Star Wars: A New Era (IC)
OOC click here
The old era of the empire has ended and a new era has begun, what seems like a gently breeze within the galaxy would erupt into a violent hurricane, dark forces were at work in secret but they would soon come out of hiding and make themselves known, though through unfortunate events some secrets were found. With the Republic and the Jedi, the Empire and the Sith gone, anyone would be able to try and seize the galaxy for their own. Still it was the calm before the storm, a storm that people would not be prepared for, devastating the galaxy.
The skies of Mandalore were blanketed by thick dark grey clouds like a veil that shrouded the blue skies in shadows. The loud boom of thunder could be heard above, sounding as if the very skies were slamming against the clouds with no avail, only to make the loud booms as a result. The rain poured down onto the emerald colored foliage below, unrelenting as it cast downward onto it. The lush green forests of the planet were filled with diverse amounts of life, some more deadly than the Mandalorians that inhabited the planet along with them.
The three mandalorian leaders of clan Val and the people of Mandalore were being prepared, not for the processing of any crimes but for their coronation. The strongest of the two, Novoc, looked to his brother, Kadan who looked to his sister, Kreya. All three were heir to the throne after their father and mother passed, as procedure the three were stripped of their clothing and cleaned vigorously by the royal servants, though they were servants, no Mandalorian was treated less than equal, the harsh treatment of being looked down upon would only be allowed if they were an exile. After the few long hours of said preparation, the three stepped out of their palace, unclothed, the new heirs would walk shamelessly down the steps, Kreya between her brothers, their hands joined as they walked down the steps before the people of clan Val awaiting the ceremony. Three large, flat laying, grey slabs of rock faced down, the three siblings kept their hands within each others as they lay on an individual slab. There were three rods made entirely out of wood excluding the end, made of beskar, a metal capable of stopping a lightsaber if heavily fortified, the ends of the rods were placed inside of a fiery reddish orange pits, filled with burning hot, embers of the slightly molten rock. After seeing the rods, Kreya tensed up slightly, squeezing both of her siblings hands who squeezed back, ensuring they'd pull through this. As the three rods were picked up by the three zealots, it could be seen glowing an orange color, as the metal ends of the rods that had been previously twisted and twined to match the symbol of clan Val, as the hot metal touched their backs, they let out series of groans that showed the pain they were in, the burning hot sensation would linger even when the rod was taken off, only to be put on their right deltoid, after which, their burns were intricately designed, outlining the burn to display their symbols. The ceremony was at an end after the few hours that passed, the cheers of the Mandalorian people were louder than the thunder booming itself. The three retired to each individual chamber to rest for the next day that be like any other.
Aboard the Moon Treader
The air of the ship was cool and somewhat refreshing, he would lie in his bed for hours, sharpening his blades and re-calibrating his weapon, it would be an hour or so before he began his patrols. He got up and did his routine that he normally would when he was a soldier, consisting of hygiene management, dressing into his under clothing, and finally putting on his armor. Arkiel had made himself a man of mystery in the ship, by never showing his face to anyone, not even the Captain. The way he followed orders without question and executed them almost perfectly, he referred to as Lightning Bolt by his superiors in his military days because of his quick reaction time, speed, and thinking but the personnel here just called him Robot. The nicknames he didn't care about, only fulfilling his duties.
He began a short session of practice with his skills, air-fighting alone just to do so. He grabbed the weapons that he had been presented with when he got the job, the deck clearing blaster was slung on his back, being held in place by a rifle sling, his stun baton in a sheath locate on his left side on his utility belt. The stun grenade were placed in the appropriate pouches, the non lethal deck sweeper was also slung behind his back but in the middle of his back, giving his other two weapons space both weapon had their barrel pointing down for safety reasons. Simply he just looked at the riot armor, his own armor was upgraded for every possible situation so he didn't use it. Fully equipped he exited his quarters and head out, he had a bit of a difficult time navigating through the ship.
