    Naruto: Reclamation

    OOC

Their leader on his death bed, the five councilors clear the room, allowing the great man to spend his last moments with his son. The man's eyes are clouded over, cataracts having quickly eaten away his sight. Yet still, the dying father turns to his son, who stands over his deathbed with a look of deep worry in his eyes, and a sad frown on his face. "Y-you can't mean it father, you cannot leave us...leave me here to lead in your stead," he was only twenty two, still quite young, and far too inexperienced to lead. There was sadness and anxiety in his voice, but above all else was the fear. The fear of his father's dying, of being alone, and of a responsibility far too great for him to carry.

Yet, his father smiled and spoke "I trust that you will fair far better than you believe. Y-you are of the [insert clan-name here] afterall and you are not weak. You have b-been given many gifts, and this will be my final one to you. Come here son," he leaned in, his ear close to his father's face as he listened closely. He could feel how shallow his father's breath was, and the faint beating of his heart beginning to slow. Then he whispered seven words into his ear and slumped down into the bed, his breathing stopping and his hand loosening its grip on its son's own.

The son bowed his head and turned away from the body of his father, for that is all it was now, though there was one more ritual to be carried out, and it would not be without pain....

    Two years Later...

    Kumogakure

After the betrayal and subsequent attacks Kumogakure has undergone a large overhaul to ensure those who betrayed it can not exploit their knowledge of the village. The Raikage has been pushing for expansion of power and the village has been completing missions with a ruthless effeciency to increase it's strength and influence. The refugee Uchiha have begun to aclimatise and integrate, their strength and skill as shinobi earning them respect within the village.

The Raikage remains untrusting of Hyougakure, seeing in their various factions and fractured opinions a weakness and a potential source of instability.

    Hyougakure

Despite all the recent happenings in the world Hyougakure has remained as ever, sentient. While they have begun to show some interest in the recent happenings of the world, they do not desire to enter any direct conflicts for the time being. Their village being the bastion of defence, the villagers have been able to carry on everyday as normal, a luxury which most villages do not share. However, there has been a large change within Hyougakure, being that acceptance of the Hyuuga clan into the village. Despite being generally ‘cold’ to outsiders, the Kage – Mayumi – felt it a good time to increase the villages numbers and power with the current events of the world. However, Hyougakure may not be able to enter the conflicts of the world around them, since the three princesses of Hyougakure have all began to fight over which of them would be the most fitting successor after Mayumi has stepped down from the position. Tension is at an all-time high and a civil war could break out at any moment. In spite of the recent happenings within, Hyougakure hasn’t completely forgotten the events of the outside world and tension between Hyougakure and Kumogakure is at an all-time high, the war could between the two villages could break out at any moment, although Mayumi wishes to avoid such a conflict, she will not be walked all over. If they desire a fight, she will bring them one, however for now all seems peaceful within the icy shell of the beautiful frosted village.

    Iwagakure

Iwagakure, the village hidden by rocks, a greater defence has never existed. They have stayed ever diligent and remained wary against the Qui Languidis ever since the war and attacks broke out. They have remained one of the strongest nations during this global crisis. This is all because of their never wavering Tsuchikage and leader, Fuka Hōseki. She has not once allowed the enemy on her soil and has not taken any chances with the other villages. As such she and Iwagakure itself is somewhat separated from the rest of the ninja world. The entire village of Iwagakure has been one step form marshal law at all times. Even the slightest infraction in the village leads to much suspicion and the village no longer lets travellers in without extensive background checks and the sort. Fuka herself has stopped leaving the Tsuchikage’s mansion as much for she has been far too busy planning out defenses and making sure she can keep the peace in her village all the while worrying about another one. The crime rate has been exceptionally low ever since the war broke out and because of this intruders are noticed frequently. Iwagakure has already caught five potential assassins and they’re not taking any chances. If there is anything that could be considered they’re goal as a nation it is to outlast this threat and then demolish it once it has grown weak enough to strike down.

