“Although neither the Freudians nor the Jungians come right out and say it, they strongly suggest that we may have a core, a single basic carrier wave, or-to use language with which Jordan is comfortable-a single line of written code which cannot be stripped.'
'The PD,' Jordan said. 'The prime directive'.
'Yes,' the Head agreed. 'At bottom, you see, we are not Homo sapiens at all. Our core is madness. The prime directive is murder. What Darwin was too polite to say, my friends, is that we came to rule the earth not because we were the smartest, or even the meanest, but because we have always been the craziest, most murderous motherfuckers in the jungle.” -Stephen King, Cell.
This RP will be an alternate version of Stephen King's book. An event, "the Pulse", hits the world and throws it into mayhem. Everyone using a mobile phone at the time (or afterwards) is affected. Their minds are "reset" essentially turning them into mindless zombies. The majority of them attack each other and the normal people left behind, slaughtering them in droves. The streets aren't a safe place to wander and locking yourself up in a secure house might be the one thing that keeps you alive, at least in the beginning. It will begin on the day of The Pulse and will follow our characters as they survive the initial outbreak and then attempt to survive the world that follows.
Ok, boring stuff.
1: Don't take the piss when you make your CS. Read it over before you post and if you think a skill or ability might be too much... Delete that shit or edit it out/tone it down.
2: No OOC fighting. Absolutely none of that. This is the only warning I'm going to give.
3: No god-modding/powerplay.
4: You may make as many characters as you can handle, but I'll need you post at very least a paragraph per character.
5: Romance is fine, but if things start to get, shall we say 'mature', fade to black.
6: Swearing is fine.
7: This is an RP set in a world created by Stephen King. There will be gratuitous violence and gore. If you have a problem with that, just move along, nothing for you here.
8: Have fun.
