It was almost 15 years now when the hyperlane war ravaged the human systems. The unstable peace between the Dairen Empire, Terran Republic and The United Front being mended very slowly over time though right now just enough for trade to be more or less completely running again between the three. The M.D.I.T stations are guarded by each faction of the native system as a part of the peace treaty and keep each faction’s independence. However since the war has ended the criminals that soared through space and did their fowl deeds are able to roam slightly more freely without the risk of running into an intense battle or a large military patrol. This also means that bounty hunters are full at work as well and a certain blue and red ship soared through the vaccum of Orion space.
The Heavenly Lady, a Dairen made ship, got closer and closer to Saxon. A bounty had been issued over there involving one of the ZebraDebras, a high ranking runner that may hold information on the infamous drug cartel and with that would most likely yield even more bounties to collect. Usual bounties are wanted alive, dead yielding considerable less Yuans.
In the large carrier ship the music “God’s gonna cut you down” By Johnny Cash boomed from an old jukebox and on the bridge the ship’s unofficial captain, Lucas Sky, nodded his head with the beat as he read a new book of his, Paradise Falls. It was old, still hardcover and the pages rather worn and yellowed but still in overall good condition. He looked away from his reading to look at a holo-monitor, checking security cameras that were strewn all over the ship except for the lavatories/showers and personal cabins which were all rather cramped. He checked the hangar where all the ships docked, the cargo bay, the garage, the common room, workshop, engine room and various hallways and rooms. The ship was rather large, designed as a sort of old tow truck/repair shop on thrusters. IT was versatile enough with good armor though was rather lacking in fire power. The ships in the hangar however made up for that. The ship was also rather cramped, all it’s space reserved for the cargo, garage and hangar, the latter being especially a priority.
Luke wore just a black t-shirt, denim jeans and was barefooted except for sandals. A shoulder holster was strapped to him and his .357 revolver was at his side. His other gear was in his own room, the largest of the cabins though it wasn't really saying much. The ship wasn't designed for comfort but Luke couldn't think of any other ship he would rather be on, not even the fanciest corvette.