    Shin'ōgakure

The chief headquarters of Qui Languidis, Shin'ōgakure --village hidden in mystery-- is situated a few miles from where Konohagakure originally stood and it was built in the ruins. This village is likely the smallest in population, but the best manned in comparison to each of those individual villages who stand against it. It is led by the Utsurokage, who, in recent years, due to his only recently appointed position, has taken much advice and guidance from the 5 advisors who serve below him, and the 6th who is his equal. This kage's name is Seishi Shin'ō and he has inherited quite the legacy from his father. Despite this, with assistance of the advisors, Seishi has managed to make their village one of the most dangerous forces in the world, not to mention effective.

Even in the last 2 years there have been attacks, but not on Shin'ōgakure, rather, it was they who attacked the other villages. Iwagakure, Kumogakure, Hyougakure, Sunagakure, their reputations meant nothing and they continue to diminish in their worth. While this is all true, it is rather what occurs below the surface that should be noted.

Shin'ōgakure is divided. This division is not physical, but governmental and it is between the advisors that the village is split. However, despite this split of power, the village runs with incredible efficiency. Recently, their spies have been largely focusing on the activities of Kumogakure and Hyougakure. The reason behind such is however, unknown.
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Despite these events however, there is one thing that should be known, strange chakratic emanations have begun to appear randomly and in faint intervals in all the villages. No one appears to know what they are, where they originate, or why they continue to occur. All that is known is that it is not a bad sign. It's too bad that the Hokage was killed, as the same resonation preceded his death. What tragedy does it foretell now and what ominous secret does Qui Languidis truly wish to obtain?

All will be clarified, but only with time, and the will to reclaim what has been lost.

    Are you brave enough?

Christopher Uchiha awoke with a start, his eyes shot open as the remnants of his dream fooled him into believing someone was in his room. In a flash, he felt the familiar chakra flow towards his eyes that signified the activation of his bloodline, he was upright almost a moment later, his chakra blade situated firmly on his right hand. Chris looked around, his Sharingan enhanced eyesight told him that he was the only one in the room, that the images of the satanic man with Sharingan eyes were merely dreams, nightmares, more likely.
Sighing, Chris let the chakra blade slip from his fingers and land softly on his blue-white blanket, he swept his hand through his jet-black hair, and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, as he severed the chakra flow and felt the euphoric feeling of his Sharingan flow away, like water.
Chris sighed once more, before he swung out of bed. His feet touched the cold wood floor, sending a quick jolt through his system. He stood up and made his way into the bathroom, to begin his morning routine.
It took Chris several minutes to complete his routine, brushing his teeth, a quick scrub in the tub, and getting dressed. He'd decided while he put on his cloak that today he would go out somewhere for breakfast, so bearing that in mind, Chris stepped out into the foggy morning, a characteristic that had taken him a while to get used to, ever since he and his clan had fled to Kumogakure.
Chris used his Sharingan for a few moments, to enhance his eyesight so he could pierce the cloud barrier and watch the sun rise. He assumed it was very early in the morning, as it had only just lifted itself above the horizon. Chris cut the flow to his eyes, and made his way north, half wondering if he'd woken up too early for his favorite breakfast restaurant.

    Kichiro Yuki

As light began to dawn through the thick clouds within Kumogakure, a solitary existence sat asleep on the village borders facing out into the vast landscape beyond the confines of the village. The light through the clouds slowly creeped across the land, banishing the darkness of the night. With a yawn, Kichiro stretched his arms up towards the sky and looked around sleepily. He had fallen asleep during his shift on village guard-duty, not exactly responsible. He had been posted within a small outpost just outside the main areas of the village and given the responsibility of detecting any potential invaders, of course, he had fallen asleep within the first 20 minutes of his duty, but he was quite certain nobody got in, if they did, his job was gone. In fact he had woken up a couple of times, Anybody or anything that had a high-chakra level or could be considered a threat would have been detected by him, he wasn't a Jonin for nothing.
Bored, Kichiro opened up one of the chest pockets in his Jonin vest and pulled out a deck of cards. Shuffling cards had become some type of "meditation" tool or something for him to do when he was bored, with a turn of his head form the outside world he could the sounds of Kumo slowly coming to life, people bustling in the streets, chatter, and the occasional shout. Days like these made it seem as if the village was untouched and there was never even a war in the first place. His shift would be over soon, and with a quick touch-up, Kichiro looked like he had never been asleep at all. During the day, the need for Jonin on guard duty was decreased and Chunin usually took over the border defenses, allowing the Jonin to take a break. As the Chunin came to assume his position, Kichiro waved goodbye and jumped down from his post and reentered the village area. At this point, there was nothing to do, having slept through his shift he was no longer tired, and there were no jobs within the village he could do, he would have to find something then...

