10 years before:
Luna turned off the engine to the huge truck, looking over at Nefarious. "Neefie we need to hurry, people are starting to raid the city already." Looking over at him, she gave him a quick kiss on the lips. She stepped out of the car, waiting for Nefarious to hurry up. They were standing in front of the big double doors to the blood bank, about to steal all the blood they could to survive on. Taking a deep breath, she got ready to encounter all that would be inside. Nefarious had his katana at his side, the black handle glistening in the light from the nearby street lamp. She could hear the screams and shouts from the people who were already raiding the city. Nefarious opened the door for her and she ran in, noticing two guards right by the doors. She could feel Nefarious right behind her, her nerves not so tense knowing he was there for her. "Miss, you need to leave. We're closed."
The man had a hand on his gun, ready to shoot if she got too close. It was dark inside the blood bank, only 2 lights on to help the men see. Her strength and speed was better in the dark. Grabbing his gun before he had a chance to react, she grinned and shot out both of the lights. It was pitch black, but she could see and hear the men tripping over one another in the dark. Snapping her fingers, her enormous pink scythe appeared in her hands. She had received the deadly weapon from a friend of hers, a fallen angel who Luna had went to see not long before. Whistling to one of the men, she left the other man to fall victim to Nefarious. Taking her scythe, she swung at the man, the edge of the blade nicking his chest. He fell to the ground in pain, screaming as blood rushed out of him. She could hear Nefarious finish off the man beside her, and she raised the scythe up, slamming it into the man on the floor.
She heard a sickening thwack as the scythe connected with his body, and she could smell the blood seeping out onto the floor. Snapping her fingers, her scythe disappeared once more. She looked over to see that Neefie had sliced the guys throat open, and she smiled. Dropping the gun on the floor, she turned to Nefarious."That just took precious time off our hands. We need to hurry. I left JuJu in the car." Grabbing the handle of the door she pulled, the door coming off its hinges. Stepping into a long dark hallway, Luna noticed a vault down the long hall on the right. She stopped and listened for anyone in the back, and heard four people in the very back, most likely doctors who worked there. She put a finger to her lips, signing for Nefarious to be quiet. The four doctors walked around the corner towards them as her scythe appeared once more. Luna raised it up and threw it at them, the blade cutting all four of them in half mid stride. The scythe again disappeared and she ran toward the vault.
She listened for the clicking of the lock as she opened the vault, making sure to get it just right. Once she had opened it she peeked her head in, not a soul in the cold bank. She grabbed three cartons on her own, running back to the truck to put them in the back. Her and Nefarious each took turns going back and forth to the truck. It took them no time at all, and she grabbed his hand and ran, pulling him along to the front doors. She grabbed the keys out of her pocket, pushing Nefarious into the cab of the truck. She put the keys in the engine, and turned her hand, the engine roaring to life. She smiled and took her fabric out, tying a bow to the steering wheel. "We need to stop home and get some things to sleep on as well as a change of clothes. She stepped on the gas as she saw a man with a shovel run up the the truck, the truck rolling over the man.
Once they left their home, Luna and Neefie drove to the cave, located high up on the mountains. She rolled the truck into the giant cave and turned off the engine. Turning her body, she looked over at Nefarious. They had been together for over 4,000 years, watching the world fly by as they embraced it. She took his face in her hands and kissed him, his lips soft and warm. Looking into his eyes, she smiled. "Let's go to sleep Neefie. Who knows what's about to happen."
10 years later:
Luna woke up, her head resting on Nefarious's chest. She blinked a couple of times, wishing to go back to sleep. She raised her eyes to Neefie's face, noticing that he was still asleep. He had flawless facial features, his long eye lashes resting on the top of his cheeks. He was remarkably handsome, and she felt a twinge of pride that she was with him. She looked down at his bare chest, running her fingers over the scars that were all over his body. Luna laid there for a while, listening to the sound of his deep breathing. She decided to get dressed before he woke up.She stood, being careful not to disturb him. Walking towards the entrance of the cave, she grabbed her dress out of the rusty truck and went outside.
The air was clear, the skies a dull gray. For 10 years, the clouds had covered the sky, the sun blocked by the clouds. It was light out, only a couple pure rays of sunlight parting through the clouds. Taking a deep breath in, she walked towards the small pond near the entrance of the cave. She washed herself, noticing how torn her clothes she wore were. She shook her dress out, dust flying off of it. It was the only dress she owned that was not torn, and it was by far her favorite. Slipping the dress on, she sat herself on a boulder close by and slipped on her ripped stockings and boots, brushing her hair out with her hands. She ripped a piece of fabric off with her teeth off the role she had taken from home, tying her hair into pig tails.
