The Legendary Quest for Imuyi's Catalyst
"We've got 100 days, mates. Let's make it count."
-Redrin Lyon, Captain
The kingdom of Jalsfar has been in existence for over an eon due to its immeasurable source of magical power.. The Catalyst. Through this
precious gemstone, magic flows in and out of the kingdom, powering livelihood and needs. Those who are blessed can even develop permanent
magical powers when exposed to the Catalyst's aura at a young age!
However, what the king does not divulge to the people is that the Catalyst has a limit. A Catalyst can only provide power for a century, and should
the Catalyst expire, then eveything in the kingdom will fall. Technology, weapons, and even lives which are anchored upon magic. Therefore,
every 100 years, the king sends out 10 people to track down the sources of Catalysts which were hinted in a certain book authored by
Imuyi, a legendary tracker.
With this process, the kingdom lived on... however, never have they faced such danger as this...
As the Kingdom's fame as a powerful nation spread across the land, other factions managed to discover that the kingdom used Catalysts in order
to be strong, and as a result, the number of Catalysts dwindled until only a few remain.
The king was desperate for a solution until his scholars found an alternative. In Imuyi's last book, Eternal Vitae, there was a hidden message in the
last page. The message was about a legendary catalyst which would never expire, the Vitaes Stone. With this new lead, the king placed a huge
reward for anyone who could track down the stone, and it was only after 20 years, was it supposedly found.
According to Freyald, a scholar, the Vitaes was last seen in Locarium, a land located in the frozen domains of Ataria in the north. The successor, king
Porios, ordered a party to immediately set up for a journey to Ataria. It was at this time that the crashing news was heard.. the Catalysts are no more.
Porios realized that only the Vitaes remain, and his worry was that, other kingdoms might have discovered it already.
10 parties set out... none returned alive. On the 99th year, on the 255th day... the final group.. the final hope, set out to save Jalfas. 100 days remaining... will they be able to save their kingdom?
Imuyi, the first Scholar of YantzeSpoiler
-Imuyi Tenzin was a genius ever since from his birth. At age 7 he could already compete with the 7 Luzhi scholars of the Lofis mountains. His brilliance knew no bounds as after his 18th birthday, he realized that his home could offer little to sate his desire for knowledge, and so he traveled to the most dangerous place in existence, Ataria, the frozen wasteland. In his travels, Imuyi composed many scrolls and books which offered knowledge to anyone who read them.. they were about monsters, magic, weapons, and of course, the catalysts. No one really knows when Imuyi arrived in Ataria, but he was never heard from again. A few years later, a book was mysteriously sent to the publishers of Jalfas, a book which was considered as the last of Imuyi's writings.
This book was named as the Eternal Vitae. Many secrets were uncovered from this book, however, the author, Imuyi, was never heard or seen from again. The last page of his book contained 3 mysterious words... Lothi, Crosas, Ferer. Which means: Cold, Cave, and Dark. No one really knows what those 3 words mean.. but, no one really cares right?
"It is said that the races lived in division.. But in times like this, in Jalfas, we are united."
-Memphis, Scholar of Gunar
Elikians- Elikians are humans who belong into the upper class in Jalfas. They are supposedly the pure breeds from the very first human king, Laros. Elikians are prideful and bear a mark of their purity, a silver or white hair that shines in the sun and glows in the moon.
Alipin- Alipins are the lower class of humans. They descend from the prisoners of war. Alipins are somewhat humble and inferior, however, they have a loathing for Elikians. Alipins have common similarities when it comes to the Elikians, but, they possess golden locks of hair.
Ninden- Nindens are the middle class humans. They are the very first race which originated in this world. They have varying looks which make them unique from their counterparts.
Noctis Elves- These elves live in the southern parts of the world. They are more keen to the moonlight. Although some travel to Jalfas in order to gain magic, but some return to their land once they have attained magic. Noctis elves have darker skin color, and violet hair.
Lumos Elves- These elves live in the high mountains of Humerion. They are considered as the wisest in the land. Lumos elves are highly revered as the paradigm of justice, as they are immovable when it comes to judging. Lumos elves have golden hair, and pale skin.
Gaewyns- These anthropomorphic creatures are remnants of the past. They first appeared in Imuyi's books. Gaewyns are nomadic creatures, although some migrate to kingdoms like Jalfas. Most gaewyns live in the forests, while the hardcore ones even live in Ataria.
Other races- Orcs, Dwarves, Shades, Undead... (Although if you want your own race.. feel free to add a description at the bottom of your CS)
