The fresh, salty air filled Terria's lungs, the ocean waves crashing up against the shore leaving a cool spray settling over her. Cerberus Shook his fur, bright eyes looking up at his trainer. "Zor! Zorua, Zor!" The small, canine like pokemon skipped about excitedly. There were wingull and taillow soaring over the harbour, squawking and chirping blissfully at the arrival of the massive ocean liner. Zorua's gaze fell on a massive Pelipper and his mouth opened in awe. He shuttered slightly and his formed changed before Terria's blue eyes. His body shifted from a musky brow-grey to a beautiful white, his fur shifted into thick tufts that eventually formed feathers and soon he had taken the form of the pelipper that soared about the deck. To the bird pokemon's surprise, Cerberus let out a strangely toned cry and began chuckling and rolling about on the wooden floorboards, tussling his newly acquired wings about.
"Oh Cerberus, you silly thing. Please try not to offend the local pokemon okay? This is a new land, a new adventure, and we don't want to start this one off being chased by a pack of wild hoot hoots or something like when we arrived at Sinnoh. Look! We're docking now, let's get going shall we?" The dark brunette lifted her bag from its spot at her feet and took off running along the side rail towards the loading ramp, Cerberus collected himself and leaped into the air, shifting back to his native form and quickly reclaimed his place at Terria's side.
As the two made their way off the magnificent cruise ship and onto firm ground they looked around happily, enjoying their new surrounding. Terria's taste for adventure was almost as strong as her drive to be great. She and her zorua Cerberus had been training and travelling together for the majority of their lives and had the same will to become masters. Terria had completed the Johto, Sinnoh, Kanto and Hoenn circuits and was looking forward to travelling throughout Pilho. Unova held a special meaning to her so she would make her way over after she mastered these lands.
Terria observed her surroundings, they stood on a white stone road way leading up to a square with a large fountain in the centre. The fountain depicted a large, mythical pokemon shooting jets of water from its jaws. The buildings and houses that lined the streets in her view were made of the same light stone, bleached and aged from the sun, and the roofs were made of bright tiles in all shade of blue and red and green. Flower boxes stood out from open windows, laundry hung in low fenced yards, the wind drawing the dampness from the fabric. As the blue eyed trainer and her mischievous zorua made their way along the pleasant street they noticed three small purloins leaping about on a doorstep, a beautiful Liepard, no doubt their mother, laying patiently in the doorway as she monitored the kittens' play. An elderly lady stepped out onto the step with a large dish of what looked to be Miltank milk and placed it before the excited pokemon. Cerberus eyed the felines, no doubt deciding whether he should take form and join in the feast. A stern, but calm glance from Terria halted his contemplations. These gentle outskirts accented the larger buildings that spouted as the city thickened. It was a gradual transition from country to city. A coast city that never lost the beach town feel. Soon they arrived in the small square, a cool breeze flowed from beyond the great fountain and the summer air lifted Terria's spirits further.
"This is going to be good Cerberus, I can tell now. The air here is so filled with life and energy, I'll bet the wild pokemon here are strong as ever. I can't wait to get started! But first, I think this is a great place for lunch. Are you hungry?" Cerberus nodded, licking his lips. He then skipped up to the side of the fountain, dipping his tail into the water to test its temperature. Terria reached for the two small pokeballs clipped to her belt and triggered the release funtion. Two jets of soothing red light protruded from the capsules and grounded on the stone before her. Not a second after the light appeared, so did a small eevee and a strong looking charmeleon.
"How do you two feel about lunch?" She smiled brightly at her two dear friends. Eevee yawned and stretched, ruffling her fur to a fluffy perfection. She looked about, inspecting the new surroundings and then proceeded to leap up onto the fountain ledge to join her self claimed guardian Cerberus. The two leaped about in excitement, nuzzling each other and chattering in a language all their own. Then Cerberus began to shutter and again and soon took the form of an elegant vaporeon, and slipped into the water of the fountain. Eevee jumped for joy and proceeded to run around the edge of the fountain, chasing the path of Cerberus.
Terria removed a bag of fresh, moist pokefood pellets from her bag and retrieved three silver bowls. Filling each, minding to put extra in for charmeleon, she lined them up on the ledge and removed a delicious salad with pecha berry dressing for herself. Charmeleon made his way over to where his trainer sat and nuzzled her side affectionately, but not before looking around to ensure no onlookers caught this momentary lapse of sternness that he normally carried. She smiled in response and lovingly stroked his red cheek. Offering him a bowl, the two sat and watched Eevee and Cerberus play, their bliss drowning any prior thoughts of hunger.
