Subtle link to the OOC: OOC Quick Link!

There was a lack of clouds today as the sun shone dazzlingly in the sky, as Corwin sat alone on the beach head, staring a little aloofly into the ocean, accompanied by only a large city behind him and a few towering palm trees. The sand was a nice tan color, and it wasn't even that hot out there. The breeze was blowing nicely, able to pick up his shoulder length blonde hair if he didn't constantly wear that black beanie all of the time. From what it seemed, it was the perfect weather for a beach day, as it always was in the Higher class districts in society, the thought of made his blood boil a bit. They were at the West Palm Beach in Florida, a small mission for the new squad of Awakening Souls, but the had sent in a few tempered ones just to make sure things go smoothly. Along with that, he had been able to successfully request certain tools and supplies for this mission, all kept neatly in the pocket dimension in his soul. The only ways in that pocket was through a magical scroll or willingness to open it himself, the scroll kept somewhere closely on his body. From reports, there were no more than G,F and D rank demons, though depending on the class and what they've been feeding on, might make them harder to put down, the F ranks even for those Tempered Souls. Demons aren't something you go head onto, and the stronger ones need entire squads even platoons to subdue. But he just dismissed those old memories back into his head, as there was something that he didn't very much like to recall. There was a flock of seagulls that passed by, flying low and picking off fish in the water before moving on and returning to their nests on the rocks.
From what he remembered, he had strictly told everyone else to come there early. Flicking open the letch on his watch, he leaned up and eyed the long pointer as it reared another minute by. It was 12 minutes behind schedule, and without much of a little chuckle he fell back onto the chair. Each squad was wild in their own way, some were psychopaths and some didn't want to even as much hurt an ant, let alone a ravaged demon. Though sometimes it was tough, he always cared for each one of them, as it was simply just the way he was raised up to be.
A smile widen as he took in the sight; he loved the beach, but there was no time for enjoyment like the right now, the rising of demons in the area was troubling, but so was the fact of his assigned "inexperienced" squad is running a little late. He decided to find and lounge around on the beach chair, near this particular white house that he too had searched. There were others that lined along the back of the beach front but he didn't find anything of interest in any of them, besides this one. There was no one in them, and that was no coincidence. Nor could any normal mortal see those things or him, as the illusion spell was set up so that all they saw of this part was a large rocky, and importantly, empty beach head, which he didn't recall ever putting up. The spell is very large and powerful, though Awakened Soul and other Demons would have no problem seeing it or the contents within. The energy lengths of which are a light gray, a usual characteristic of illusion-based spells. This specific spell had weak mind altering properties as well, and any human that stumbles too close to it would have altered memories of what happened, if they even made it back out.
But that's going to have to be explained to the rest of the squad. If they show up.
He leaned up and eyed his watch again, as another minute wasted by, then returning with a sigh.
