Cyborg Enforcer Unit #66: P4T3R4Z-M
Under debate (Triforian body was 19, but became cyborg 2 years ago)
Female, in case the breasts didn't tip you off.
Thanatos has a past unknown to her. If she knew it, she'd probably wish she didn't.
Initially a Triforian in a highly urban setting, her life began with a name nobody would remember anyway. Not that it was complex. Just that she was nobody. A penniless pitiful creature doomed to live off of the goodwill of others. As she grew, these became rebellious thoughts. Zed must have been the reason she lived this wretched life. She'd often stand up and publicly speak out against him, though eventually, she said one thing too many. After her final speech three years ago, the girl who would become known as Thanatos was captured by some of Zed's soldiers. She was promptly thrown into a cell with no light, sound, or anything really, and was promptly left there. Some might say that they neglected her as a prisoner. That isn't the case at all.
Their constant "forgetting" to give her food, water, or anything at all, was actually exactly what they were planning. In four days, the effects of malnutrition kicked in. In five, she was cutting her arms open so she could drink her blood in place of the water she was never given. Thirteen days into her imprisonment, she began losing her sanity. On day twenty, she was no longer capable of rational thought, let alone conversation. On day twenty-one of her imprisonment, almost out of blood and on the brink of starving to death, Zed himself entered her cell, bringing a pretty hefty meal and plenty of water.
The plan was to starve her until she went insane, then have Zed fill her stomach. By doing this, an infinite gratitude built in the would-be cyborg's heart, turning a former rebellious person into a viciously obedient follower of the very person she once hated the most. While her strength was built back up, she was given simple tasks that were still crucial to keeping an iron grip on things. When her body was good as new once more, she was given a very unique order.
Endure a ten-month surgery that would quite literally make her part-Triforian, and part-machine. Veins were replaced with wires, and one by one, her vital organs were replaced with mechanical replacements. Two years ago, this surgery finished, creating Cyborg Enforcer Unit #66, known most commonly by her codename. Thanatos; a word from an Earth language meaning death.
This was when she became a being of power and fear. Ever since she awakened as a cyborg, Thanatos has done everything Zed has told her to do, without question or fail.
Many of Thanatos's emotions were lost during her surgery. That isn't to say she lacks a personality. First and foremost, she will do whatever Zed tells her just as soon as she receives the order. Her loss of pity and remorse make her especially effective as a killing machine, which is the duty she's most proud of. She also shows a capacity for resourcefulness and imagination, noted by her use of the area around her as almost as much a weapon as her actual weapons. Thanatos boasts a natural proficiency with machines (being one herself) and is known to tinker with her wiring when she has spare time, so as to make her feel emotions she normally can't, like love, happiness, and her favorite, excitement. As a part of her vicious loyalty to Zed, she's known to strike those who speak against him, often killing them in the process.
The most deadly thing about Thanatos is her variability. Her four limbs actually have sockets at the elbow/knee for inserting any of a plethora of attachments Thanatos has stored away. Potentially, she could have four legs, or walk on sword legs while her arms act as guns. There is a fifth "slot" on her back, but due to the weight of those attachments, Thanatos can't use the back slot and another weapon without sacrificing a considerable amount of speed. A back attachment and her standard set (normal limb attachments) is fine, though.
It should also be noted that her cybernetic ears are tuned to hear far better than any regular person. However, this makes loud noises a critical weakness of hers, right up there with magnets and deep water. Magnets can screw her wiring around, changing her into a completely different person for a few minutes.
One of my first characters was a serial killer named Zed Thanatos. This is just a coincidence, though.
Initially, I'd planned for her to be a former ranger, but this was scrapped early on.
Another name considered was Nekrohart, which is also the name of a boss in an RPG I'm making.
Her favorite attachment set is depicted above. Two sword arms, and two standard legs.
Her serial number is derived from the Armenian word for war.
