It was still dark when a blaring alarm went off, in a dark bedroom. Groaning softly and not wanting to get up, a hand went over to the buzzing alarm clock and hit the off button. Rising slowly from his bed, Scott sat up and put his hands in his head. The perks of being here year-round. Sighing slightly he got up from his warm bed and threw on a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. Five o'clock in the freaking morning. He made his way to the kitchen stumbling only slightly. He made himself some toast and hungrily ate it. Stumbling back to his room to his his socks and shoes. He glanced at the clock. 5;10. Most campers would still get an hour and a half of sleep. He looked over at his bed. IT was calling to him to come and sleep some more. He fought the urge and returned to the main living areas. Heading out to the stables, he grabbed his saddle and gear. Reaching the stables, he began to saddle his horse. Stroking the horses neck softly he patted it once or twice, then hopped on. Riding out of the stables, he headed up one of the trails.
The sun was barely starting to peak over the mountains when Artemis awoke. Sitting up with a terrible case of bed head, she let out a huge yawn. Slowly rising from her bed she headed toward the bathroom to get the rat's nest out of her hair and to brush her teeth. Finishing both of the task, she headed into her room and grabbed a button down shirt, and some jeans. Throwing them on and then pulling her hair into a pony tail she made her way out into the barn yard. That was the first rule of the ranch. Your horse came first. That meant eating and grooming, before breakfast. Stumbling over a random chicken every couple of feet, ARtemis finally made it to the barn. Walking over to her horses stall, she called out to him,"hey buddy!" She said words still a bit slurred from tiredness.
