"Ok Erynion. I get the hirelings, adventurers and the damned wagons", Wren said with his arms crossed, "But this lot barely looks like they've seen the outside of a city wall. That one is missing an arm." His otherwise handsome features were marred by annoyance. "You know what since we paid them upfront we keep them for the trip, but they best pull their weight." Wren turned swiftly to walk away toward the tavern. "If you need me Ery I will be having a mug for the road."
Erynion sighed, pressing his fingers to the bridge of his nose. "Sorry about Wren", Erynion spoke in an apoligetic tone. "He's a little excitable about this trip, wants to make everything perfect. I'll deal with Wren and you deal with me. Pull your weight,learn a thing or two, and come back with a few stories of your own."
The caravan sat inside its own loading area on the border of the city. Merchants had set up temporary stands, colorful flags fluttering in the air. The area was crowded with families waving goodbye to their loved ones that were going on the journey. "Ladies, Gentleman", the caravan taskmaster spoke into the megaphone. "We set off in thirty minutes. Get your loose ends tied for we set off for the legendary Fountain of Youth."
