"Attacks on the border town have been more frequent as of late, something seems to be stirring up the Grimm."
The headmistress of Beacon Academy sighed and put her cup of coffee down on the table, spread out between her and a dark figure wearing a wide brimmed hat was a map of Vale, depicted on it was the movements of Grimm. Their attention was on the red circles drawn around several towns that bordered the kingdom. The dark figure spoke
"It is strange to see them being so active, usually the Grimm stay out of Vale because of the hunters. I have had teams go and investigate but they seem to be regular Grimm attacks, just common rabble such as Ursa and Beowolves."
"Well it is not uncommon for one or two attacks to happen in the month, The Hunters stationed out there can handle that but with the increased frequency of attacks the teams have not been able to keep up. Their must be something stirring the Grimm."
The headmistress took a sip of her coffee and walked back to her desk, sitting down in the tall red chair behind it she set her coffee down and folded her hands on her lap in thought.
"Kayvaan how many active teams can you spare?"
She asked the dark figure who stepped into the light of the lamp on her desk showing his tanned features and long brown hair that hung out from under his hat.
"Six teams ma'am, the others are working with the police to track down cells of the Fauna radical organization Spectrum."
"Ah yes, you reminded me of that, I am going to have to take measures to make sure our Fauna students are not harassed by other students during their time in Beacon, but back on the original topic. I need you to take those six teams, send one to each location their was a recent attacks and have them look for nearby packs of Grimm, see if their has been anything done to their nest, their has to be something causing them to move in on the towns."
"Anything else ma'am?"
he added, the headmistress just shook her head letting the huntsman turn and leave to do as she had requested.
The mountains passed below the airship as it floated above them, the engines carrying it and it's passengers to Beacon Academy, the fighting school the trained new huntsman and huntresses to defend Vale. On board was the new semesters Cadets, new students to join the ranks of Beacon and become fully fledged Hunters.
The Intercom pinged, drawing everyone's attention to the holo screen as a spokes woman appeared in the place of the shoe commercial that was just on,
"Hello and welcome to Beacon, you are among a privileged few who have received the honor of attending this prestigious academy. Each of you have displayed the courage to become future Hunters and here you will receive the knowledge and the training to become peacekeepers of this world."
The screen fades and out the window Beacon can be seen coming into view, sitting at the top of a ocean cliff side boats can be seen entering and leaving the port while other airships dock and fly away at the top of the cliff.
There was a sudden rush of people as they moved to the windows of the airship to see the school, poor Azure got caught up in the press of bodies, squished between two people who strained to see outside and get a glimpse of Beacon.
"Arrgh hey! Someone standing here!"
She gasped, pushing her way out between them and popping out, stumbling a few steps. Finally free and able to move about she turned around and moved to find a spot to look out the window, elbowing into the crowd she got to the window and pressed her nose to the glass, her purple eyes lighting up behind her green tinted glasses.
"Oh! it is so much bigger than I imagined!"
she exclaimed excitedly to no in particular, she could not wait to get off the airship and see the campus, maybe start meeting new people and see who she would be teamed with. She had a goal of becoming the first hunter in her family and now she was so close to seeing that dream come true!
