He can play the piano and the violin. He also does not read notes very well; instead he plays by ear. Meaning he can play anything he hears if he listens to it enough.

Insects, loud noises, obnoxious and rude people, clowns, thunder storms, very small spaces, heights.
Shy, kind, quiet, mostly keeps to himself, likes helping people, is very self-conscious; about himself and about his talent, gets flustered quiet easily.
When Daire's mother was pregnant with him she became ill. She soon recovered but when Daire was born he was born very weak and frail. The doctors were also shocked to discover that his left eye was blue but his right eye was a strange vermilion color and that he was blind in that eye. As a child Daire was always kept inside, not able to run around and play in the open air like other children of his age. So to occupy his time his grandmother taught him how to play the piano. His parents scorned at the idea; they wanted their son to be a successful businessman but he didn't seem to hold any interest in that.
Daire loved music, he loved creating it and so he vowed to be a composer. His parents tried everything in their power to persuade him to give up on this silly dream; even going to far as to say his playing wasn't any good. His grandmother however stood by his side, making his parents remarks fade into the background.
When he turned fifteen his grandmother grew gravely ill. Daire watched as the women who he regarded as immortal slowly faded away before his very eyes. It wasn't long after that she passed away and, without his grandmother's words of comfort his parents words slowly chipped away at his confidence. But he was determined to pursue his dream, his grandmother having made that her dying wish and so he left for Japan to take the Saotome entrance exam.
He tends to speak in Irish when he is flustered or angered.
He is gay and rooms with Matsu