Shiru Daiguro was up and ready with the rising sun, he sat at the wide sturdy desk flicking through some folders before any paper work came through. He was reviewing the Uchiha files when he scowled slightly, his eye narrowing as he flicked back a page to another profile and spread them side by side, evidently not pleased with what he saw. Pushing the two files forward he then began to flick through some more until he settled on another, thicker file. He tapped one finger on the material obscuring his lower face, thinking for a moment before he made up his mind. Throwing a kunai at the door it sunk into the wood with a solid "thunk" before it was opened by a confused looking ANBU. The masked ninja pulled the kunai out and tossed it gently back to him with a rather exasperated "you can just call out you know boss" to which he merely shrugged. "Fetch me Christopher Uchiha, he's usually up early but if not wake him" he instructed as he shuffled some more files away into a draw. The ANBU nodded and made to leave, pausing as Shiru called out after him "And I want some breakfast for the both of us when he arrives" the ANBU barely made another step before he added "Black coffee too" and then returned to the three files now spread before him. The ANBU set off quickly after relaying the order to one of the Kage's staff and soon arrived at the young jounin's house. He had just missed him it appeared and the shinobi set off after him, running to catch him up.

"Excuse me!" Chris heard someone call. He continued walking, assuming it to be someone trying to get the attention of some girl.
Man I hope Otik made some Spiced Potatoes... Thought Chris, as he continued walking, Haven't had those in a while...
"Sir!" He heard, Chris turned around, surmising that the man was looking for him.
Chris was greeted by an ANBU agent, and he got a sense of urgency by looking at him. He wore a mask that resembled some sort of fox, but with two red striped going down the left side.
"Er, is there something I can do for you, sir?" He asked, his dull tone mistaken by the Agent for Chris still waking up.
"Are you Christopher Uchiha?" The ANBU asked, Chris nodded, "The Raikage requests your presence." He said.
Chris looked at the Fox-ANBU for a moment, before he looked over his shoulder. Through the fog he could just barely make out the rim of his destination; he looked back at the ANBU, "Is it urgent?" He asked, pointing in the restaurant's general direction with his thumb, "I just woke up, and I'd like to eat." He explained, a light grin playing at his features.
"The Raikage requested you specifically, mister Uchiha." The ANBU said, "Food will be provided." He mentioned, almost as an afterthought.
Chris looked at the ANBU for a moment, contemplating his options, before he shrugged and bade the agent to lead him. The ANBU sighed thankfully, apparently assuming Chris would resist just a bit further, before he and Chris quickly made their way to the Raikage. Chris took the admittedly quick trip to take in one of his favorite features of Kumogakure: The morning smell. Nearly every morning, aside from some semi-rare Dry Season mornings, was thick with clouds and fog, and always would give the air a pleasant 'moist' scent, that Chris enjoyed most out of everything in the village, aside from the Spiced Potatoes.
It took them a few more minutes than the ANBU had been comfortable with - Chris had forced him to delay a while so he could check in on the War Orphans, and donate some of his most recent mission's earnings to them - but when they did, the ANBU lightly knocked on the door leading to the village's leader's office. After a response to enter, the ANBU reported that Chris had arrived, and a moment later, Chris was bade into the office of the most powerful man in the village.
"Good morning, Lord Raikage." Said Chris, with a respectful nod, which made some of his long black hair fall into his face. A quick swipe pushed it back, before he said, "You wanted to see me sir?" His voice was naturally deep, but Chris made a conscious effort to lighten it, and make it sound more friendly; a few men he'd fought alongside had all but told him that they would not want to be in the same room with Chris if he'd lost his temper, they said they would probably go deaf. Chris could smell the food on the way, and was only half impressed at the time it must have taken for the cooks to make it.
He's probably got Ninja Cooks... He reasoned, It'd make sense.

