twisted fellow. Once a month, he sends out his soldiers to pillage the townsfolk and snatch up anyone they feel fit to become prisoners in the King's castle. Not only are they prisoners, but each Saturday there are a series of deadly fights where those imprisoned must fight each other in an open outdoor arena. It's not very often when another person dies, but it's not exactly unheard of either. The fights are deadly, and most of the time unfair. (details can be crunched out later) One day the King hears of a treasure located somewhere in the forbidden woods, but each time he sends out his soldiers to retrieve it, they never return. He decides to have a tournament with his own prisoners and the top ten will be sent out into the woods to find this buried treasure. The first one that brings it back, gets freedom.
