(minus a good bit of the armor, which will be a much later addition)
Jix Moros | Eighteen years old | Human
Indignant towards injustice, Jix is very serious and dedicated in his duty as a protector of the realm. Having given up most of his childish ways long ago, he is a relatively simple individual, attempting to do as much good as he possibly can, but trying to get the most out of life at the same time. He frequently dreams of a world where conflict is resolved through peaceful, non-violent means, but knows that that future is just an illusion. He is somewhat of a pacifist, but would not hesitate to raise a weapon if his or another one's well-being is threatened. Thoroughly disciplined to strictly adhere to the knightly code, he is excessively loyal to the lives of his people to a fault, which more than often has him overworking himself all around. Through this, he has earned the respect of many, but others worry about him due to his willingness to give his own life for the country's sake. Deep down, Jix continues to blame himself over his brother and mother's deaths, but doesn't show it.
Jix Moros was not the prodigious child of a great warrior or a descendant of a powerful aristocrat; he was an ordinary peasant who reached and sought for the stars. Born and reared in Risa, he was the youngest son of two in an average farming family, with his father often taking more than three jobs at once to provide for them. No more than five years into his life, his father was called into compulsory military service, and since he would never see him again, this led to the notion that he was killed in the frontlines. He had a fiery childhood filled with many friends and company, becoming notorious around Risa as one of its prominent troublemakers. However, when he was nine years old, a fire erupted in the town, and his older brother was consumed by the flames. No sooner after it was put out, he was approached by the spirit of his brother, who explicitly expressed his emotions of anger towards Jix, framing him over their death and wishing that they hadn't been siblings.
Scarred by his brother's death and further mired by their scolding, Jix abandoned his troublemaker's ways and quickly transitioned into an esteemed child, seemingly the turning point in his life. He began working around the town and helping others over the next decade, but more importantly, supporting his mother who was on the brink of depression. Slowly, his relationship with his old friends began to deteriorate as he continually spoke to them less and less, growing distant from them. At seventeen, his mother took her own life and upon discovering her, Jix was told to not be burdened by his brother's death, and thanked him for turning his life around, knowing that his father would've been proud of him. Being left alone in the world, he set course for the capital where he volunteered to join the army. At first, he was ignored due to being two years under the requirement, but after moments of persuasion, they granted him the permission to be placed in a battalion and to train as a recruit, but he would have to wait until he was of age to actually fight in the front lines. Jix passed training at the tops of his class and was offered an officer rank that would allow him to go to the frontlines despite his age, but he declined. Jix returned to Risa shortly after his eighteenth birthday as a soldier on reserve, joining the town's militia and living by himself in his family's old home, resuming his activities around to provide for himself.
Jix can see and communicate with the recently deceased, something that has haunted him for years.