    Seishi Shin'ō - Zephyr
    Shin'ōgakure - Kage's Mansion - Library
    Time: Morning.

    Theme

He knew, and the others would know soon as well. He had scheduled for a meeting later that day, at midday to be specific, yes that would be a wonderful time, he thought. However, for the moment the Utsurokage and reigning leader of that which had come to be known as Qui Languidis sat in his abode's library and read. At that moment he was reading a very particular gathering of knowledge, the knowledge that had ultimately brought them together.

These scrolls were the ancient documents that included the locations of each relic fragment as well as apt, but archaic and difficult to translate, descriptions of said fragments. The one they had recovered in Konohagakure was currently under strict guard, and by strict guard it was meant that Seishi held the relic on his person at any and all times. It was necessary, and this was why he always kept his personal Operatives close by, within range, but out of sight. He still wondered exactly how they could use their fragment advantageously, its capabilities were so limited, unless they wished the same fate upon him that had befallen his father. He hoped not, but it was hard to say really. The advisors were all interesting and rather unique people. He was glad they had been so loyal to his father, and doubly glad that that loyalty had seemed to transfer over to him.

Not to mention that he had come to trust them all to an extent. Afterall, they had assisted in seasoning him for what was to come, so to speak. On that thought he rose and quickly concealed the documents in his robe sleeve as he walked towards the exit to the Library.

He made a small flick of his hand, that was the signal that told his Operatives to follow, but remain out of sight. It was not the time for him to utilize their skills, not quite yet at least, not quite yet....

Kamengeki, Seirin - Haiiro no Kaiso.
    Shin'ōgakure - Kage's Grounds - Tower of Wind
    Time: The Previous Morning.

    Ideal.

The parameters were falling into place one by one, gradually, with each slight shift in the air currents. A low chuckle found its way into these subtle currents as the Advisor of Wind turned from the open window of his office and walked back towards his desk where he placed his hand on a specialized seal. The seal would call to him one of his Operatives --Hishō, Rin-- one of his most versatile subordinates, though he only possessed two of the like.

While he waited for her arrival, his mind turned to the recent emanations. He wondered if the news had spread to the others as of yet, and if the Chief among them had something to do with it. If not him, then it could only be their young leader: Seishi Shin'ō. Shaking his head, Seirin glanced to the side, at yet another of his office's windows, he did so enjoy being situated in a tower, it allowed him to be surrounded by the lofty air currents at all times, and it was an idea position if he were miraculously attacked.

At around this time his subordinate would likely arrive, and no matter the method of such he would be seen standing behind his desk in a relaxed fashion, holding out a document for the woman. He had a mission for her to deliver to a particularly ambitious group of newer recruits. It was time that they prove themselves.

Shiru looked up to stare at Christopher, gesturing for him to sit down on the seat before the desk, once the young shinobi had sat down the door opened and food was placed before the two comprising of bacon, fried eggs, sausages and beans with a tall freshly pressed glass of orange juice each; the kage looked at the unhealthy breakfast for a minute but decided he probably deserved the treat and began to poor himself a coffee from the jug that was on a tray with milk, sugar and a pot of tea. "Now Christopher" he said, mulling the unfamiliar name over his tongue as if tasting it before continuing, "how do you feel about taking on some students?" he asked as he sipped at the mug in his hands. Before the jounin could answer he continued however, "because I have two Uchiha genin, both around fifteen who do not seem to be doing as well as they should be. Now looking at your file I see you underwent some quite... difficult training." he said, making it clear he was aware that there was more too it than that, "Now I don't want you to push them that far, but I do want you to be tough on them. I've chosen you because you will be able to train them to use their eyes better than someone from another clan and I want the next chunnin exam to show how valuable your clan is, to the world and to the village" he explained before he pushed the files of Tomi and Kaede Uchiha towards them. He began to slice up a piece of bacon and eat, ready to listen to Christopher's thoughts and answer as the kage ate his breakfast.

