Something I never got is, how people get, like, DEEPLY offended by the whole 'pray away the gay' thing. I mean, I get it, it's sort of an antiquated concept and it reflects some outdated values which aren't consistent with blah blah blah blah... You've seen this, though, right? Like you're talking to someone and you say, man, you hear about all those preschoolers in India that got poisoned by infected moonshine and died? "Yeah, it's tragic. I've had moonshine before. I don't really like it. Like that's they're whole reaction. "It sort of hurt my mouth. Do you watch Scrubs?" But you like, you mention one of these things where they try to talk someone out of being gay, or try to change your mind about I dunno, pick something. Sex change operation. Next time you're having a conversation with someone, make up a story about how your Aunt wanted to have a sex change, but like her priest or whatever talked her out of it. And you'll see it. It's like, the gloves come off. "Are you serious? THAT'S SO MESSED UP!" and they get, like red in the face, shit, they probably go home and tell their girlfriend about what a bad day they had. They're like *GASP* "Hang on. I have to tweet about this." *angry tweeting face* If you really want to have fun, pretend it's you. Like, no, you don't have to DO it, just pretend, like I do with Make-a-Wish donations. But it's TRUE, though! I feel bad for the people who, like, that's their whole job, is to be the devil's advocate..... it's weird, right, how talking about jesus is the devil's advocate? Right? Whatever. You try to talk to someone and they just go *pouty face* "THAT'S INSENSITIVE."
....that's not a euphemism for trans-gender ops, I mean, not entirely. I'm actually cutting out a fairly offensive part. That's not a euphemism either. I was kinda-sorta being a dick, but I stopped.
