Interest Check, Here.
So, lets get down to it. Welcome to P.I.F, a small independent investigative firm, created two years ago, with the intent on investigating the paranormal. You can find a character sheet below, as well as anything else you need to know.
Character Sheet / Example:
Character Name: Ryan Clark
Age: Twenty Seven.
Appearance: Ryan stands roughly at average height, with a generally regular, slightly athletic build. His sharp stubble covered jaw complements his naturally chestnut brown hair, which falls just above his eyes in an almost un-kept, messy manor. He has his fathers eyes, a soft wooden brown, and his mothers button nose, with his ears being ever so slightly bigger than usual, and his eye brows a little bushy. He's known for his soft, gentle smile. Typically, he wears a pair of slightly worn grey trousers, complete with a shirt and a jacket.
Personality: Ryan is a relatively quick thinking, and likes to keep his thoughts to himself until he has reached a solid conclusion. He is understanding, and can sense the tone of a room. He isn't too optimistic, but is far from negative about things; he puts his own spin on whatever happens, and prefers to keep impartial if he can help it. Never the less, he is strong minded about what he believes in, and won't take something at face value.
History: Ryan's upbringing was relatively ordinary, verging on cliché; divorced parents, suburban home, above average grades but misunderstood, blah blah blah. It wasn't until after graduating from university, from his investigative journalism course that his father had suggested, that his life broke from the norm. Fresh out of university, broke and without work, Ryan fell to part-time, menial employment wherever he could find it. Moving into the basement of an apartment complex, his student depts. made it impossible for him to make any real money, and the current job climate made it near impossible to find any work in the media. That's when Ryan came upon an idea to make some quick cash; he discovered a few adds in the local paper of people looking for help outside of the conventional methods; people claimed to have supernatural disturbances, and thinking that he could trick these 'crazy' people into paying him to fake some work, he thought he could make some money. Fortunately, it worked for a while; he'd go to a person, promise to 'solve' their issue, fake some 'paranormal work' and get paid; simple. That is, until Ryan came face to face with a genuine case, something he hadn't believed in personally. It was relatively simple; a haunted house, possessed by the ghost of the previous owner. Ryan's world was blown open by this; he hadn't believed in the paranormal, but his views had changed. With a few others, and no other commitments, he helped form the Paranormal Investigative Firm, taking up residences in his basement apartment. Since then, he has worked with the group, helping those with genuine supernatural threats as best he can.
Role: Co-founder, and with his investigative journalistic background, he was ideal for an investigative role within the group.
Notable Cases: Ryan has but one notable case over his time, one which he stills hunts to this day; Case #23: The Slender Man. Although Ryan doesn't like to go into detail of the case, slightly over a year ago Ryan stumbled upon what seemed like a run of the mill case; people going missing in a local woods, cops coming up with nothing, not much evidence; perfect for the team. Choosing to go alone on this one, Ryan did his usual thing; interview witnesses, scout out the area, collect evidence, that kind of thing. However, it was upon visiting the place at night that the case truly took form; wandering to forests with one of the eye-witnesses and relatives to the missing persons, Ryan came upon, what others have called, The Slender Man. A tall, featureless figure with a glowing white face, Ryan and the eye-witness spent the night running through the forest, attempting to escape the pursuing creature. They made it, but since, the creature disappeared from that forest, the missing person never found, and no leads to follow. Ryan as forced to abandon the case, and ever since, has been looking for leads to close the case once and for all. The strange thing is, every now and then, he swears he sees that blank white face in the corner of his eye.
Other: Nothing as of yet.

Case #45: Apartment 114.
SpoilerHey. So, I found your add in the paper a few days ago; I don't know why, but I put off contacting you, but I can't anymore; things are getting... worse. I guess it all began a few weeks ago; our apartment complex was undergoing maintenance, so the basement and first few floors were under construction. A few days into it, and I was returning home from work late, as I always do, and it must not have been any later than two in the morning. I got to my room, locked the door, and went to bed. But... I heard something from the hall. A rattle. I went to my apartment door to investigate, but as I did, my door handle began to rattle. I was terrified, thinking someone was trying to break in. I called the cops, and when I hung up, the door stopped. But then next doors handle rattled, then the next door. I opened my door to take a peak... I can't even explain what it was. I mean, it was tall; taller than most. It's skin almost glowed in the darkness, nearly translucent. It lumbered down the hall, checking each door, before turning a corner, and presumably carrying on. The cops took a look when they got here and found nothing, and now no one believes me; they think I'm crazy! I've checked; every night the rattle returns, but I'm to scared to take another look; I think it knows I saw it, it spends longer at my door than the others... sometimes just standing outside, not even rattling, as though its waiting for me to open; I could hear its breathing. Please, I need help, and I have nowhere else to turn. Get back to me as soon as possible.
Case #46: The Women In White.
SpoilerWelcome to the Paranormal Investigative Firm. We're not available right now; please leave your message after the beep.
Oh, hey... This is the second time I've tried to call. Is this thing even for real? Anyway, you guys help people with... ghosts and stuff, right? Shit, I feel crazy just saying that. It started about a week ago; me and my family live in a three story suburban home, with a small woodland area at the back of the house. We haven't lived here long, maybe half a year? Anyway, I went downstairs to get a drink of water one evening, and that's when I saw her; some... woman in the woodland, stood still and staring at my house. It was freezing outside, so I opened my back door and shouted for her to come inside. She didn't come; she just stood their, all night, watching. I tried to ignore her and went back to bed, making sure to lock the door. The next night, same thing, only she was at the edge of my back yard this time! I told her to go away, that I was calling the cops, but nothing; she just stood their! I was too scared to go out and confront her, so I locked the door again and went back upstairs; I didn't sleep that night. But the next night... I can't- No, I need help. The next night I stayed in bed; I didn't want to go downstairs and take a look. Eventually, I got curious, and when I opened my door and moved to the stairs... she was there, at the bottom of the staircase, looking right at me! In my house! She just stared at me, not moving, just watching. That was two nights ago; last night I blocked my door, she wasn't getting in. And it worked; I stayed awake all night, sat up in bed, watching the door; she didn't come in! But then... I heard movement from my kids room; I slowly opened the door... and there she was, at the end of the hall, in the shadows and barely noticeable, but there, right as my kid came out of his room for a drink! My kid didn't notice her, but I did, and she stared at me... and then her head moved to my kid! She didn't move, but I got what she was trying to tell me. Please, my family don't believe me and wont move out, and if that's what happened last night, I don't know what'll happen tonight. Please, I'll pay for any travel costs, just get here as soon as you can; I'm scared for my family.
My names Liam, call me back as soon as you can.
