Welcome to the roleplay entitled The Temples! First of all, I'd like to thank you all for showing interest, we never would have gotten here without you. This is the OOC, where I will put notes and answer questions, and overall general discussion about this roleplay.
- Don't be a dick. We're all here to have fun, don't be rude. I'll hit that report button quite happily.
- Feel free to just chit chat about whatever in the OOC. It promotes bonding.
- Don't do anything I don't clear. I like surprise plot twists, but nothing too drastic. If you have an idea and you'd like it to be a surprise, please PM it to me and I'll say whether or not I like it. I'm an incredibly flexible GM, but please don't abuse that.
- Please let me know if you go AWOL for some reason. I don't want to have to wonder why you disappeared. If you don't post for two weeks without telling me, I'll have your character be eaten by a savage, mutant chipmunk.
- Please, please, please use spellcheck and decent grammar. I don't want to have to be mentally correcting your grammar, I want to enjoy your post. Typos are alright, we're all human, but please at least use spellcheck.
- Have fun!
Seven temples are scattered across the land, built in honor of the Seven Great Gods. The seven temples are places of peace and serenity, respected by all and home to the White Priestesses. They are the guardians of the colored crystals that dwell in the temples, magical objects that are said to be gifts to the Great Builder to keep the temples intact. Each temple is home to a crystal of a different color, colors that are attributed to the gods that the temple was built for.
Fast forward seven hundred years, and a new emperor has come to power, an emperor who hates the Seven Great Gods so much, he sends out thieves to find the crystals and take them so the temples will fall and be destroyed.
The White Priestesses have sent out a distress call, begging for someone to bring the crystals back to the temples so that the temples remain intact.
A motley crew of heroes has answered the call. And now they must travel across the land, searching far and wide for the stolen crystals before time runs out.
Any info in this section is subject to change and addition.
White Priestesses hide their faces with a mask to show everyone that they are all equal in the eyes of the Seven Great Gods, despite beauty or appearance, so her face is not visible, but her visible eyes are. Each priestess wheres a long, billowy white dress that is intricately embroidered in silver thread that portrays a myth of a priestess' choice and covers everything but her ankles, wrists, and neck.On top of the dress is usually a soft white cloak, and the hoods are usually kept up. However, their hair can be visible beneath them.
White Priestesses assigned to specific temples wear a simple sash of the color of their temple. For example, a White Priestess of the Red Temple would wear a red sash.
White Priestesses are also trained in simple healing and communication magic, nothing else. They are pacifists and refuse to get involved with wars or other conflicts, preferring to resolve things peacefully.
The Great Builder constructed the temples as shelters for the pious and devoted. It was a sanctuary for those who need it, and homes for the White Priestesses. As a reward for his noble efforts, Khaalida extended his life to allow him to finish his goal, and each god gave a gift of the Seven Stones to maintain the temples and keep them standing. They are intricately carved on the outside and inside, and some are more elaborate than others. The White Priestesses swore to protect the stones, and are deployed to each temple as a protector of them and a protector of the Great Builder's dream.
The White Temple serves as a training academy and a home base for the White Priestesses. They wear no sash. The head priestess resides here as well. The Great Builder's body is entombed here, and no stone is kept here.
The Red Temple is one of the more elaborate temples due to it being dedicated to Ula, queen of the gods, and contains the Red Stone. White Priestesses stationed here to maintain it wear a red sash. The sides of the building are carved with fire and ceilings are open to let in the sun. It is located near a volcano.
The Orange Temple is carved with wheat and pumpkins and other vegetables, and contains the Orange Stone. The White Priestesses dedicated to this temple wear orange sashes. It is located in the middle of a prairie.
The Yellow Temple is also more elaborate than others due to the importance of death, also containing the Yellow Stone. It is carved with skeletons and is much darker than most. White Priestesses from here wear a yellow sash, and is located high up in the dark, foggy mountains.
The Green Temple is nestled in the forest and is overgrown with vines and other plants. The green sashed White Priestesses leave it that way, because they figure that Tivon wanted it that way for a reason to further protect the Green Stone in the heart of his temple.
The wave beaten Blue Temple is located on a small island not far from the shore, close enough to have the waves lapping at its doorstep. The Blue Stone inside is guarded by White Priestesses in blue sashes.
The Purple Temple is located in the middle of a vineyard. It is carved with vines and grapes, and the White Priestesses wear purple sashes while guarding the Purple Stone.
The Pink Temple is set comfortably in a wide, open meadow. The temple walls are carved with flowers. The Pink Stone is protected by White Priestesses in pink sashes.

O Myuna, blessed of the sea, mistress of the endless blue
You, on whose will and mercy do sailors covet
and on which their fate is weaved.
O Myuna, lady of the waves, who's gift and bounty are enjoyed by all
Lifebringer, who's wind and waves guide thy shoal from land to land to port to port
O Myuna, lady of thunder, wielder of lighting,
Wrathful you are to wrongdoers and nay-sayers,
Under your might they drown, under your fury they burn
O Myuna, ocean dweller, guardian of the blue
Your palace of pearls and coral, so deep beneath the sea
so far from heaven yet glorious and beautiful it is
the brightest of pearls, the prettiest of corals.
O Myuna, blessed of the sea, mistress of the endless blue
Seek your guidance and protection I do
With offerings I give unto you
Shield me and guide my ship
Through the ocean blue.

Kob'Konda is the creator of the Earth, and is known to be a wicked and sinful character. She now has her own religion that hates the Seven Great Gods more than anything.
"In the beginning, Kob'Konda created the earth, seas, and sky. In the closest things possible to his perfect image, he created snakes - who did not have his wings - and six large birds with wings as grand as his own. The birds guarded the world, answering to Kob'Konda, until those birds were given the gift to create like their master. The birds created ugly, wingless creatures we call humans. The humans, as their thanks, cut Kob'Konda's wings off in his sleep, sealing him deep beneath the earth. From those wings, a seventh bird was born. The humans revered these birds as gods, and do to this day. The snakes remembered their true god, though, and these legends are naturally ingrained into the mind of any lamia - the descendants of Kob'Konda's perfect race."
