The grimy old man looked like he had seen better days and his weather beaten complexion did not improve from the sight that lay before him, fifteen, maybe twnety bodies lay strewn about a broken carriage, all of them charred, maimed and thorn apart by forces unseen.
"Maker Jules, are they all dead?"
The younger man who stood beside the leather skinned old soldier exclaimed as he took in the terrible sight before him.
"Aye they are Daniel, and by the most foul of means as well, magic is at work here my boy!"
The old merchant said as he spat on the ground.
"But...but uncle this was a envoy from the Chantry, who would dare attack them, why attack them...I...I..."
Jules listened to his young nephew and sigh.
"Mages did it my boy, desperate men and women who think this is the road to freedom."
Daniel got a look of terror in his young eyes.
"Mages uncle...really you do not think they are still here do you?"
The old merchant shook his head.
"No, the ones who's handiwork this slaughter is far gone, they took what they came for and left. Now come along, we can do nothing for these good people, they are with the Maker now, but we can rapport what we have seen to the Templars, this is not the first such attack I have heard of and it is about time someone did something to make the roads safe again for ordinary folks like you and me, now come along my boy there is a Templar garrison in the next town over, we can rapport this tragedy there."
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing in an RPG set in the Dragon Age world. I am going to place this game about five years before the story of Origins. The player characters will be mages and Templars from the Ferelden Circle who is out to try to stop a group of Apostates who have turned to attacking towns, chantries and traveling Templars in the name of freedom for magic users. To play in this game you should have at least some setting knowledge but whatever or not you get this from reading up on it on some wiki or if you play the games is your choice. This game will be high casual, I do not care about spelling and grammar mistakes, I make plenty of them myself since English is not my first language, but you should have the willingness to put time and effort into your posts and each one should be at least one good sized paragraph or two small ones.
If you have any questions about this RPG do not hesitate to contact me on PM or on this thread. Once I have a few interested players I will post the OOC thread.
In this RPG you can play a Circle mage, a Templar or any other character that would be likely to go after a group of apostates who is making the roads unsafe for everyone, you can have more than one character if you so wish and if you are able to give enough time and attention to more than one. I hope you will join me on this adventure and welcome to Ferelden.
