There's the whole thrown-together-by-a-zombie-appocalypse thing. I love horror, espically when it's mixed with something else. So Ghosts, haunted buildings, aliens, etc. all would work. Spark any ideas?

I don't wanna do Zombies. That's over done. Vampires are over done too...but I still love them.

What about this:

100 years ago a man used to live in a estate with his expecting wife, but due to some strange entity in the house, he and his wife were murdered. The Entity took his soul and trapped him in the house. 100 years later, to present day, a young woman moves into the place, now remodeled and new, but he still roams there, and so does the Entity. In an attempt to save this woman he tries to communicate with her, get her to leave, but over time he begins to fall in love with her, and mourns his human emotions; knowing that once she leaves he'll never see her again.

Eventually, I guess she either dies OR she escapes and finds some way to set his soul free or give him his life back.

Twisted and wicked is good. I just never liked the movie Casper the Ghost:P Kinda be all cold, making out with a smoke cloud. Not to mention your friends would make fun of you.
