I am pumped on vamps right now. What more is there to say? Here's my idea...
ATTENTION!!! There will be no playable humans in this. There will be no human-vampire romance. To hell with cliches, we're breaking those new traditions! We will rely on the older vampire myths and do this as realistically as possible. Better study up on you're old-fashioned, non-pussified blood suckers, because you're taking a ride you'll never forget!
Vampires are rare, gifted beings with an added curse. While they are given a slew of powers and a powerful intellect, they must feed on the blood of humans (and ONLY humans) to survive. The slightest bite of food or the smallest sip of drink will cause heavy vomiting, since the body refuses to accept food anymore. They are located only in certain areas of Eastern Europe, particularly spots in Romania. Our story begins with the first vampire...
They called him Alessandro. It meant "Defender of Mankind" in an old language. The name has been put to shame since he was born. Alessandro is the only case of a vampire who has been born, not created by fangs or rituals. He is truly the vampire god, for he has lived for well over a millennial, and is the root of all vampires. Alessandro would have turned the entire population into vampires by now, but he makes them a rare occurrence so his race can live off the humans without a shortage. So far, there is only about 1-3 in most Romanian villages and towns.
Alessandro has always kept the world rule-free for vampires, leaving them able to figure it out for themselves. But there is one rule he enforces with absolute seriousness: Always kill the living when feeding, never let them become a vampire. It's for this reason that Alessandro made three heirs that would perform the duties of vampiric reproduction. They were Dario, Leandro, and Thana.
Dario was the first to be gifted with vampirism and the trust of Alessandro. He was symbolized by the color red, and so all his subjects have red eyes. Dario's tree of vampiric children are often given the wisdom of the vampire race, which means they are often the ones to help enforce and uphold the rules of the vampire families. They are also very intelligent and very quick-witted. They cannot handle silver, but are by far the fastest vampires on foot.
Leandro was the second, and he was symbolized by the color gold. All his subjects have golden eyes, or rarely silver. Some even have mixed silver-gold eyes. His subjects bare the traits of high wealth, an inclination to count money frequently, and are the only vampire type that can touch and handle silver.
Thana was the third, and the only female of the group. The eyes of her subjects are often of changing colors, though are primarily reddish-brown or grey when in a content and calm state. Thana's children of the night often are very creative, and considered incredibly strange by other vampire families. They are the ones that came up with wearing cloaks. Her children are the most physically superior, having incredible reflexes, immense strength and powerful senses. Their incredible sense of smell makes garlic (and any other smelly items) unbearable to be around.
The three vampires families are currently in a state of peace, but trouble is brewing. A disease is spreading to humans, otherwise known as the Black Plague. It kills the humans before the vampires can get to them, and the humans are blaming vampires for the plague. Someone needs to do something, before they both get wiped out.
What do you guys think? I hope I get interest soon, school has a chance of getting in the way.
