OK so I have this epic slowly plot coming together in my head but because I want to get to this asap. So I'm gonna do this is parts. Currently I only have the rough ideas of part one.
In story the RPers are airship pirates who steal and rob anything and from anyone. Basically do what pirates do. In this one the pirates end up being the savors of humanity.
The catch is I want to use every song that Abney Park ever made. 5 Albums 56 songs (counting one that's an Acoustic version of another one (Breathe Acoustic/Breathe) and two that are the vary beginning parts of two other ones.(Inside the Cage to Fight Or Flight and Chronofax to Letter Between a Little Boy & Himself as An Adult) Whew that's mouth full.)
Chapter one: The Steel Orb
Part 1: Under the Radar
SpoilerIn this Chapter the pirates are just doing what they do best. Steal n' kill... and drink. Until one day they see another British airship. Looks like one of those that carries something vary important. So naturally the pirates go after the ship.
(I'll put the next part in a spoiler so that way for some I don't tell the whole plot)
End of Chapter one.SpoilerWell the pirates are successful and grab the valuable item along with any other valuable item that's not bolted down or on fire or dead and leave.
They try to sell it but no one seems to want it. The pirates soon get the attention for about every single federation and army wanting that item. But the pirates play keep away just long enough to find out what it is.
Bit more dramatic then I wanted but hey it works.

Flying became her addiction.
Appearance: One wouldn’t think much of the stooped old man sitting in a corner of his kitchen, smoking his pipe, and peeling potatoes. A grizzled face creased with experience, younger than it appears but aged with the horrors it’s seen, and many they have been. His bum knee and scarred body testament to this. The clicking of gears and the hissing of steam the constant background as his mechanical left arm goes about it’s daily tasks, helping him prepare the meals for the crew.
He is roughly six feet tall; it is hard to tell due to stooping posture. With a deceptively strong body capable of surprising speed and strength despite age or perceived handicaps.

SpoilerName: Mister Rave N. Mad (Just Rave is fine)
Appearance:SpoilerMinus the flamethrower and glasses! He has blue eyes.
Personality: Just slightly unorthodox and incredibly talented with his hands. He enjoys making things out of other things. His specialty is weapons and sabotage to other ships.
Rank: If not a Gunner then whichever you wish to have for Rave. Or give him a special rank.
Job on ship: Whatever is appropriate for his rank, or weapons repair.
Supernatural: Nothing besides his arm, minus the flamethrower.
Back-story: Rave is one of those people where his past doesn't matter as long as he is on your side. He used to be a rich noble with way too much money but after being attacked by a band of pirates and losing his arm, Rave went out to get revenge on the pirates.
The Short Version: He finished off his attackers with ease and sold their ship for more money to fix himself up with a better arm and met Captain William before he set out towards his home.
The Long Version:SpoilerIn a mansion outside the port town Arilu at 22:16. Three years ago...
Rave sat up with a jolt. The house shook violently as he heard heavy foot steps on the roof of his 3-floor house. He jumped from his bed in silk night clothes rimmed with gold and ran towards his window.
The moon had been blocked by the unmistakable hull of an airship.
Maybe it was an accident? Rave thought to himself as he put on a thick robe and house-shoes. He grabbed a small flintlock, hiding it in a pocket of his robe, and rushed into his hallway just in-time to witness the ceiling being blown apart with high-impact explosives.
Rave skidded down the hall and drew his pistol with ease, points at the smoking hole in his house. He heard two thick thuds, then foot steps. Then a larger thud and the splintering of the floor boards.
Dust and smoke cleared and Rave could make out two burly deckhands and the bearded face of a captain. Rave couldn't believe it. The captain stepped forth and glared down at Rave, his body reeking of ale and beer.
"Ya be the gilded bandit?" the captain asked coming face to face with Rave.
Rave trembled, unsure what to do. The way the captain acted, Rave was afraid his gun would be useless against the pirate.
"Erm, boss?" one of the deckhands spoke out. "Tis can't surely be righ' a' all. De Gilded One 're surely t' ave a few guards around 'em."
The captain glared, almost annoyed at the deckhand but the thought dawned on him too. He had the wrong house.
"Well, best not let all this rich got 'ter waste! Load it up!!" He bellowed as more deckhands poured from the gap in the roof and began to comb the house for valuables. The captain turned back to Rave and drew a silver cutlass. "As fer ya... dawn won't be comin to wake ye any longer." He gave a hearty laugh and slashed his sword, the arc curving as a lead pellet embedded itself into the captain's mouth.
Rave yelled out in pain as he felt his right arm fall free, blood staining his silk night shirt and woolen robe. All his instincts kicked into high gear and Rave ran downstairs, holding his bleeding shoulder. Tears ran down his face as he broke out into the street and ran to his neighbor's house, Dr. Vinny Aryl Hopkins. Banging on the door, Vinny sees his good friend's house first then looks down and sees his bleeding friend.