Arkiel hadn't fully grown accustomed to the Moon Treader, he was still fairly new, even if he was the chief of security. He walked among the ship, heading toward the Command Bridge to report in as he would normally to his superior. That was a bit of a habit for him even since the Republic was gone, with his armor he felt like a soldier of old, but this was a new time. His own blaster rifle was slung on his back, the barrel aimed at the ground for safety reasons as he walked to the bridge, past other personnel, people enjoying the luxury liner, and the cargo hold which didn't really stick around at all unless it was protocol to watch the area. The blaster pistols were in holsters on opposite sides of each other, the sheathe for his knife was on the right side of his chest so that it could be quickly drawn in a defense. The med bay was along the way but he saw no reason to head there. He finally gotten to the doors of the bridge which was being guarded by two men, Arkiel looked at the two.Let me pass... he said in an emotionless tone, the men sure enough move to opposite sides and allowed him to pass through the doors without question. He stopped about a four foot distance from the Captain named Antonella Rando, he just preferred recognizing her as Admiral Rando. He put up a salute and began speaking in a strong tone. "Corporal Storm reporting in for guard protocol Captain Rando, requesting permission to begin ma'am!" He said, he would do this sort of thing, being on a ship and having a superior to report to just brought him back to his days as a soldier. He never dropped his salute as he awaited her to both salute back and give a response.
Little Lady of the Night
The bridge of The Moon Treader was abuzz with the sounds of various helmsmen and women talking back and forth about guests arriving, cargo making its way into the holds and supplies making it aboard the vessel. They had just made a run from the outer rim to Kuat delivering dignitaries from some no name mining world and more tonnes of precious metals than most ships took in a standard year. It had been a long trip, and up in the command pulpit, Captain Rando stands with her hands resting on the railing as she surveys the bridge. Her eyes close for a moment as she reflects on the many years she has been running The Moon Treader across the universe. It had been a good run, and she mused that things would only get better.
Regardless of what the future held, her attention was drawn back to the present with the arrival of her security chief. Rising to her full height, the captain remained at eye level with her security chief, Arkiel. "Lower your voice, Arkiel. You are not on the battle field, you are on my bridge, so have a care with regard to the other officers." Toni took a moment to look over the armored and helmeted trooper before her. She had never liked that he hid his face, and walked the halls prepared for battle, though she was willing to indulge the veteran because of the outstanding work he did. "Hm." Turning away from the faceless trooper, Antonella folds her hands behind her back, nodding to herself as she goes on "We will be departing within the hour, so ensure the guard are ready. Perform a thorough sweep of the cargo hold, I don't want street rats and vagabonds stealing away in there AGAIN." The captain out extra emphasis on the word, as there was little more she detested than those who abused the vessel she ran. "Once you've done that, ensure our guests are comfortable, and search their rooms and persons one last time for unauthorized and illicit articles. Our itinerary is on a holocron in the usual place, should you wish to know it. Dismissed."
Toni did not bother turning around to face the security chief once she had finished giving him his orders, as his responses were always the same. She waited for him to leave before placing her hands on the railing once again. Looking down at her staff, Antonella vaults the railing, dropping down into a crouch on the bridge proper, dusting herself off as she stands up straight again. Grabbing a nearby data sheet, the captain scrolls through their list of personnel and cargo. They were still bringing aboard the last of both, and the shuttles would return to the planet's surface to pick up the late arrivals, and last minute additions. The ship was about half full, personnel wise, and she wanted to get as many aboard as she could to maximize the effectiveness of their run. She walks to the front of the bridge to look out the view screen at the spinning planet beneath them, hands folded behind her back. Letting out a soft breath she nods to herself, allowing a full smile to grace her lips. Yes, things would only get better from here.

Beauty and the Beast.
