The man who claims to rule and teach
Is only master for the rich
And anyway succumbs
To the laws of nature in the end
-The ForeshadowingSlow decay and rest
As we're running fast,
And the mighty ones are nothing
But the last ones.
-The ForeshadowingIf you give the world a chance
It will beat you down to your knees.
If you try to fight it back
It will beat you again and again.
-VildhjartaEverything is a weapon if you hold it right.
-Dead or Alive 5 OSTJust a few facts that I thought you should know...
Life increases your chances of dying,
so why are you trying at all?
On a walk in the summer sun you're more likely to be in a homocide,
not to mention the cancer you'll get and the light waves frying your eyes.
As you're breathing this air,
you're increasing your chances of getting diseased,
so retreat in your house with your spouse,
the one person most likely to kill you.
Imagine a leaf as it falls to the ground
whining about an obstruction on the way down,
curling itself to shield from the wind so hopelessly.
-CireLife is a lesson
You learn it when it's over
I finished it hours ago.
The ending was sort of meh.
And it felt like Natsunao was meant to make me feel something remotely like I cared what happened to him in the last episode, when I didn't. He disappeared forever, like, fucking shit. I was expecting him to team up with the doctor and have one epic battle against blue-haired guy, but instead, all that happens is he comes back, gets his ass kicked, throws himself and blue-hair into a pit, then blows them up with dynamite. To top that off, it was his own fault he died in the first place.
And, like, no closure at all, because the dumbass priest gets away with Sunako, and we're left without any knowledge at all of whether the villagers got away with their systematic slaughter, or if there were enough remains after the fire to figure out they murdered those people.
Also...what happened to the apparent floating the vampires can do? Nao or whatever her name is is shown to fly/float, very easily in the episode where she first appears at the clinic to try and get to her mother. The vampires are shown to have super speed (even the really old ones) and yet they never use their speed or their floatiness to get away. They just run, and get stabbed to shit. I get the sun was coming up, but seriously? Hmm, angry mob of totally murderous, loss-stricken psychopaths, or, some burns that my body will simply heal in a few minutes.
All in all, it was decent.
I found it hilarious at the end how they tried to get me to give a single fuck about Megumi after painting her as the biggest spoiled brat and most malicious asshole of all the vampires, except for maybe Blue-hair guy. When her head got crushed by that tractor, I fucking laughed and said, "Bitch finally got what she deserved."
And finally, how in the hell did Akira get to the hospital where his sister was? Last we saw of him he was tied up and about to get eaten by Grandpa Mr. Universe vampire. Am I supposed to just assume Natsunao saved him because he was there? They never show or explain how the hell it came about, I was totally expecting a surprise ending where it's discovered that Akira had actually become a Jinrou and begins the cycle over again in the city.