Dr. Vinny takes Rave into his house and bandages up Rave's shoulder and lets him rest. By sunrise 8 hours later, Rave's mansion was burned to the ground.
"You are lucky to be alive! You are lucky to not have gone insane!" Dr. Vinny was telling Rave that morning over breakfast. "Did you sleep at all?"
"No... My house... I've lost everything... but I'm not sad..." He whispered, then he glanced at Vinny. "Tell me about getting a new arm."
Vinny dropped his half eaten dumpling and stared at him.
"You cannot possible want to go after those ingrates! They will kill you!"
"Vinny... I must do this. Then I will come back and pay you for your services."
The doctor lowered his gaze and sighed. "We could engineer you a new arm from engine parts... but getting it to work when you want it to will be difficult."
"I will do all the research if you want! I just need help assembling it, then attaching it!" Rave was standing and breathing heavily. He took a deep breath and sat down, taking a bite out of his apple.
"Fine, but it'll take awhile. And I have my office to keep track of... But if you do the research, I'll build it."
Rave smiled at his old friend. "Thank you, Vinny."
Six Months Later...
"Okay Rave, I'm all set to connect everything... How are you holding up?"
Rave sat in-front of a large mirror, holding a large knife. "I am ready..." He took a deep breath and cut into his right shoulder, reopening the wound. Rave did not shed a tear or even groan from the pain. He stood and sat on Vinny's operating table.
Hours of work went by and Vinny backed away from Rave and wiped his forehead off with his wrist.
"Well... It's attached. How do you feel?" Vinny said wiping off his hands on his apron. "I seal the wound too, so no more blood."
Rave sat up and tinkered with a few gears in his new arm's wrist. Steam shot out of the shoulder and the arm twitched.
"Vinny... You are a wonderful genius!" The arm gave a small puff and it came to life. Rave moved his fingers swiftly and tested his elbow. "Copper is so light, and strong," he muttered and tapped a small gauge on his shoulder, not even looking at it. "Self-powered steam generator. Using the same water for possible months." Rave laughed out loud and stood up.
"Rave, it's amazing! But... does this mean you are leaving to get those men?" the doctor asked, concern think in his voice.
"Yes, old friend, it does. But I need one more favor. Could you go buy me some new clothes? I'll pay you back double." Rave held out his hand as a promise.
"It'll be a gift, no payment needed." Vinny said shaking his head slowly. He went to wash off and get Rave new clothes.
An hour later and Rave was dressed in a nice suit the covered his arm, white gloves to hide his hand, and a top hat. He hugged his friend and left the house with a wave.
He first went to the bank and withdrew a hefty amount of money and put half into Vinny's bank. Then he chartered a ship to take him abroad.
Rave stepped onto the ship and felt a cold chill.
Standing at the foot of the mast was the captain that cut off Rave's arm. He grinned at his luck. Rave stepped towards the captain and stuck out his steam powered hand.
"Hello there, sir. I am the one who chartered your ship."
The captain looked as if he had aged six years instead of six months, for his face was aged greatly. The captain seemed hesitant and he took Rave's hand.
"'ello... 'ave we met b'fore?" He asked as he eyed the now bearded face of Rave.
The thought dawned on Rave that he must looked aged as well from the injury and pain he went through. That and he now had a neatly trimmed beard,
Rave decided to take advantage of the moment. "Why, no. I don't believe we have." The captain seemed convinced and led Rave to a nice room just below the deck.
Three days into the voyage, Rave made is move.
The captain had been in his quarters with a headache all day. Rave slipped into the room and stood at the foot of the captain's bed.
"Hey, you! I was the gilded one before you took my arm!" He roared the lie smoothly. The captain jumped and almost screamed.
"M-My G-God! It is you!" the captain stuttered.
"I have returned for my revenge! Your men lay dead on your ship's deck and now you will join them!" Rave reached out with his right arm which clamped down on the captain's neck with more force than necessary. The captain made choking sounds.
"B-B-But why!?" he managed.
"You destroyed my home, stole my stuff, and survived my bullet." Rave threw the captain at the quarter's door and the captain shot through them. He landed at the feet of his first mate.
"Cap'n?" He said with shock. But the captain was scared worse.
"How be ye alive! The Gilded One say yer all dead!" the captain screamed, insanity clear in his eyes. He backed towards the railing and fell off the ship, screaming: "Yer already dead!!" until he disappeared.
Rave stepped out of the captain's quarters and dusted off his suit.
"Well now, who's next?"
Renenvall Air-Port 6 days later...
"and 40000. That's 40000 coppers for the ship. Amazingly under-priced." The barter said in wonder. "I wouldn't have even offered such a low price to buy it! Amazing!" He nodded as Rave handed a deed to the crook salesman.
"Thank-you. I have no wish to be on a ship like that one there. Too much death." Rave said with a tip of his hat and headed into the bustling city, leaving the barter with a questioning look on his face.
