Occasionally, I'll be submitted or come across a character with a link to a page that displays that character's personality as a prewritten "archetype" found in fiction across the ages. The explanations of that archetype are generally in-depth on what that character will do, but it still seems impersonal to me. Yes, it's an archetype, but using a prewritten suggestion should be something to build off of and reference, not something to use instead of a handwritten personality. (<-OPinion) I've gotten into a habit of avoiding heavily interacting with characters who do use this.
Thoughts on if this is acceptable or not? I personally find it to be lazy. Actually, correction, I think it's lazy in advanced roleplay. I've got lower standards for browsing casual, and I find it somewhat more acceptable. Somewhat. POLLS! Because poll.