Chris repressed a fake smirk when the Raikage mentioned his past, a defense mechanism he'd unknowingly crafted was that whenever someone mentioned his father's brutal style of 'training', he'd laugh it off as if it was nothing, despite the exact opposite to be true. When the Kage finished, he nodded, before he paused eating to take a moment to look at the closest of the two files, one 'Tomi Uchiha'.
About sixteen years of age... 'Smooth'?... Fire type nature chakra... Learning water release? Interesting lad... Thought Chris, skimming the top of the document, before he looked at an image of the kid. Hm... Looks familiar, but I don't quite know most of the kids these days, wonder if He knew his father. He thought, before he took a quick moment to look at the other Genin's file, not wanting to waste the Raikage's time.
Kaede Uchiha... Female... Fifteen Years... Fire chakra... For a split second he looked at the Raikage, wondering if he'd chosen these two specifically, not only because of their bloodline, but because of their predisposition to fire techniques, Hm... Picture holds a certain amount of... What's the word? Irritability? Gosh, hope she's not like I was at that age. He thought, before he closed the file; he placed them in his cloak, to be read later.
"Well..." He began, "You say you want me to go tough on 'em?" The Kage nodded, "Well... You and I both know that, without a certain amount of... 'Dedication'..." He said, leaving the meaning of the word up to the Kage, "They probably wouldn't survive how I was trained... But I'm more than sure I can work something out... As to training with their bloodlines, from the files it says that they've both got a basic understanding of 'em, but it doesn't look like it's as far along as mine." He explained, "Now... I don't know what you know, but it takes more than just training to empower a Sharingan." He said, his memory briefly flashing to the day he and his father had dueled, when Sina was killed. "More than that, even if I go half as tough as my... Trainer... did on me, I'd still be putting the two through a lot. Only thing they have going for them right now is that they're moving through 'That Age', when their bodies are constantly changing, and more accepting of change." He continued, slowly becoming more blunt, "So really, it all boils down to whether or not you think they'd be able to cope with me. Not just with my training, but me, my past, and the lifestyle that will come as a result of training under a Vet, almost completely desensitized to most aspects of war and violence." He finished.

    Tomi Uchiha

With a quiet yawn, Tomi slumped off of his bed in his room and slowly opened his sleepy eyes. Another day to hone his skills, and a nice day at that. It seemed like his Genin training had lasted ages, all he wanted to do was to quickly become a Chunin. As Tomi slid open his bedroom door he found that all of his relatives had already left, his siblings on some errands and his mother on a trip. With weary eyes, Tomi glanced towards the seat at the end of the dining table, the seat where his old-man used to sit. It had been ages since the incident in Konoha, but Tomi remembered it clearly, his own father being killed in a flash without even having time to put up a fight.
Tomi slapped his forehead, no more dawdling in the past, today was the present. With a stretch, Tomi began gathering his ninja tools for the day. Being the only actual Shinobi in his family meant he was the only one in his family who knew how to fight, he also had to get his own weapons, all of his father's weapons were buried in the rubble beneath their old house. Storing away his tools, Tomi left his house and set off to find work for himself.
Walkong outside, he passed the rest of the other Uchiha residences, all families with much more accomplished shinobi than his. Tomi's father didn't even have a Sharingan, making Tomi the first in his direct family to ever get it. Tomi adjusted his foreheadnprotecter and began wandering the village, there wasnt much to do for a Genin like him these days, he didn't even have a sensei yet or a team of other Genin to work with. He wished he would have one soon because his training everyday was starting to become pointless by himself.