The night was warm, and a high up in the sky, Volnyn Xak flew his small star ship, headed in the direction of he family estate of Jun Mok a political leader he was sent to assassinate, normally with most other type of warriors among the League they would have a small team of warriors to pull off the assassination, but he was an A class warrior and needed no team for a mission such as this. his target, Jun Mok was loyal to the republic and was also a descendant of Mon Mothma who had been a leader in the rebellion against emperor Palpatine's galactic empire. Jun Mok was the rival to an up and coming politician called Hyn Kor, he was greedy and wanted more power than what his planet or the republic would allow, so he requested that if the League kill Jun Mok then he would swear his complete loyalty to the Dark league. before agreeing they made him swear to never talk about their agreement since they wanted to remain in the shadows. he agreed, but they warned him that if he went back on the agreement under any circumstances, they would find him and make his death as painful as possible, and no one be able to protect him.
the League had decided that in order to not bring too much attention they would send an A class warrior to pull off the assassination. and they had chosen Volnyn to do it. he was happy to recieve another assignment since it had been a couple months since his last mission, and he was excited to kill once again. now he was in his starship just high enough and slow enough to not be detected by their security. when he found the Hyn estate, he made sure to land far away so he didn't attract suspicion. the planet's terrain was made up of mostly rolling grass plains which made it hard to conceal a starship, and he couldn't have the authorities discovering his ship. once out of the ship, he used his force speed to cross the large distance between his ship and the Hyn estate at great speeds. the estate was protected by a big wall that encircled it, and Volnyn laughed inwardly at the idea of a wall stopping him from getting in the estate. he used the force to allow him jump clear over the thirty foot wall and landed stealthily on the other side. he then used his force sight to look around for the guards, the ability allowed him to see through the dark.
he spotted the guards doing their rounds, and he couldn't kill them with with his lightsaber because the weapons bright glow would attract their attention and he would be spotted. so he decided to let the guards on the outside live, it wasn't because he was scared of being killed, he could easily kill all of them, but by the time he would deal with all of the guards his target would have escaped, so he had to sneak around the guards. using his force speed he was able to cross a good distance very quickly which allowed him to sneak past the guards with great ease. when he was at the side of the politician's house. he saw an open widow fifty feet above him, and with great ease he leaped the distance and flipped straight through the winder and landed on all fours inside the great mansion. he looked around for more guards and his sight only showed one in the hall he occupied.
he sneaked towards the guard and came at him from behind. he ignited his lightsaber and the red glowing blade illuminated the dark hall. the guard heard the noise and the sound of it igniting. he spun around to see who the intruder was, and a second later his head fell from his shoulder as Volnyn decapitated him. he moved the body, not wanting to have the guards discover the body and sound the alarm. after he was done he continued on to Jun's bedroom and killed several guards along the way. he soon came to the room where the politician would be sleeping. he killed the man guarding the door and he destroyed the door lock with his lightsaber. he knew that once he did that an alarm would be sent throughout the estate and dozens of guards would be on their way soon. he kicked open the door and entered the room. huddled together in the large bed was Jun Mok and his wife. his wife began to scream in terror, and Volnyn reached out with his hand in her direction and chocked her with the force causing her to be silent. he then clenched his hand into a fist and he heard a loud snap as the woman's neck was broken.
she fell dead into her husband's lap and Jun was horrified at the sight of her body. Volnyn moved towards the politician and Jun tried begging for his life, "please, tell me what you want and i will give you it!"
Volnyn smiled and laughed evilly, "i want you dead you fool!"
he raised his lightsaber and brought it down, splitting Jun's head in half. Volnyn smiled at the sight of the dead couple, at least he had killed them while they still were together. he kept his lightsaber ignited, and within minutes several guards came through the doors and into the bedroom. Volnyn smiled, "Take your best shot!" he taunted.
the guards opened fired, and using Shien's specialty in blast deflection, he deflected all over their shots with ease. when he was done toying with them, he used force destruction and released the dark energy within him and shot it at the guards as a huge field of dark side power. the attack vaporized them upon impact and blew the door and a bit of the hall apart. he smiled, he loved using force destruction, it was so good at killing enemies and besides that, he loved his deadly sight and telekinetic attacks which he used to rip apart his enemies. he knew that these only a small fraction of guards and much more were on their way. he left the bedroom and began to run down the hall in the direction of the guards. when he spotted the first one, he used his deadly sight which channeled his hatred into his vision and the man's body began to burn and smoke. the man soon died, and Valnyn went about killing the other guards that got in his way. he was going to kill anyone who came into sight, and he loved the sight of killing these pathetic lifeforms.