She got up, her legs still unsteady from sleeping. Her head was fuzzy, reminding her that she would have to wake up Nefarious up soon before they became too weak. She walked up towards him and sat on the floor of the cave, watching him sleep. She smiled and shook him a bit, noticing him open his eyes slightly. She got up and went to the truck, taking out two packets of blood for herself and Neefie. She threw his on him and bit hers open. "Eat up Neefie. You don't want to get sick." Sucking the blood from the packet, she sat down and watched Nefarious.
Dahlia De la Croix:
Dahlia arrived in Lochmere the night before, not making the same mistake a couple of vampires did days before. They were fools, miscalculating when exactly the sun would rise. She laughed an evil laugh, opening the window of the castle. The window had stained glass, obviously made from one of the countless human slaves that lived in Lochmere. Sliding her arm out, she put her hand in a a patch of sunlight, wincing as the sun hit her hand and started to burn her skin. Only when the pain was too unbearable did she slide her arm back inside, inspecting her arm. On occasions she would do this to herself, reminding herself how evil she really was. Turning around, she noticed a group of workers slacking off. Walking up to the group, she picked an older man up by the throat, watching the horror plastered on the groups faces. "You guys are slacking off? Well, let me show you what I do with slackers." Grabbing the mans head with her hands, she twisted, his neck breaking instantly. Throwing the man to one of the other vampires, she ordered him to take the dead man to her room where she would feed after the meeting. Looking at the now scared group of humans, she grinned, her fangs exposed and her soul quivering in the delight of her evilness. "The next person to slack off will be tortured before I kill them." The group flew into their work, sneaking glances at Dahlia. Laughing, she walked slowly back to the window. A man walked up to her, a vampire at most but obviously not a pure blood. She raised her head to let him know he had her attention but made no move to look at him, continuing to stare out the window. "Ma'am, the meeting will be held in the conference room shortly." She shook her head, continuing to stare out the window. She had been met at the door the previous night by one of the lords minions, a disgusting human that had no will to run, a poor pitiful creature that was enslaved by the lord. She only knew of him as Lord Darkhart, having never met him before. This would be their first meeting since the war, a sign that the vampires were in control for now.
She decided to head back to her room, wanting to feed before she went to the meeting. She found her room fairly fast, and saw the dead man lying on the floor near her bed. "They got my food all dirty." She tsked as she picked him up and bit into him. She drank him dry, the smooth blood rushing down her throat in a wave. Her stomach quivered, savoring the flavor and warmth. She had not eaten since the night before, ensuring that she would have enough time to get to the castle before the sun rose. She dropped the man onto the floor, the sound of his bones breaking. She snapped her fingers and looked towards the door. Her slave rushed in, stopping a couple of feet in front of her. He had decent size muscles, handsome with a full thick black head of hair.
"Take this away. Dispose of it and go back to the slave quarters." The man nodded and dragged the dead man away, scuffling across the stone floor. She studied the room, which just like the rest of the castle was. Dark and dull, the room not having much color to it. She decided to head to the conference room early, not wanting to be late. She walked down a hallway, lit by torches. She heard voices from one of the rooms and assumed it was the conference room. Walking in, Dahlia noticed a tall man with long black hair with ice blue eyes, sitting in a gothic throne with women surrounding him. He had the beauty that not many possessed, that of a greek god. Dahlia was one of those few types of beauty that hit you when you first saw it, and she smirked to herself as she took a seat in one of the chairs seated at the table. She had no interest in knowing his full name, but thought of how delicious he would be in her bed. Laughing to herself, she looked up at the wall, filled with books everywhere.
The women surrounding Lord Darkhart had no expression, their eyes glazed over in a look that could only be a trance. She laughed knowing full well that she could do that to any human she wanted. She loved to see the humans with emotions, her inner evil consuming the terror that she inflicted on so many people. She saw the man eyeing her, most likely undressing her with his eyes. She could tell that this man reveled in the flesh, but he was also a man that would use you and destroy everything you had. She smiled viciously, knowing full well that they'd both favor each other more than the other pure bloods, sharing the same views. Snorting, she sat back and waited for the rest of the vampires to arrive.
