"Emma... Emma?!" called a gentle male voice of the hallway.
Emma closed her eyes and began to cry. She was a fool for everything, including falling in love with the wrong man. How could her senses fail her? She began to wonder where she misunderstood who this man was. She was a spy for America, and him... he was a spy for another country. They, were, spying on each other! She figured it all out, who HE was! After years of following each other, she never realized he was the enemy.
Emma stood in what was her safe home. The one place she could go and not deal with the outside world and the exasperating career. She was able to think clearly with the person she called her love. He was the one who helped solved many cases, find fugitives, and understand the world from another point of view. She looked around the room she stood in and remain quite. She didn't want to know he once lover was in the bedroom.
She looked around the violet walls of all the pictures taken of them together. Each memory filled her with doubt. Did they ever mean anything to him? She stopped for a moment and realized, did he know too? Did he know they were "spying" on each other? Did he know what his actual job was, or was he as clueless as her? She looked down at the night stand closes to his side of the bed. There laid a golden picture frame with just her. Her blue eyes beamed back, with a pearl white smile and a note saying, "My love, I love you. Since the moment I met you on the plane, I knew. Love me forever, and I won't let go of your hand!".
Tears rolling even more down her rosy cheeks. She heard him give up finding her and leave through the front door. She reached out for her keys, wallet and cell phone. She was going to leave and forget the past..
By the bedroom door was another sliver frame. Both Emma and him tightly holding each other, smiling into the camera. It was there first picture together, before they fell in love. She took down the frame and began to pull the picture out. She stopped for a moment when she heard his car leaving the property. She held onto the frame as she walked to the window, facing the drive way leading out to the wilderness. When she saw his car disappear behind trees, she began to take the frame apart again. After a few seconds, she pulled the picture out and folded it up.
She sigh and stuck it in her wallet. Emma began to make her way down the hallway, everything single picture filling her mind with memories. She made it to the front door, and did not turn back to look at the house. What was the point to continue to duel on something she had to forget. She placed her hand on the cold door knob, and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and remembered:
"Miss. Mia! How wonderful to see you! Such a rebellious woman!" winked Dr. Lee. Emma smiled softly at him and nodded. "My last name does not mean I am rebellious, doctor. Simply means I am strong!" Both Emma the Doctor laughed gently.
"Emma, we have something for, your next assignment. This assignment will not be like the others." The doctor straighten his face and became stern. "This may take several years for you to accomplish." Emma nodded and continued to listen. "We need some information about a medical research going on in Europe. I cannot give you much information, nor names, but I can tell you is that it's possibly being tested for biological warfare. We need you to figure out what is being tested and who it is. Is this something you would wish to do, by yourself?"
Emma smiled and looked at the doctor for a moment. She was new to the force, and this was her first case, by herself. She wasn't sure if she was the person for the job, but she nodded softly. "I believe I can try. I hope I can be a big help to this case, but you said a few years?" She asked a bit confused.
"Yes, it could take a few years for you to figure this case out. We don't have much information, and we need as much as possible, before something happens here in the states." The doctor said polity. "I will be sending you to Germany first. I got a hit there. Someone knocked off some information about the research, but he won't speak to anyone but to one out our agents. We have set up a meeting place for him and you to meet in Germany."
Emma seemed uncomfortable with flying out of county, but she was willing to do it for the case. “When do I leave?” She replied. “Well, now.” The doctor replied.
She was taken back, but nodded. The doctor handed her a plane ticket. “You will be flying publicly. I can’t afford for something to happen to you! Please be safe my dear!” The doctor put his hand on her shoulder and smiled. “If you need anything, call me.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a violet cell phone. “Purple, your favorite. Please don’t hastate to do anything, and trust your gut.” He handed her the phone and smiled. Emma reached up and gave him a hug. “Thank you, Paul.” She released him to began her journey.
Emma sat in the over populated plane. “Well, here goes nothing.” She mumbled she herself. She looked out of the plane window and closed her eyes. ‘Please no weird person, please no weird person. I want a peaceful flight!’ she thought to herself. A few moments later, a man walked up and sat down. He didn’t look at her, nor did he look polite. He just, sat there. Emma moved around in her seat and sighed.
“I have the information. I thought it would be better to tell you now, instead of have a room full of cameras and tape recorders.” He turned to her. She became speechless.
(Please make up your own male character, name too. They are spying on each other for the same purpose (the medical research). Please state what country he is from, and lead up to them meeting on the plane. That is all I ask. There are two parts, either we can continue with both parts or lead up to Emma finding out about him. If you are confused, please let me know.)