Alone in a training room located inside the Jedi Temple, Gin trained. Lightsaber out. He flipped, jumped and ran in every direction of the room, bouncing off walls, swinging at imaginary enemies. There was no one to swing at with his lightsaber, but this was ideal for perfecting his skill with a lightsaber. He was perfecting the form of Araru, his favorite and preferred form of lightsaber combat. The brute force put into the attacks delivered when using this form and the constant movements of it made it an instant favorite with Gin. His master advised him not to stick with a single form, but to look into the others as well, as they all have their own advantage and weaknesses in real life combat situations. While not a master at all forms, Gin was a practitioner of the other forms of lightsaber combat, but mainly stuck with Ataru.
It was pretty early in the morning. How many others were awake? He did not know. It felt good to have a facility where Jedi can train. After living in exile for so long, it was a relief not to hide anymore. Gin saw his Order fall before, and he had now seen it rise back again. Although he wasn't the young man he was before, that didn't mean he had lost one bit of his furious fighting style which he constantly worked on. He was alone this morning. His training sessions usually involve his apprentice. Sessions that to some might seem as if they really were fighting for real. Maybe because they actually did strike each other with fists, elbows, kicks, and lightsaber hilts.
Training was over for today. The green blade of his lightsaber retreated back into its hilt. Gin kept the hilt grasped in his hand. The empty room echoed Gin's deep breaths of tiredness. Sweat dripped from the top of his head, down his chest. The hairspray that was on his head has been washed away by what could have been buckets of sweat. He clipped his weapon back into the ring on the side of his belt and bent over to pick up his shirt which he used to wipe his face clean of the sweat. He stepped out the training room shirtless. He knew what the others would think and say of him walking around the halls in this fashion, especially since his body is covered in tattoos. But his room was not too far. Well, that's what he would say.

After exiting the command bridge, Arkiel was turned to the guards and began getting them into a formation. He began to lead them away to brief them all on their tasks, his voice strong, powerful, and commanding as he spoke. He allowed the guards to check their weapons for a few minutes and instructed them to stop, he commanded a squad to check on the guests and search their rooms in sections, instructing them to look for a holocron that is missing as well as confiscate suspicious items that and other items in direct violation to the rules from the guest. The first squad getting one area to search and the second getting another section to look through. Arkiel took point and commanded the two remaining squads to follow him, he walked carefully and quietly through the cargo hold, turning on the light from his helmet and looking through the hold. If he turned on the light, he'd set whoever was inside in a frenzy, causing them to make a mad dash for the other places in the ship, getting them nowhere. He kept his ears trained for the sound of anything.
Jin was perched behind a plasteel box in the cargo hold, preparing herself quietly for capture. She'd already ditched her good looking, red coat and hidden it deep in the hold. Her hacking tool was stored in the heel of her boot. She'd strapped her weapons to her back- her black shirt was loose enough, and designed to cover the pair of knives strapped flat to her back. She'd grimed herself up a bit, rubbing her face, hands and clothing with dirt, mussing her short, boyish hair, looking generally shabby. The red goggles on her forehead could have come from pretty much anywhere, they were a standard pair and easily stolen- or replaced if it came to that. The rest was all up to her acting ability, which over the years had gone from little white lies, to fabricated stories with back up evidence. This task was somewhere between the two.
She was more in tune with mechanics than people sometimes, so when she heard the soft whoosh of the door and felt the air change, she knew it was just a matter of time before someone came in her space. There weren't quite enough hiding places in this hold, and she heard more than enough footfalls on the metal floors to be enough security for a thorough check. The best course of action didn't necessarily lead to the most optimal outcome. Sometimes a losing hand was better than no hand, as long as you still had a card up your sleeve. She knew she was going to be busted. There was no controlling or changing it, best to accept it and move onto something she could control: how she was captured, and in what condition.
