It was a hotter than average day outside but the dark room in the centre of the resort was refreshingly chilled. King ducked his head as he entered the room, the heavily reinforced wall was one of the few he could not simply walk straight through. Hearing the heavy footsteps approaching Sawyer rotated upon his axis in midair, almost robotically. King gazed past the Porygon2 at the wall of screens, mountains of papers and tangles of wire that filled the room.
"There has been about a 100% rise in number of residents this year King" said the Porygon in an unnervingly artificial voice. "I've finished the paper work and everything checks out so far."
"More applicants means more work." The words were a low rumble, yet there was an undertone of excitement in the Tyranitar's voice.
"Certainly" replied Sawyer, the artificial voice rising slightly. Sawyer was brilliant but it had not managed to get it's head around proper intonation, meaning it's artificial voice was always unsettling. "They'll require a welcome speech".
"Aye." Was Kings only reply as he exited. Ducking again through the low door.
King stood in the area where the new resident pokemon were gathering, heavy arms folded in front of him. He stood significantly taller than most of the new comers and tail swung to and through ominously. Letting the pokemon gather before him he begun to speak in a thnderous voice: "Welcome to pokemon resort! Pleasure to meet you. While you're here we expect you to have fun but there also stay in line. No fighting pokemon who don't want to fight and no excessive damage to property. Apart from that knock yourselves out. Oh and the whole areas monitored so don't think just because I'm not there I won't know what's happening. Now that's out the way go wild."
