So this is kind of an idea I've had. It would basically an RP done in a RPG style, such as having stats, skills, level ups, those sort of things. It would parody video game tropes and cliches, especially RPG ones. I pretty much already have the story and character sheet ready, but I just wanted to see if there was any interest for this kind of RP first.
EDIT: Here's some more information.
Alright, it looks like there's some interest for this. Here's what the character skeleton looks like. I also added in where the RP will take place, as well as some towns and cities. As a reference, Indolon is the name of the island-country where all of this is, with a modern setting set in 1990s, kind of like Earthbound.
Username: (Your username.)
Name: (Your character's name.)
Gender: (Male or female.)
Age: (Your character's age.)
Equipment Preference: (What kind of armor and weapons you'll use. All weapon and armor types can be worn, but characters who equip preferential weapons and armor will be much more effective in battle. Some people can wear some special armor that is only specically for them as well.)
Abilities: (Your character's combat skills. If they use magic, be specific in the type of magic they usr
Skill Points: Offensive-?, Recovery-?, Assist-? (Distribute 20 points into these three combat roles, for how good they are in each role, up to ten per role. For example: Offensive-3, Recovery-9, Assist-8)
Stat Preferences: (There are four main stats: Offense (affects how much damage you'll do with your weapon), Defense (decreases how much damage can be done to you), Intelligence (affects how well your abilities work), and Agility (how fast you are, as well as how well you can dodge an attack). Pick one you'll major in (your best stat), and one you'll minor in (your second-best state). The other two stats will not grow as much as you become stronger. Make sure it corresponds with how your character is.)
Affinity: (Your elemental affinities. You must pick two that you're strong against, two that you're weak against, and four that you're neutral against.)
Equipment: (You can begin with your first weapon if it's plausible, and you may have some food or other minor items with you as well.)
Apperance: (Pictures are fine as long as you put some info about how they look that the picture can't describe, like height or other misc. info.)
Personality: (What is your character like?)
Bio: (Your character's past. Doesn't have to be very long, just enough to get a general idea about your character.)
The World of Indolon
Andolon Town- A small town, the pier there is it's most important part of the place. All exports and imports come through Andolon, yet it isn't a rich city. The majority of the population are fine with being small town boys and girls, it's a more relaxing life style than the hustle and bustle of the nearest city, Cinda City.
Bellum Town- Another quiet town, though it is much bigger than Andolon Town. It has some attractions, such as the small amusement park in the middle of town, as well as the famous yet mysterious stone statue with the strange text enscribed on it's slab. Many archeologists have tried to find out what they mean, though none have been successful so far.
Cinda City- A bustling city that makes all of it's profits off of the trade market that has come from Andolon. While it isn't completely unfair to say it is a bit corrupt with all the money floating around the place, it is still a decent place to live. Many make their living there, hoping to make it big after leaving their sleepy little hometowns.
Don-Don Dolon Town- It is a small happy town. Everyone is nice there, and nothing bad ever happens. Everything is kept in check, everything is perfect. To do that though, all they had to do was move out the strange old citizens who lived there first. It's ok though, now they're even happier than before with their new home. See, everyone wins!
Eyanna City- Also sometimes called the Metropolis, it is the biggest location (population wise, only third-largest in actual size) in all of Indolon. It is the Las Vegas of the Earthbound universe, with amusement at every step you take. However, this makes it also the most richest not only in money, but in crime as well. Not even the goverment is any match the mafia here, but who cares? As long as everyone abides by the rules, mostly everyone will be happy there.
Forlone Village- A small village out in the middle of nowhere. It is peaceful, away from modern society. It goes by simple rules, and simple happiness is what everyone there goes by. The village tends to fall to disaster, however. They believe it is their god punishing them whenever they do something bad.
Gong Village- Not so much a village, but more of a training grounds. Competitions are held here all the time, and people form all aorund Indolon come to watch them unfold for entertainment. The Grand Combat Championship (GCC) is to be held there in a matter of days.
Hondo City- A large snowy city, the entirety of it is based around and on top of a mountain. The architecture used is amzingly incredibly epic. Because of that, and because of the beauty of the city, many artists of all kinds come to and live there.
Ioidine Town- A very hot town near Hondo City, it is completely devoted to science. It is built around and on top of a long-dormant volcano. While it is smaller than Hondo City, it is just as spectacular. The wonders of technology has made traveling around the town quite amazing, making it different to the beauty of architecture by using a more methodical and techinical approach. Many scientists commute to and live there, who all try to learn as much about the universe as they can.
Jointed Sector- It seemed to literally spring up overnight. Not much is known about it, this Town Map unit still hasn't been able to upload much information about it as of yet.
Kong Settlement- Just some land that was seized by a mysterious group. Development has already begun.
Andolum Forest- Also sometimes called the Golden Forest, it is the route that connects Andolon Town and Bellum Town to each other. The woods aren't thick, and can be easily traversed if one were to go off the road. Mainly simple forest animals and campers live out there, though on rare occasion one could meet a Mighty Bear or two. It's gets the nickname of the Golden Forest from the sparce Honey Oak trees scattered around the woods. It is said that the harvested goldenish-hue Honey Oak Sap is very nutritous.
Blazen Prairie- A vast grassy prairie between Bellum Town and Cinda City, it is teeming with all kinds of life. Larger and more viscious creatures live out here, though shouldn't pose as such a big problem to anyone experienced in survival. Trees are scarce and water is limited, with water holes distanced apart from each other. However, a great lake is set along the trail to Cinda City.
Seething Lake- A rather large lake. It is named after an incident that happened centuries ago, it is now a tourist attraction as a large-scale water park.