    (Flash Back)
Yūbi slowly opened her eyes, it was early morning. The sun was just coming up through her window. She leaned up slowly and looked around and sighed. It was the room she had lived in her whole life. Unlike the other Uchiha she sided with the organization. The Uchiha estate was mostly unscathed as the fighting was in the main hidden leaf village, although a few homes had been demolished. She slowly got up and took a bath then got dressed. She was normally a very cheerful person but lately she had felt alone. Her whole family was gone, only she remained. She knew that she wasn't going to see them for awhile and thought that keeping her old room would help make her feel slightly better, but in fact it made it worse. Even the other members of the organization lived in a different area in the land of fire, she was truly alone.

Many in the organization still didn't understand her motives for joining, in fact only three people did; herself, the Utsurokage, and one of the members of the council. Yūbi wasn't sure if her clan knew what she had done or not but hoped either way they would still welcome her. Though her actions may not have shown it she cared deeply for all of her family. She knew some had grudges against her before everything had even started because while she was younger than them some of her family were still just genin and she had already made chuunin. She left her room and went to the kitchen. She looked at all of the food she had left and sighed pulling out a single rice ball and a got a glass of water. Then she sat outside enjoying the sunrise. As she ate she thought about the other Uchiha. When she was little she remembered Chris training in the forest. She always liked watching him because he was good at everything it appeared to her (Of course being a little child around the age of seven at the time everything seems amazing when it comes to ninja). She also remembered Tomi, she only saw him a few times as he was in a lower branch but he was always nice to her. She was worried at one point that he might be upset that she passed him in the academy but she never found out. She sighed thinking about all of them and wondering how they were now, or if they were even alive.

She finished her meal and stood up slowly and took the glass back into the kitchen then leaned against the counter and stood there in thought. At around ten she grabbed her back pack and side pouch with her medical tools in it and walked out the door and walked to the edge of the estate. She had received a letter saying she was required to go to a meeting that was to start in a couple of hours. She looked back at the estate wondering when and if she would see it again. She giggled then just smiled and turned around and left for the meeting.

    (Flash Back)
Ketsuro woke up to the chirping of birds outside his open window, a few of which were actually on the ledge of the window. He leaned up and smiled holding his hand out as a bird hopped onto his hand. He chuckled happily as the bird sat there chirping and cleaning it's feathers. He slowly stood up keeping the bird on his hand and pet it with the other. He slowly walked to the kitchen and let the bird hop around on the counter. He got out some seed he always kept for the birds and put a small bowl out for the bird in the kitchen then walked out with a large bowl and filled it up with seed for the rest of the birds outside placing the bowl gently on the ground.

Ketsuro then went inside and got out some grape juice that he had made himself. He loved nature. While he was all alone he took care of plants and other creatures. They seemed to be the friendliest thing out there. He went to then cooked some eggs for himself and ate slowly enjoy the sounds of nature outside the window. When he finished he went to his room and grabbed his gear but wasn't leaving. His gear was his every day life stuff so it didn't bother him getting ready for missions either way. He jumped out his bedroom window into a tree and laid down on a good branch and enjoyed the fresh air for awhile.

Eventually a few hours later he went back inside and walked to the front door where a letter had been slid under. He picked it up and opened it. A small smirk appeared on his lips. The organization was finally sending him out hopefully, all he could hope for is he did his part. He slowly walked out the door at around eleven and slowly walked to the meeting. On the way he used the summoning jutsu to summon his best friend, Krēsla. Krēsla was a small white ferret who loved to spend time with Ketsuro even if there wasn't a mission. The two of them had a close bond. Krēsla ran up Ketsuro and laid on his shoulders. Ketsuro closed his eyes and chuckled and pet the ferret on the head while they walked together.

    (Now(For Both))
Ketsuro and Yūbi were both put in a four man cell. Ketsuro was curious why Yūbi was picked. He didn't know much about his teammates but Yūbi seemed to be somewhat nervous.
