Hey folks! I'm Two Chimps Plus None.
I may have literally less than five posts by now, but I've been writing/Role Playing for three or four years now, so I like to think I'm not inexperienced.
Anyways, I've just got a few odd pairings I've been interested in as of late, and I'm feeling a little corny (That's with a C... Not an H.), so here's what I'm looking for.
First off, I should lay some ground rules:
I'm under eighteen. I'm not obscenely young though, but I prefer not to say how old I am, so all I'll say is I'm no younger than fifteen, so simply put, that means no overly mature stuff. ('Mature', honestly means sex. I'm fine with it, of course, because it does happen, but I fade to black. I'm also okay with violence, of pretty much any kind, it comes with the territory. ['Territory' meaning the area where I live.])
As an extension of the above, School's started up, and that takes priority. I will inform you if I have to take a leave of absence due to school.
Please don't drop the RP out of the blue. If you lose interest, fine, just tell me.
Thirdly, I'd appreciate a paragraph minimum when you post. I understand that one liners may happen, but I'm not a fan, so try to limit them. As well, please have a decent understanding of the English Language, that means grammar, usage, and mechanics. (If I see one Txt Wrd in context, I will respectfully drop the RP.)
I also quite enjoy to talk outside of the context of the RP. Be it current events, the RP itself, movies, video games, etc., I'll talk.... Just be willing to put up with my 'colorful' vocabulary, my parents were sailors, my Brother is a sailor, my grandfather was a cranky sailor, and I'm planning to be a Sailor. In other words, I was raised around the colorful dictionary. (If my parents are to be believed, my very first word was 'ass'.) And put in 'Three Chimps Without One' in your 'Play with me' post, so I know you read the Rules.
Finally, I'm a guy. I only do M/F romances. I've no problem with homosexuals, but I don't 'partake' (As a friend of mine so eloquently put it.).
I also reserve the right to edit this post and add more rules as I go on... I had to leave an old forum because idiot posters didn't like that I respectfully disagreed with how they RP'ed.
Alright, now that that's all done with, let's get the topics up.
I will edit this list as time goes on! ... But I'm picky at the moment, which explains its general lack of length and variety.
Highschool Students - 'Nerd' guy /Popular Girl (For this one, I would prefer to play the 'nerd' [Note the quotations], but I've done the popular guy before, and it was more fun than I thought.)
The Ghetto - The Straight-Arrow, lonely guy and Thuggish girl (For this one, obviously I'll be the guy, but the basic premise is that my character is stuck in a part of town that houses the lower classes of American Society [I said 'The Ghetto' for lack of a better phrase. I pride myself in the fact that I only ever lived in the Ghetto for the first six years of my life, and I don't remember a day.], a racially charged area, or a neighborhood that's close enough to the slums that the aspects of the latter's standards of living rub off on the former; and he simply wants to avoid being picked on or getting put in a gang. Your character can be whatever really, a thug who became 'like that' because she was raised around it, or simply to be accepted.)
If this one evolves into a romance, or simply goes a few posts and ends, it's alright with me, as I've used this prompt at least three times. One time the RP died through inactivity, one time it went until my character died in a gunfight, and the last it simply went only a few dozen posts or so, where our two characters met, were absolutely incompatible, didn't like each other, and wouldn't have anything to do with each other, ever again... The end.
Highschool Students - The 'Nerd' and the 'Bad Girl' (This is the last of the highschool plots, don't worry.)
(For this one, the basic premise is that the 'Bad Girl' [Again, for lack of a better... Less corny phrase.] is stuck with the 'Nerd' by the simple fact that she's skipped one too many classes, and the 'smart kids' are her only shot at not having to do summer school.)
The Pacific Rim - The Pilot and the Pilot
(With a suddenly renewed interest that may or may not have something to do with the fact that I saw the movie for the fourth time today, I'm craving a Pacific Rim RP. This is an OC Jaegar Pilot only, though, and we'll be set before the movie.)
Heroes - The Hero and the Girl
(Yeah, I understand this is probably amongst the most used plots on the site, but hear the prompt first...)
("I'm not a Superman, I'm not a Batman... I'm just a Ghost." This is a tale heard many times over. The designate high school nerd gets some set of superpowers and decides to be a Hero.
(The difference is, in this tale, our Hero is not only mortal, but his powers are as young as he is (And he's a teen, still in high school). In other words, they've yet to mature into something really scary. When our Hero discovers his powers, he doesn't decide to begin fighting crime like his favorite caped crusader, he knows better. He knows that, not only would society more than likely cast him out or reject him outright, but the Military would hunt him relentlessly to capture him and study him.
So for months he kept his secrets just that, a secret. He trained himself and learned how to use his powers, and now he subtly uses them to get back at the bullies for all the years they'd tormented him. No one knows of his powers, not his friends, not even his parents.
(One day however, as with all hero stories, his ideals and his choices changed. But unlike other stories, where it would be the death of a loved one that would serve as his call to action, it would be the death of a stranger, that he would have truly missed had he acted with his instincts and stayed home. During a robbery of a random convenience store, a single, unnamed, not too terribly important elderly individual jumped the robber and helped stop the robbery, though he took a bullet for the store owner in the process.
(Our Hero learned that moment that, if one single old man can make such a difference in someone's life, how much could he make, with his abilities, his powers?
(So he decided he'd 'appear'. But he donned not a spandex costume, or an over-the-top set of armor, he simply donned a replica ski-mask he'd bought on a whim and only ever used once. Six months have passed since then, 'The Ghost' has been mercilessly hunting down and ending crimes on his own, telekinetically written terms. Though, corny as it may sound, he doesn't kill. Brutally injure, sometimes hospitalize, yes, but he hasn't killed.
(We begin in 'The Ghost's' senior year in high school, he's established himself as a vigilante in their local city, and while his predictions have come true, and many outright reject him, most understand that his work - while almost completely past the comprehension of any Human Being - is making progress. The Government has, indeed, begun looking for him, but The Ghost is good at hiding his tracks, and it hasn't at all been easy for them.
(It's straight out of a comic book, right?
(But if there's one powered individual... Logic would dictate there would be more... But can this world, not at all used to or accommodating to heroes, survive the clash between two of them?)
(We'll work out the specifics, but the above is the basic premise.)
I know many of the RP ideas sound a little corny, and might not be the modern-fantasy I tend to do... But this is what I'm in the mood for now, so it's what I'm asking for.
We'll work out the finer details through Private Messages, which, I should add, are the only way I'll RP.
So send me a P/M or post here if you're interested.
