This story begins in a time where peace reigns over war. Most nations are doing well with one another, despite the drama here and there. Nothing too big to fight over. The continent we begin on is called the Falamont Isles. Though it isn’t an island anymore, it’s still known as the main trading continent in the world. Water and canals run through almost every region, boats always sailing back and forth between destinations as they take cargo and merchandise from one area to another. The money is big in trading vessels and crafts.
The only downside to this world and Falamont specifically is that the people have become so disconnected from the gods that there is almost no prayer or hope in the lands to fight against the oncoming cataclysm. As is faith, magic is also becoming scare. Hardly anyone believes it exists or ever existed before. This world has been so far away from the other realms of existence that they have shut off any belief from anything other than what they see. No stories exist anymore; no tales or myths, only remembered history. Hardly even the Books of Record hold the people’s idea of truth anymore.
What this world needs are heroes. To bring back what has been lost and forgotten, to connect the windswept ways back into the unfaithful hearts of the people of their home. War may return to the land, peace may be destroyed, but it will be brought back tenfold.
(OOC: So, I say we start from the bottom up and build character as we write. I don’t particularly care for all the character sheet trouble, but if you have one and want to use it then be my guest. You can link it in the Interest Check or OOC I’ve made. Or have yet to make.
