So ever since I can't walk anymore, I haven't been able to take care of my yard (I own a house). The weeds get really bad, and when one of the roommates is around, usually eventually I can guilt them into taking care of it for me, but it's just generally this big problem at my house that I can't do anything about. Anyway, I went home to visit some family a couple weeks ago, and got back in today; when I arrived home, I discovered that the entire yard has been totally cleared of all weeds, both in front (overgrown with briars, cacti, wild/exotic grasses, tumbleweeds, etc.) and the back yard (straight-up jungle). There's no sign of whodunnit, no bill to be found, no 'Oh hey, by the way, we came and cleaned up your house, you asshole' notes, no vandalism of any kind..... they didn't just cut it, they cleared away what must have been half a dozen truckloads of plant matter. I dunno, I suspect that maybe somebody caught me trying to spray chemicals from a wheelchair and took pity, or maybe somebody just got sick of avoiding my section of the sidewalk. Whatever. They came in the night and did good work, and left without a trace. YARD NINJAS. Faith in humanity +1.