And thus ends the first chapter of Rave N. Mad's adventures...

SpoilerIf you have a suggestion or a question now then contact me and ask away. (Blue=Rank) (Red=Job)
Captain: TakenSpoilerIt has often been said that pirates were one of the first true democracies, in that they elected their captains, and often other officers as well. It must be stated that though there are several examples of pirates being voted into and out of power this was not always the case by any means.
Whether he commanded by election or imposition the pirate captain was the supreme commander aboard his ship. The men sailed where he told them to, fought when and whom he told them to and on the whole were ruled by him. For the elected captain his position was a precarious one, his men would obey him as long as he kept making sensible orders and brought them success, if he failed they would vote him out of office and elect another in his place. For the captain who ruled by force the position was equally precarious, if he failed to lead them successfully he faced mutiny and murder.
Lieutenant: TakenSpoilerIt is often stated that the ship's quartermaster was the second in command. On larger pirate ships the second in command was the lieutenant.
The duties of the lieutenant were more or less to act as the captain's deputy. He commanded in the captain's absence, often took command of prizes, and during battle should have positioned himself in the forecastle while the captain was on the quarter- or poop-deck.
Master:SpoilerThe master of any ship was in charge of navigation and the actual business of sailing the vessel. In matters of seamanship the master should have been obeyed entirely. In the 17th century Butler described the duties of the master thus: "to undertake the conduction of [a ship] to the places and ports whither she is bound, and to shape all courses as may best conduce thereunto;... He is to enquire and take account of all the ways that the ship hath made and upon what points of the compass she hath been steered in every watch; and to this end he is to take a view of the traverse board, and to consider of all the dead reckonings. And by his observations, to take the height of the sun or star, or both, with his astrolabe, backstaff, Jacob staff or quadrant, and accordingly prick his cart [chart, or sea card]."
On vessels too small to have both a captain and master the same man did both jobs, thus in some cases the term "master" is interchangeable with "captain".
Boatswain:SpoilerThe boatswain (or bosun) was one of the most important men aboard any sailing vessel. He was responsible for "...all the ropes in general belonging to the ship: with all her cables, anchors, and sails; her flags, colours and pendants...". He was also responsible for making sure every man was correctly on watch and at his station. During battle it was a small group of the best seamen under the command of the boatswain and his mates (if he had any) who saw to the sailing of the ship while most of the crew worked the cannons. On many ships the boatswain was also responsible for discipline. In some ships the boatswain also took on the duties of master gunner.
Gunner: TakenSpoilerThe gunner's duties included taking charge of all the ship's cannon, ensuring they were properly maintained and that the crews were trained in their use. He was responsible for ensuring all the gun ports were closed in bad weather and for making sure all guns were secured. In battle the gunner would often be near the helm, advising the helmsman on how to steer so as to be able to aim the ship's artillery better. It has already been noted that in some small vessels the duties of gunner and boatswain were shared by the same man.
Carpenter:SpoilerThe carpenter was an officer responsible for the maintenance of the ship below the deck level (including the hull, decks, bulkheads etc), in the same way that the boatswain was responsible for everything above the deck. He was responsible for replacing damaged or worn masts and yards, repairing or replacing the rudder or any other timber which needed it and for stopping leaks. Carpenters were usually experienced seamen as well as tradesmen, and often enjoyed a similar rank to boatswains.
Mates:SpoilerA mate aboard a sailing vessel could be anything since many officers had "mates", but unless it is otherwise specified usually meant "Master's mate". Master's mates were similar in rank to boatswains, sometimes above and sometimes below them. If a ship had no seperate master, only a captain/master then the term "mate" was often used to mean second in command (still literally the master's mate) instead of a lieutenant.
Royal Navy ships often had more than one mate(ranking lower than a boatswain), depending on size, but I have found no record of a pirate vessel with two or more master's mates, and many were not even big enough to warrant even one.
Pilot:(We have one)Spoileran officer partly responsible for navigation, particularly in shore navigation. Sometimes the pilot was a permanent officer on the ship, but often was just hired (or pressed) for a particular piece of coast or harbour.
Coxswain: (I'm not sure about this one)Spoilera junior officer with duties similar to the boatswain. He was also in charge of the second largest of the ship's boats.
Sailmaker:Spoilernot only was this man responsible for mending the ship's sails, but he also had charge of making and repairing flags, and often making slop clothing for the men.
Doctor: TakenSpoilervery few pirate ships probably had doctors or surgeons aboard. On those that did, he was responsible not only for the treatment of injuries but for seeing to the general health of the crew. Although we know that a number of surgeons volunteered to accompany the buccaneering expeditions of the late 17th century it is probably that most doctors aboard pirate ships of the Golden Age were pressed men, forced to join when their own ship was captured.
Engineer (we have 2)
Scout (we have 1)