She was already petite, and pickings had been a bit slim this month. She'd been on a project before stowing away on the Moon Treader, and when she was on these projects she tended to neglect food. If she were checked, her ribs would probably show under her dark skin. It was easy to look emaciated when you were 120 pounds, tops, most of the time. Add the skinniness to the soft, almost androgynous face of someone beyond childhood but lacking adulthood, and she looked, for all the universe, like a young, down on her luck orphan girl, who had no recourse but to stow away on the nearest ship for passage off her planet. Tickets were expensive and credits weren't just dropping out of the sky for kids like her.
That's exactly how she would present herself. A kid. No one suspected kids- unless they were other kids- and she'd been working off of that theory since childhood. Calmly, Jin waited for the men to catch her, readying the tears to well behind her eyes.

Only he alone would walked toward and inspect the noise, he let out a gasp that wasn't audible to anyone not near him when he looked to a small child. A dark-skinned female who seemed very thin, perhaps emaciated he thought, her face was covered in dirt, looking as if she had been living inside of the cargo hold for quite some time, her hair was short and matted. Arkiel looked to the frail child and kneels down, holding out a hand to her, sighing before he spoke. He didn't want to endanger the child but he had his orders and he had to obey them. "I need you to come with me.' he said in a soft and soothing voice, one that would be unrecognizable to himself and the other guards as he never used any tone other than the strong, powerful, and commanding one that he had always.
Jin's knee jerk reaction was to back away. She hated masks; you never knew what lay behind them. This man could be anyone. But his voice, at least, sounded non-threatening, and it wasn't like she wasn't prepped and ready to go. She kept her voice unsteady, unsure. "...a...alright... sir." She rose up and took his hand, black eyes darting around and trying to take in everything she could. She had to be always aware of her surroundings, and she really had no idea what the rest of the ship looked like. Judging by the engine noise it was probably, hopefully, impressive.
"Where are we going, sir?" She nipped her bottom lip with her teeth - nerves, it would look like, when it fact it was concentration. "Please don't throw me out... I have no where else to go." She had the tears ready and waiting like a smoke grenade, just in case she needed them.

Communications crackled in Toni's ear as the last of the shuttles came aboard, signaling that there was no more to take on. Both their passenger quota and cargo quotas had been met, and there was nothing left for them on this planet. Giving the orders, The Moon Treader began its slow turn to align itself with its next stop. Just as the intended trajectory had been reached, a security trooper radioed in that they had found a little girl in the cargo hold. Signaling for the helm officer to hold off on the jump to light speed, she places her hand to her ear. "What was that?" The trooper confirmed that a young girl had been located and was currently in custody. Antonella bit her tongue, straightening and folding her hands behind her back. There was little in the galaxy she despised more than stowaways. Giving the helm over to her first officer, Toni gives the OK for the jump to light speed as she turns on her heel and walks off the bridge. "Bring her to my quarters. I want her searched, stripped, and bound. We've been burned by these rats more than enough times to know better." The trooper chirps off his understanding, and informs Arkiel of the captain's orders. Antonella strides to her quarters below the bridge, and sits down in the comfortable chair behind her desk, letting out a soft sigh as she turns her back to the door.

Arkiel smiled from under his helmet, she seemed so afraid, he could only imagine what her home was was like, why else would she had become a stowaway. "To the Captain's Quarters, don't worry no one will throw you out." he said to her, noticing that she seemed nervous. Arkiel was informed of what the captain had said and he nodded, he had to obey his orders. He ordered his men to conduct a strip her of her clothing, within a few seconds, a belt of knives was handed to Arkiel, he shook his head, disappointed, why would this girl need a weapon in this ship, it was safe. He restrained her with cuffs and walked her out of the cargo hold, the other guards keeping a circle around the young girl to keep out watchful eyes. He took a route to the Captain's Quarters that would further ensure she wouldn't be seen by anyone. He quickly got past the halls and made his way to the captain's room, he knocked and awaited her response to allow him to come in, he held onto the girl's cuff links tightly.
