Welcome to Durmstrang, Pupil!
Puritatem tenebris vincetis
Welcome to the Dark Pupils of Durmstrang's OOC thread, where all you questions, suggestions and chatting about the plot are welcomed as well as an archive for character sheets. Most of the action will be taking place in the Durmstrang Institute of Magic, and you will all start as first year, pureblood of eleven or twelve of age with a dark family history in the start of the Victorian Era. The journey will be long to graduation, so please enjoy your stay !
First come the rules that are pretty simple:
Post at least once every three days.
Use Spellcheck and good grammar.
Don't godmode, that is either do something unbelievable for your skills or control another character without their express permission.
Be up to the Casual Standard outlined in the sticky of the forum.
Listen to what I have to say, I won't abuse my power so when I say something is wrong, it is wrong.
Now, the gameplay. I want to incorporate Traits to your character, giving them advantages and disadvantages from the start, only hard work or unfortunate choice or event changing or adding to them. You will have three 'points' to use at first, with harmful traits giving points in exchange for taking hold on your character. Here is a list of basic Traits, you can always ask me to add something else and providing I find it a good idea it will be added here. Now, here goes!
Edeitic Memory: Can remember books and spells after seeing or reading them once. +3 Trait
Wealthy: You have an additional 50,000 Galleon in your trust fund. +1 Trait, can be stacked.

There you go for now, here is the CS:
Birthday: (This takes place in the start of the Victorian period, aka 1837.)
Relatives of Note:
Starting Funds: default to 70,000 can be augmented up to 220,000 or decreased to 35,000
Now, here is the premise of the RP, used in the Interest check:
Durmstrang Institute of Magic, situated in the frigid midst of Sweden and accepting only the purest and the darkest bloodlines, it is truly a school both respected and feared all around the Wizarding world. You are of course a young Dark Pureblood soon to become a member of this often Darwinian school of sorcery and have been groomed by parents, relatives and caretakers alike to be ready for that moment when you will attempt The Initiation, one of the most important event in your life, second only, for now at least, to the day where you made your first bout of accidental magic.
It is the dawn of the Victorian Period in the muggle world, and while the progress of ants do not matter to you they are getting wiser to the going on of the world, that is why you must learn to squash them before they grow into giants and squash you instead. You must grow strong, grow knowledgeable, grow Powerful if you are to claim domain over your fellow member of the Dark. That you intend to become Minister or Dark Lord matters not, only Purity, Darkness, Knowledge and Power prevails.
First, however, you must succeed in entering the esteemed Institute as a Pupil. Do you have what it takes?
Now that's all said and done, please finish your CS and post it here, once it is approved by myself you will be able to post in the IC when it come up.
