It seemed like a quiet town with nothing too interesting in it. A college in it, being considered to be quite good, a river that passes next to the town and from time to time someone famous came out of there. Except for the past week. A woman had vanished without leaving any trace, and was found dead, floating in the river, about 5 days later. It appeared like the woman was completely drained and not even a trace of blood left in her. Except for that, the doctors could not indentify the thing that killed her, which appeared to be simply the fact that she was drained. The police didn't know if they should consider this to be a murder or not, but when a man vanished at the exact same manner they started iinvestigating, and hard.
The police questioned everyone who was related to both the woman and the now missing man. It turned out that he has been missing for 3 days now, and if the pattern would be the same, then he would have 3 more days before they will find his body. They tried following a couple of leads, but those soon turned out to be dead ends.
That was what Will read in the newspaper and heard from a couple of local store owners in town. He tossed the news paper into his black Arabella de Luxe and looked around. People appeared to be mostly calm, with only a couple appearing to be worried. Those who were worried thought they could be next because they looked fairly similair to the man who was kidnapped and the woman turned out dead. He sighed, got back inside his car and drove away. Before he could start looking around he took out his notebook at flipped the pages while driving. Could it be a vampire? No, those never kept their victims alive for so long, and the report said that the woman was found only a few hours after dying.
After reaching a motel within town he parked the Arabella and went to the lobby. Using a fake id and some cash he rented a room for 3 nights, which was what he always did. If he needed to stay longer then he would pay for more after the third night. He went and entered his room. It was like all the motel rooms, having 2 beds, a small kitchen and bathroom, a tv and a small table with 2 chairs. He went back to the Arabella, took out a bag from the trunk and went back inside the room, locking both the Arabella and the room's door.
He took a couple of books out of the bag and began searching through the pages of the one that appeared to be older and much larger. Every time Will saw that there was Blood being removed from the body involved he wrote a note of it in his notebook. He stopped at the page called Djinn, as he saw it mentioning that those usually take days until the victim is dead and his body is clean from blood, as they drink it for as long as they can. He saw the way to kill them was with a silver knife covered by lamb's blood. So if it is a Djinn he needs to get some lamb blood. He decided to be prepared in advance, but before he will go hunt whatever it is, and he noted a few possibilities in his notebook, he would ask people where exactly was the body found in the river.
Will had just closed the driver door of the Arabella and looked around. He was near the college and saw a few people still wandering around. Like an all you can eat place for monsters. He sighed while thinking that people should really learn to go to sleep early, took out a small piece of cloth covering something from the back seat and placed it in his pocket. He also took out a gun and hid it on him, just to be on the safe side he runs into any demons. Locking the Arabella, he began to walk toward the river nearby and after a few moments he reached it. Looking at it, he could clearly see where the body had stopped. while the police, most likely, did a fair job covering the spot, it was a poor job when it comes to someone who is used to seeing crime scenes and things like that. Not to mention the dirt looked fairly dry compared to the rest, which was very wet. Any unskilled eye would easily not spot this, as it was also covered with plenty of wet leaves.
He looked to his sides. Seeing a nearby street that was standing just on the edge of the river, he wondered how can they avoid being flooded at winters and walked a bit closer to the street before spotting the sewers beneath them. Sewers with a way in. Before continuing he went back to the Arabella, took out a bag with a few tools from the trunk and locked it once again and then went to the sewer entrance. It was quite smelly and wet, but it was also a good place to hide where no one would think to look. Plus it was a very solluted place. No visitors or anything. He slowly went inside and took out from his bag a flashlight. For now he could still see because of the moonlight, and before he needed to lit up the sewers and reveal his locations he had found something interesting.
A door in the middle of the sewers that had no handle. Will slowly opened it, using the tip of the fingers to pull it out. He heard some footsteps and instantly stopped opening the door. He then continued to hear them so under the noise he slowly opened the door, though that was making a bit of noise. As he entered he saw a couple of candles were lighting up the room and not only a man tied up and looking like he has nearly no blood left, but a woman too. The woman still looked fine, and she was fairly young as well. A moment later he found his monster, as that came to check on the blood coming out of his victims and tasting it.
It was a Djinn, covered with it's tattoos and blue eyes. It looked at the woman and licked its lips "Well... You have quite the wish, don't you? Let keep it going. You might last even longer than the others." It said, and was about to drink a bit of blood when Will quickly stabbed him in the chest with a silver knife covered in lamb's blood, and the Djinn fell down to the floor, dead. Will quickly untied both of the people and pulled the needles from their arms, covered their wounds quickly, making sure it stays. He then picked up the man and left, running and eventually reaching the edge. He ran, placed him next to the entrance of a house and knocked on the door 3 times before running away. A few moments later he heard a shout of a woman, and several minutes later the sirens of the ambulances and police arriving.
Will went back to the room in the sewers and looked at the woman. She seemed a bit familiar, and then it hit him. He saw her watching him yesterday, when he arrived. He wasn't sure if she needed any serious medical attention, so he picked her up as well and started carrying her toward the exit. After a few minutes he arrived at the place where the police and another ambulance were waiting. The medics quickly came to see her situation, but after a few minutes said that she was in a good condition. They still wanted to take her to the hospital, so Will gave her to them and vanished a moment later, running as everyone looked at the ambulace.

A few miles outside of Castres
Will stoped the Arabella near a fairly open and deserted field, about 10 miles from town. He opened the door to the back seat, took out a bag with the Djinn's body in it and then tossed it, then went and threw a few pieces of wood on the body. He lit a smoke and enjoyed it for a couple of minutes, before walking back to the Arabella, took out a can of oil from the trunk and spilled a bit on the body and logs. He then tossed the smoke at the body, with instantly lit up like a very bright star in the middle of the night. He went back to the Arabella, got inside it and then made a u turn, going back in the direction of the town. He still had one last thing to take care of before leaving.
Will was sleeping next to the woman's bed in the hospital. He had been there for about 6 hours, after making sure no one would find the Djinn's body by burning it a few miles away from town. He opened his eyes, showing he wasn't truly asleep and then closed them back upon seeing she was still resting. Let's see... I'll do the usual. Give her my number, make up a story, tell her that she finds anything strange then to call me and then leave. I need to remember to call James and Silly before i leave, otherwise i won't have time to call them for a while, seeing as i need to reach all the way to Venice next. I wonder how long till she wakes up, because if she will become a sleeping beauty then i'll need to leave her without giving her the routine. Hate doing that. He thought to himself.
