A Series Of Amusing Shorts:
Happening as they feel like.
1: He was supposed to be the logical FBI technician, but when she approached him claiming to be a god who will follow his every whim, he keeps her around just long enough to learn that she isn't insane. And that is where he slips outside his reserved suit, and decides that, with such a gift given to him, he might as well have a little fun.
2: He was a physician in WWI, and he tried to convince himself that he was only imagining the man who came into his tent every day with a different injury. But eventually he confronts him, this impossible soldier, and learns that he is real, trying to fight honestly, despite the fact that his wounds heal so fast that no bullet will ever leave him for dead. But what the physician chooses to do with this knowledge is his own boon. He may save the man, help him hide in a world that looks for any way to win. Or he may tell the commander, who would use this secret "ace in the hole" however he can against the enemy, no matter the moral cost.
3: Five giant elemental anomalies (one for earth, air, fire, water and lightning) suddenly appeared in the world. The damage they caused aside, rumor has it that at the heart of them are magical artifacts with enough latent power that even a single shard of them could be worth a fortune. That's where they came in: a team of adventurers setting off to get to the center of an anomaly, find out what is causing it, shut it down, and hopefully make their fortune with what ever artifacts they find.
4: Two members of a mercenary and assassin guild are sent on a seemingly simple mission to protect the cargo of a transport ship. What they don't know is that they have been set up, and a bomb has been rigged within the ship. But rather than killing them, the bomb awakens hidden powers within them. Now there is nothing to stop them from tearing down the organization that betrayed them.
