Welcome, Baronet, to the life of a titled peer in the Empire of Elysium.
You have done well thus far to gain a title from your lowly origins, but this is only the true beginning of your now noble bloodline, and the start of your quest. What quest, you say? Why, but to make it so your line become Royal, no, Imperial down the shifting sands of time, of course!
With your Baronet title you will gain control of a small plot of land in a Barony and be tested to see if you are worthy by you peers, your servants and, of course, by your betters. What type of land and what obligations you will gain will be negotiated later, but please make yourself presentable to the Titling Rite tomorrow morning, at dawn. You will know more then. Rejoice, for new paths open before you starting tomorrow!
The Empire of Elysium is a fictional empire much like Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece in it's setting, a age of both enlightenment and strife fighting for dominance both inside the great empire's borders and out, where the ambitious Emperor Judeon IV strive to yet again extend his empire by both martial conquests and political manoeuvring. This world is both marvellous and ruthless, and you will have to be on your guard at all times if you intend to thrive.
You will start with one sole character and will be able to control up to three, that is the Head of the family, his wife (or vice versa in a matriarchal clan) and finally the Heir. Following children and siblings will be alike to currency, when you will be in charge of them, their education and their training and in turn they will give back either money, information, knowledge or objects at certain times at both your convenience and yours truly, depending on the situation or event.
Each character, either playable or not, will have three major traits, five qualities and four flaws that you will have to manoeuvre around or take advantage of to succeed in whatever your character and through them, you yourself, want to accomplish.
I will be the Narrator in this tale, and will work with you to make something worth playing while simultaneously manipulating events to my whim and giving life to NPCs. For this to work, I will need a small group of patient and friendly players willing to work with me and, sometimes, together to craft an epic, as this is pretty much a sandbox thing.
Are you ready?
